Only money. And Figuarts.

So there's already a review of the S.H. Figuarts Mario and his add-on packs on YouTube, but...man, I've never heard someone call something 'crap' so many times in a toy review before.

The guy bashes everything about the figure and the same in the add-on pack reviews he does.

Is it actually a bad figure or does the guy just have some kind of vendetta?

It's probably somebody completely unused to this type of figure/are used to seamless statues (see: most reviews on Figma Link, who didn't understand things as simple as "ugly" articulation cuts), so I really wouldn't value that opinion at all.

If they are a regular reviewer... Well nothing about it has seemed bad thus far to make me believe him either.

When he gets to the head articulation is pretty much the point he starts to bitch.

I can understand not liking some of the limited movement, but the guy just goes off on how bad Mario is with the head joint and the arms.

It's not some Hot Toys figure I mean, it's a Mario figure with poseability. Something you don't get often outside of the classic 'five joint' figures of the 80s and early 90s.

Yeah, I kind of see this in the same vein as the D-Arts Pokémon. Heck, when has Mario ever done any super crazy poses? Just look at the Wii Fit Trainer Smash Bros. video, Mario couldn't even do a tree pose. (Well, he could, but I doubt that Nintendo wanted Mario's arms clipping through his head. :lol)

Nnnope, don't care about his opinion.

Complains about there being accessory packs... But raves about the low price of just the figure. Well if they were all together imagine how expensive it would be.

Wants fireball effects and other items... This is Super Mario, not Smash Bros. Mario. A Mario in a white and red jumpsuit would indeed be inexcusable without such an accessory, but this one doesn't need that really. Other hands in general, I'll give him.

"The coin is boring because it's just a coin." ...You expected something else...? Mumbled complaints [seriously, I can't understand most of what he says because of that] about the mushroom being simple so it better be "damn perfect" and it's not to him. Again, it's a mushroom. I don't really see what went wrong there.

And now I hit that part with the articulation... Holy hell he became super snarky at that point. Okay, yes, the head doesn't look like it can move a whole lot by his demonstration. I'd still prefer to see it in hand over somebody who just before tried to crush his question mark block.. And my one complaint with this figure is the lack of alternate heads, so I agree there too. But that one thing just set him off and wow...

In general it still does what I expected it to and looks great in general. I'm not about to go cancel at all.

Edit: Oh and then I just listened to the very end. Yep, he's 100% expecting it to be like the Smash character, given how he started rambling about getting that collection together. Sure, that's partly why I'm interested in the figure too. But I fully realize that this Mario is not that Mario.

I haven't bothered with the video primarily because of it's time length, but wow it sounds rather petty...
