Build Fighters 15.

I guess it was inevitable that this series would eventually start slipping. From Gunpla Mafia, to Moon Moon dressing up as a ninja complete with katana and spying on people everything started to get very silly, even in context.

Luckily then, just when I thought the show might start slipping into Yu-Gi-Oh Land it delivered the very best fight of the entire series. Honestly it is one of the best fights I've seen, period. Fist pumping, goosebumps inducing intensity.

Fenice is a gorgeous looking Gundam and it was nice to see a more serious side to Fellini that lived up to his own reputation. I was getting a little tired of the comic relief side they kept forcing upon us. Cannot wait for the finals now.

I've gotta ask is that a condom by the TV Tokyo logo?

Watched the first ep of Disk Wars, wasn't as horrible as I expected it to be, honestly at moments I actually thought it was pretty good. Now where can I get me a DISK Wars Captain America figure? He looks sweet.

Build Fighters 16.

Although it was a little on the nose, some good character focus is really something this show was in dying need of, so it was nice to get that from Reiji and Aila. Plus as ridiculous as the whole Undercover Gunpla Cop thing is, Sei's Dad is pretty cool.

Disk Wars 2.

The show captures the characters pretty well, but it's weird getting used to them all speaking in Japanese. Earth's Mightiest Heroes (fantastic show by the way) was criticised for trying to replicate the voices from the movies, but I felt that worked as those are the voices we've come to associate the characters with. It certainly works better than them all speaking in Japanese.

The animation is so-so but the fight sequences are still pretty decent. It certainly made me smile in how they've subtly 'Japanified' the heroes, with them shouting out their attack names dramatically, even when simply throwing a shield or something as simple as that.

Japan, taking simple things and making them awesome.

Captain Earth 5:

I really don't know how I feel about this series yet.

On one hand, I love world building and some aspects of the show. On the other hand…it feels like the show is doing too much at once and not really doing enough to expand on upon what they've already built.

I don't know, each episode they reveal one conspiracy after the next but I still don't know how it's all relative. My biggest question involves the Kill T Gang.

They need to bring their machines to earth, but if they're already quite skilled at piloting earth based mobile weapons and they're able to manipulate machines..why exactly do they need them? I get the impression that they can, if they want bring down Earth's defences on their own if they really wanted to.

And now there's the fact that apparently they're either cannibals or aliens that feed on humans.

I don't know…it's not the worst mecha anime I've seen I mean…I managed to enjoy Valvrave all the way through after all. I really do want to see how this series goes it's just…it raises more questions with no real interest in answering any of them.

So i watched an episode of Attack on titan and... I'm not impressed, i'll admit it has a beautiful artstyle but overall i just find myself looking at the screen bored and Horrified.

If you watched the episode that just aired on Toonami, then it was also just episode 2. Which was a pretty boring episode. Except for a little Armored Titan action in the beginning, nothing happens. So you missed the interesting bits of episode 1 and saw what's probably the most boring episode of them all. After it jumps to the "present" to get things rolling in episode 3, things get interesting.

Read the manga. It is better paced.

By the way, is there an article that explains why the series drew flak for its writer's political views?

Build Fighters 17.

Mao's Master has some pretty sweet looking Gunpla, I've gotta admit as the series has progressed and focused more on http://www.morphinlegacy.com/wp-cont...0.46.48-AM.png, it does make me feel kinda sad - and jealous of the cast of the show - that I can't model build for shit. I guess I've always got Dynasty Warriors Gundam for a new way to explore all these beautiful designs.

Sadly the actual battle left... a little to be desired. That fight with Fellini was basically Kuuga's climactic battle, only with giant robots and EPIC. It wasn't just the visuals, but those were great, it was all the emotion as well, I just don't think it'll be easy to replicate it to that levels again, it was TTGL on eleven.

I mean this episodes battle wasn't bad, but it just didn't touch my soul in the same way the battle with Fenice did. I guess it helps that I really like Fellini as a character too while I've never much cared for Mao.

Yeah, my sentiments are pretty much the same at the moment. I think its biggest problem is that it suffers from the same problems all Bones mecha series do - they constantly throw out random names and terminology without really explaining any of them, relying on the strength of the characters to progress things while the questions just pile up. The Eureka Sevens and Star Driver were guilty of it too.

I decided to check out some dubs today:

First AKB0048, and man...it's just average...I mean, I guess the actors do an ok job, and they didn't bother to dub the songs, which that is a real pet peeve of mine with dubs, it bothered me with the Japanese dub of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and it bothers me here.

Attack on Titan: Yeah...not hearing the Abridge on Titan voices kinda tripped me out. :lol I mean, the voices fit well enough, and the actors do a pretty decent job.

been watching pretty cure near the end of the first season and i be moving on to max heart. at the same time i want to watch and give madoka dub a try cause i watched it subbed before. and ill be on crunchy roll watching anime though that due to the fact my que is big

The guy who voices Eren Jager in the AoT dub actually voices Rin Okumura in the Blue Exoricist dub, how do I know this? They sound f**king similar when they scream :lol.

It's Toei's magical girl franchise.

It's meant to be for a young female audience in the same manner Kamen Rider and Sentai are meant for a young male audience, it just shares so many of the same episode structures and plot layouts as toku that it's enjoyable for basically anyone.

I love the design for DISK War's Thor.

He's badass as fuck too. Honestly if it was better animated I'd say the show was genuinely great going on those first two episodes. I expected something really horrible and what I got was something really fun, that was able to be a really clichéd anime while still perfectly capturing the feel of the characters it was adapting.

Ummm...Either Futari Wa Pretty Cure, the first series, or HeartCatch Precure, the most popular series. Those are probably the best bets.

HeartCatch is easier since it's the most popular series. For Futari Wa, just try "Pretty Cure". If not, it's probably cause it's an old series. It came out in 2004 so I wouldn't be surprised.

Crunchyroll is no good for me, I can't stream as my internet is so slow.

I'd also suggest the ongoing Precure series Happiness Charge Precure. The show has been really good IMO.

The first episode didn't really win me over. It didn't start feeling like an Avengers show till about half way through and until then it seemed to struggle if it wanted to be a typical shounen show or not and even then…it's odd as hell listening to Cap speak Japanese.

I've enjoyed shounen hey kids buy all these toys type animes before so maybe I'll give it another go once enough of it has been subbed and I can binge watch.
