Actually, I think it has more to do with the differences between the seasons than the characters. If Luna had been the first Blue, she clearly would have a chance to shine and her idol stuff wouldn't have seemed like background noise.

True, could be an unfortunate side effect of Season 2 having less character focus, which Luna needed the most. Considering the ending though, Mitsuki fans should probably be glad she got NASA-ed.

Cool, Higashi was my favorite as well, alongside Bamba. Feels like JAKQ's problem was that it tried to do too much when maybe it should've stuck to a consistent formula instead.

Nice to see Deka, Kirama and Go Green in your top 10.

I'll save my Black Ranking for after I've watched more Showa Sentai, as all I have for that right now is Goggle Black and Black Bison, the order of which would be too predictable to justify ranking.

Interesting how Time Blue and Bluebuster are in similar positions. I recall they were both the most reserved of their respective teams.

Finished Mirai Sentai Timeranger (the Sentai that came out the Year I was born!), and it was way better than I was expecting!

While the Timeranger suits aren't my favorite designs, the characters themselves really stood out becoming some of my favorites in Sentai, differing from what I initially had in mind from first impressions, and they all definitely grew on me. The Londerz (I got the money laundering pun) were also an interesting bunch, Don Dolnero's human disguise is exactly what I imagine from him, but he was also a rather surprising villain whenever his ties with some of the other villains was explored. And the mechs were some of my favorites from most of the Sentai I've watched. Time Robo Beta or Time Shadow might be my favorite overall.

I had a lot of fun watching this series, but I've also been watching Gekisou Sentai Carranger on the side and am currently halfway through, and boy is this show a riot, I'm really loving it (Signalman is probably one of my favorite parts)! Hope to be able to finish it soon.

And finally a (relatively minor) update of Sentai ranking list for sixth rangers. I will be doing my final (for now) updated ranking list for all of the Sentai seasons I have watched so far for another day and I will hold off my ranking for the white rangers of Super Sentai until I have watched and finished Zenkaiger.

This is a great show. The characters are genuinely enjoyable and impressive in their development. The villains, while cartoonishly generic and not given any particular arcs, come off as strikingly alive. And the show really makes you feel the gravity and seriousness of the situation, working the time travel theme to its fullest.

They're great just for their time travel. Especially Time Shadow. And I kept wondering if there was some subtext to the fact that the scene of planting the flag on the moon was linked to Dracula and Moses crossing the Red Sea.
