Keep a few Timer Balls ready to rely on after failing with the Ultra Balls.

I had 1 Timer Ball, and those things only become really good after 30 turns.

Get 30 Ultra Balls then, haha.

Also consider getting a Pokemon with False Swipe. Aegislash, for example.

Don't forget someone that has a Sleep move.

Venasaur and sleep powder made catching pokemon this play through sooooooooooo much easier, though I find that now all I need is a Quick Ball and bit of luck.

Actually, there's a formula for Timer Balls.
1× + 1229 ÷ 4096× (0.3×) per turn passed in the battle, maximum 4×
The maximum being a 4x modifier kind of makes is useless compared to Dusk Balls (3.5x at night/in caves), though.

Unless you've got a really powerful legendary not found in a dark place.

Which means unless it's Rayquaza, I'm pretty sure you're fine :p

Got my Immunity Gligars. Took me awhile to narrow them down from the Poke Hordes. Breeding begins in earnest soon.

I want to run a Status enducer team but I really dont want to go to the usual suspects like Venusaur and Breloom. I really would like a Leech Seeder like Whimiscott...which I just realised is completely absent in the regular game. How good is Gogoat? Being just Grass has me skeptical but if his baseline stats are competitive I wouldn't mind giving him a try.

Decided to have a go at a rating battle out of boredom last night. Got matched against someone with about 50 link battles to their name when this was my second :lol

Managed to win in the end though :D my Florges is a lot more powerful than I give her credit for.

I think i may be going a little overboard with the customisation in this game, i've saved my usual style away and experimenting with every piece of clothing to see what looks good on me.

I also changed my hairstyle back to my old one but kept the blonde color.

I was pretty disappointed with the trainer customisation. The one thing I wanted was to be able to wear a suit or shirt/tie and the game didn't deliver.

The female trainer has like 3 shirt/tie's.

Unless I can have the male trainer in a skirt (Dat kilt!), it's kind of a moot point. If someone is aiming for a certain aesthetic or design of a character, it's kind of pointless if he has to change gender to pull it off.

Oh, and I'm thinking about training up a Venusaur next.

I wish I could access past trainer outfits like Ruby's or Gold's and I wish I could also wear the glasses accessory as actual glasses.

My only disappointment witn the customisation is that we can't dress the trainer as may.

Finally got around to beating the Elite 4. This has gotta be the easiest Elite Four that i can remember fighting. The only issue I ran into actually was the AI spamming an endless supply of full restores but that's about it, really.

I love the music for fighting the champion though.

I think i went a teensy bit overboard on chanching my character.

During my first battle against the Champion, I actually thought she was going to stall out Magnezone's Flash Cannon by constantly Full Restoring her Mega Gardevoir :lol

Anyway, for the next game, I'm fine with the initial battle with the E4 having 4 Pokemon, but on the rematch, at least let them stand some sort of chance and give them a 5th Pokemon on their team...

Oh damn…that ending…dem feels. Never thought a pokemon game would make me wanna shed a tear. :(
