As for Natsumi, she went to wherever all the secondary Riders that aren't Diend and Birth and all the non-core Sentai that aren't Gokai Silver went to. |

Well I like it, no matter how many times you try and say it's bad like it's a fact. Plus, they shot a lot of original footage for Dragon Knight, you can tell because they have better cameras and worse choreography. I think they worked in and built around very well. Also watched more Wizard, I still find that driver obnoxiously annoying but the fight scenes are spectacular and I like the themes and concepts and so on. |

ok, so i finally broke down and watched a kamen rider show, OOO actually pretty good, kinda gettin used to one hero instead of a group :lol
|
I'm still watching Wizard and still enjoying it, I'm even starting to tolerate that obnoxious driver.

I watched Agito episode 3. Really like the characters and story so far. I want to see more of Ryou because he intrigues me.

And man, I really need to watch Agito... |
Kamen Rider Black episode 1: Pretty good, actually. Watching Episode 2 for sure. Standout bits include a slick yet retro suit, a catchy theme song, neat Henshin and that scene where he and his brother were showering and dropped the soap. Also, the voiceover for this show is deffinitely the same guy as GaoGaiGar's narrator.

Fo' serious tho', considering everyone hated on Jungle Fury, Jungle Fury sure was sweet. |

Also his transformation is so cool, how he turns kinda organicy-bugfaced before becoming Black. No wonder Shotaro thinks he's awesome.

Black 2: Okay, so that clears up the origin better. I wasn't sure the way scenes cut exactly what was happening. Black is still really cool, but that fight had weird effects and wire work. They weren't dated so much as ust awkward shots, like reversing falling into the water to show them jumping out. Funny that, overall, the wirework in this was better than Fourze's in Mega Max I watched some of. Also he beat up a cat. I'm offended.

Still loving Den-O so far. Finished up to episode 23. Yuto' s rider forms and Zeroliner are pretty cool. Sieg is...interesting so far. But if I have one complaint it's that uh....the evil Imagin's "out of control" forms are pretty much just gonna be those same two cgi models, aren't they?
|
Just finished Agito episode 4, really enjoyed it. I'm loving Shouichi and Hikawa they are awesome characters and the villains are creepy and such an intriguing plot so far.

They never made more Gigadeath models. |

It's been a while since I've seen Den-O, but if I recall, don't the monsters just start spawning two Gigadeaths instead of one?
|
Sometimes. Gigadeaths are gradualy phased out, only really showing up when a new train does.

|
So I watched Episode 1 of the Original Kamen Rider and that was really good. I enjoyed that series I'll watch more of it every now and then.

So I'm watching more Wizard and...what is it with Kamen Rider and obnoxious civilian characters? That is once again something that put me off W. Is there something contracted that all civilian characters have to be written as annoying as physically possible? I mean I know each of them has their own ways of adding to the story but the fact that there is as much conflict on people fighting over Haruto as there is protecting the Gates is just stupid.
I'm enjoying everything else though. The action scenes are great, I love the monster designs and as clumsy and clunky as Wizard's henshins are for the most part I still appreciate that he has so many forms and special moves because it keeps things interesting. Coming from a show with teams of six, sometimes more, it isn't easy to have only one on one fights but Wizard is almost a Sentai team in one person and I dig it. I also think the concepts of The Gates is a clever one. A lot of Toku, despite knowing the formula inside and out, still seems to spread itself very thin having to come up with contrived reasons as to why the main villains aren't defeated in the opening episodes. However because, at least at this moment in the show, the Gates are the primary focus the of the week episodes are as central to the story as anything else, meaning it almost erases filler, at least the literal definition. |
You honestly have to pick your poison. For example, Kamen Rider Blade doesn't have a very annoying civilian (There is one present, but he's not very annoying), but he has 3 forms max, there are 4 Riders, but their presence is spread, etc etc.
