I'm getting back in the SIC stuff after many years of not collecting them. IMO, if you're on the fence about it then I'd advise against it because the older ones are very, very had to find and they are EXPENSIVE. I'm trying to start off by getting all the Heisei Riders right now (one form each to start) and it's costing me about close to $100 bucks a pop, so it's a majorly expensive endeavor.

For me, the appeal of the SIC figures IS their size as well as the interpretations and sculpts done by Takayuki Takeya and Kenji Ando. While I do enjoy Masked Rider (although I'm more of a Showa Era guy), the gritty techno-organic vibe and hyper-detailed sculpting is what make me love this line.

If you're already into the Figuarts figures, I'd stick with that. If you want a little taste of SIC in your collection, the smaller Takumi Damashii is still amazingly sculpted and detailed and is way,way more affordable.

They are a few years old and it took me a really long time to track them down. I found them on Amazon Japan and had a secondary service buy and ship them to me.

The worst thing about SIC stuff is that is tends to shoot up in price rather quickly after about 6-10 months after its initial release, so getting the older ones are a bit of a deterrent for most people-- unless you're a compulsive completist like me!

In my opinion, it was worth the work and cash I paid to get these guys in my collection because Rider 1 & 2 are the ones who kicked off the whole Rider saga, and they look way cooler than the original SIC Rider 1 & 2 based on the original show.
