All Sentai teams are essentially a form of privatized police force.

Okay, so I finally saw the episode Hakaiser debuts and, he looks absolutely fantastic! Though it is a little disappointing that he might be replacing Stacaesar down the road.

The Zenryoku Cannon feels very Kamen Rider Zi-O, heck the mech has 45 as it's faceplate, so that checks. Though I would like to see the actual suit for the mech because the toy image looks a little goony, though I love the idea for it, especially that the cannon turns into a spaceship!

Probably not what the sound bite is going for, making this an unfortunate albeit not totally undeserved comparison!

In most instances, you just have to accept that cops and military will give any given Sentai a pass, largely because they're so successful. The other explanation is that cops and military aren't central to the characters or the story so the vigilante aspect isn't addressed. These two explanations are nixed when dealing with Cop Sentai or Defense Force/Military Sentai.

The best on-screen explanation is the Go-Onger episode centering on Gunpei and his old cop partner who said rather explicitly that Gaiark is not subject to city cop jurisdiction and that's why the Go-Onger have support. I mentally factor this in most series.

I suppose it fits cause of "IMAGINATION", but seeing ToQger as a "Mystic Sentai" is mildly surreal!

I'm just very happy that ToQger gets associated with Magine -- I just keep winning with this show!

Personally, I don't think ToQGer should be associated with anything. So the fact that it's associated with both Magine and Ricky is a double loss for me.

Anyway, the one I'm curious about is Gokaiger being in the secret group, despite having a highly visible giant flying red skyship. Surely space pirates belong in the space group.

That's cool! I still don't get why you hate ToQger so much that you need to bring it up any time it's so much as mentioned, but gotcha!

Gokaiger is probably because there's already a lot in 'Space', or maybe just to have Zenkaiser and Twokaiser share a spot. Fiveman definitely confuses me in 'Space' though, I guess there's just no better place for it to go?

Fiveman did a lot of space travel when they were kids and went back to space in the finale, so that might be the reason. I think the space group could afford one more, since the animal group is the largest with 6 Sentai.
