I'm alright, finally cleaned off my bed so it's usable. My next step for cleaning is to get all my cards sorted and into longboxes. I also got my SO-DO Saber shelf sorted for the time being, but I'm probably gonna need more space to get all the saber figs up. I'd like to figure out how I can get the rest of my SO-DO figures up on display. I'm considering selling some cards I've got that are expensive to pay for dental work (parents paid it already, but I need to pay em back) and rebuild my savings.

Oh also! I started collecting the new digimon ccg. So far it seems pretty interesting, I hope I can play it one day. Also have been buying pokemon cards which probably isnt super smart, so I'll be trying to stop. Unsure what to do about mtg, might just switch to digital for that. I do have a nice big stack of cards I can sell though, so that's nice.

Edit: I bought 7 pokemon packs when I went to buy toploaders today.

So apparently AnimeLab, Australia and New Zealand's anime platform, is shutting own and merging with Funimation.

For those who have experience with Funimation, what's it like? I plan on getting a free account with them once they merge (I don't mind advertisements) but I really want to know if it's good or not. I had a really good experience with AnimeLab so I'm not getting something garbage after the merger.

In terms of both app and customer service, FUNimation has been known to be pretty trash.

They're also slowly gaining a monopoly on anime distribution, which is concerning.

My (admittedly limited) experience with them hasn't been bad, but I never like seeing "the biggest guy in the business just absorbed the smaller guys". Monopolies ain't great!

Unfortunately yes. When it comes to their smaller properties, let's just say they're known for taking... liberties, with their subs and dubs, and leave t at that.

Yeah Funi is hit or miss.

Honestly I've been fine with their Dynazenon subs so they aren't entirely awful. But yeah, Funi's pretty much just absorbing anything and everything really.

Also I snickered at that image, and tbh, it's not the worst subs I've seen when it comes to certain... styles...

My only real problems with Funimation has been the videos buffering and the PS4 app having server crashes, but other than that, my experience has been fine.

Pretty frustrating and stressful day here, but I managed. And as if to give me a silver lining, pulled Arjunort today with a couple multis in FGO.

And while we're on the subject, you can actually cheese Funimation by watching as much as you can without a subscription or account, then delete your history (Or at least on Funimation?) and repeat the cycle. Of course, I've never actually tried it myself, but I'm told you can do that.

I wouldn't know, as I got sick of Crunchyroll breaking my computer with it's ads, then adding more and third party ads, AND THEN adding unskippable two minute ads, that I got sick of it. Now I use what streaming services I have available like Netflix and Hulu, the latter I used to use when it was free, or pirate which I use more often as that's the only option left to me.

As a massive fan of Bonnie Tyler, I can say that the trailer won me over quickly thanks to their song choice :lol

I forget if it's been done before, but man, I love that the He-Man transformation sequence is just a magical girl (Or in this case boy) transformation.

I finished all my assignments for uni today, so in celebration I ate all the chocolates I've been hoarding since the beginning of the year.

In hindsight, not the best idea. I'm feeling a bit queasy at the moment.

That's one reason why I didn't want them to pick up the W anime because I wanted Sentai Filmworks or Viz media to release it instead. Funimation is still iffy when it comes to dubbing and subbing. It won't surprise me if they change names in the W anime. They even change Toppo to Top in the dub for Dragon Ball Super and pronounced Zamau's name wrong.

The US DoH is currently (and has been for the past year) looking into potential anti-trust with the Crunchyroll + Funimation merger.

It's all very complicated because CR and Funimation are something of their own studios, as well as acting as publisher and/or creator for content like manga and video games.

Finalized my lil Ultraman display now that the stuff I picked up for my birthday came in.

Someone please remind me to post the stuff I've bought at some point, cause I got a bunch of painting stuff from my local gaming store recently, and am going to start painting minis (particularly 40k or at least start there)

My family started watching Friends on Netflix recently. I can see why it's considered one of the best TV shows, the writing is fantastic.

Looks like my pirde month event got canceled due to the weather. They thought it would rain today ��.

Finished El Chapo. Honestly I think I enjoyed it more than I do Narcos. Kind of helped that everyone felt a bit more fleshed-out and it didn't seem as... chaotic, I guess? Something about the way Narcos is paced just comes across as very messy and I can't explain why.

Ugh I chose the exact worst time to try to learn how to paint minis. There's so much other stuff I want (mainly SODO).
