I bet PR 2017 would have done better at the box office if they didn't release it in March. You had the latest F&F movie and Kong: Skull Island around that time.

If nothing else I give it points for actually taking some risks with the characterization as opposed to repeating the cookie-cutter personalities of the original cast.

It does however drag on too long and have too little actual action for my liking. And I'm still not a huge fan of the visual styling of... anything, except maybe Rita.
