Well in some cases stuff happens that has to be changed. In Den-O, Hana or whatever her name was had to be changed because her actress left, either due to illness or being on the receiving end of sexual harassment, idk which one. They had to write around that and did that surprisingly well. Look at Kamen Rider Wizard, Koyomi was supposed to be a lot more important but because of her actress' busy schedule they literally could not do anything. There's also cases of stuff not making sense, though that's more of a localization thing and not for a base script. Sorry, but that rule of yours is ridiculous

Are you a writer yourself? As a film student, I can assure you that scripts change all the time. Better ideas, things not working, issues with cast, crew, and equipment, budget issues, and a ton of other unpredictable circumstances take place, and they need to make changes to adapt. That "DO NOT CHANGE THE SCRIPT" mentality doesn't exist in show business, especially in something like Super Sentai.

And when producers do stick with it you end up with shit like the How I Met Your Mother series finale.

As I do not want to derail this thread with D&D banter, I will merely say the one time I tried to change the plot by simply cutting out a section of an adventure, it ended up rendering three character choices made useless, stripping out major background details for a character and confusing everyone. To be fair, I was a newer gamemaster at the time and the adventure in question was hook mountain massacre.

Also, Ohranger isn’t that bad. I mean, yes, it has a lot of very, very bad episodes. But if you were to only watch the 30-ish episodes written by Sugimura and Inoue, the show is legit great.

I mean he almost always shows up, so why can't they be ready for him? If they shot him, then we wouldn't get a Mecha/Giant Monster battle!!! Megaranger isn't the only one where a recurring monster/creature enlarges the Monster-of-the-Week! Changeman, Flashman, Maskman all did that! Other Sentai used recurring villains! Goseiger used the bugs which looked like bats! Naria in Zyuohger would come down and slip a coin in the slot...literally! It's not something to dwell on too heavily!

As for the Megaranger guy, he was supposedly with the Doc when everything ended (trying not to spoil too much here)!!! He made a flashback cameo in Gingaman vs. Megaranger which implied that he was responsible for one final act before collapsing (still trying to avoid spoilers)!!!

If that happened we probably would get a Robot Chicken bit. :lolol

Well, a Sentai can use multiple themes without including it in the name.

Depends on how much you want the other themes to revolve around that one. I mean you could use something like Atlantis or Mu, sea life and marine vehicles or you could go for more tangently connected things.

Heh I got a friend into Sentai and a few weeks ago we were brainstorming a series and he threw out seagoing vessels. Didn't last long as I pointed out most of the fighting needs to be on land, which is why there's so few aquatic alt mode transformers and you won't see an entire Zord team like that. Personally I want a construction theamed team and mecha. He also threw out an underground race for antagonists, and was a little dissappointed when I told him Underground Empire Tube existed. Any other underground antagonists in Sentai I'm forgetting about? Anyways I had to inform him that Sentai's been around so long it's getting harder to find things they haven't done and themes they haven't used.

I think we could also have somekind of space pirates as antagonists again.
