Eh.. People said the same about Yoshi and he turned out great. The little joints and seems you see in these high res photos really won't be particularly noticeable in person.

I remember similar complaints about Charizard and Mewtwo when they were first shown too and how many regret passing them up now? :lol

Personally, I'm not really that into Pokemon to be buying figuarts of them...despite it being a huge part of childhood.

Neat, and yet not neat. I'm glad I only grabbed one clone and skipped the others. Though my OCD demands that Bandai release the colored officer decos of the clones, and that I buy one of each when they do. Taste the rainbow. :/

I really don't know how to feel about that Pikachu.
On one hand, I don't regret picking up Mewtwo, but on the other, that Pikachu just looks awkward as hell...

That's a good point too. Sometimes they just don't photograph that well.

I think Pikachu looks fine. The only way for it to really look better is to eliminate all the joints and to make it a static figure, but for an articulated figure it does the job.

Goku looks good! I'm liking the look of the new redesigned hip joint. No more pulling the leg down to increase range in the legs. Probably also less prone to breaking as well.

Got Pikachu pre-ordered. Didn't expect him to be difficult to get anyway heh.

Also it seems Kylo Ren and the First Order Stormtrooper will be releasing on Dec 18. (Is that news? Now that I think about it I believe that was known when they were announced lol. But I just now realized my own issues with that.) I'll be out of town starting the 22nd for a week... Maybe I'll pick a slightly slower shipping speed so it doesn't end up sitting in the apartment's athletic office and with my luck they actually end up enforcing their tyrannical package policy of only holding things for two days.. (Which they never have for me, but holidays and increased volume and all.) EMS just hasn't been getting to me very quickly at all lately.

I had no previous interest in getting a Trunks but that body looks FANTASTIC. It pains me that he's getting a whole new body and Vegeta is stuck with a recolour. I'd love Vegeta with this body and alternate heads instead of the SSJ3 that was at the event :(

Yeah, Bandai's treatment of Vegeta is really odd. I don't get it.

They'll do a Cyborg/Cell-era Vegeta with this excact body after they sold Trunks. This will happen.

It might, but I more expect them to just retool the SSJ3 body (which in turn is probably just an armour-less version of this) and do Majin Vegeta since it's yet another variant. Thinking about it, I'd probably prefer that more.

Either is better than the SSJ3 one though.

not quite due SSJ 3 vegeta sues a Gi that sleveless where as the armour has sleeves but like i take every dbz viguart they just give him blue atm to represent sleeves

On double checking, the SSJ3 Vegeta mould is nowhere near as nice as the Trunks mould anyway :( it has the old hips while Trunks has the newer kind.

after I see bandai model kit of phasma, I kinda see how figuarts phasma is the inferior one. dat chrome is really nice and show accurate.

Yup. And I would totally buy the model kit instead, but surprise! They are not allowed to sell those model kits outside of Japan anymore... crap.

I'm still baffled how this (and the the Hot Toys one) are the only figures on the market to get the shiny chrome look right. It can't be that expensive to make, right? And yes, it will flake eventually, but that's no reason to make all of the figure dull gray instead.

So my only option is either to wait until Hasbro releases a shiny version of the Black-series one as some obscure exclusive or just buy the SHF. And I think I'll just buy the SHF. If I like the movie and Phasma appears longer than 10 seconds that is.

Also, no Phasma is “show” accurate because she’s from a movie :^)

Eh, Figuarts still looks much better to me. Accurate or not the chrome looks really tacky and that much on a Figuart doesn't look great. Gavan is proof of that.

Plus the chrome could easily chip like it did on the Space Sheriff ones. I think the SHF looks better for how rustic and battle worn it kinda looks, same thing with the Black Series one.

Yeah, I personally dig the the more weathered look myself.

Plus unless the model kit is undergated, there's a high chance that nub marks will just ruin the chrome.

I'll take Bandai Silver over chrome any day. Just looks better over all, lasts longer, and isn't a fingerprint magnet like chrome is.

That's actually my main reason for not feeling dropping the chrome on the SHF isn't a terrible choice :lol

The Figuarts Phasma isn't chrome, because that's how she looks in the concept art. The same things happened with Ultron and a few other Figuarts, where they end up looking inaccurate because of the final designs changing from the concept art. I guess it's a side effect of rushing to have these things produced so fast.

I'll try to get both, cuz the Figuarts will be a much better figure than the model kit, but the kit is shiny. I've got room for both in my life.

Saint Seiya... why? Don’t they already have a line-up of those? Feels like a waste.

The rest isn’t really interesting either because most of those franchises already have tons of merchandise.

Don't think so, they seem to be asking for franchises, not characters. Maybe there's an anime named Jiraiya which we can't find info on since searching for "Jiraiya anime" only gives you Naruto.

I believe certain Toku is huge in Brazil. SHF Juspion was released as an exclusive in Brazil after all.

GSC released two Levi figmas. I own the cleaning version. It's pretty funny.

Always wanted a Jean, tho...

Bandai taking a swing at it could be cool though, since figmas can get pretty finicky with their accessories. (Though I don't actually own any of the ones with maneuvering gear). I doubt Bandai would really be releasing too many supporting characters either, though.

While both could have come with more accessories (but you can say that about a lot of figures, and at the end of the day when it comes to Link you can't please everyone), you make it sound like either of them were expensive when they were released. They were both like 3500 yen each. That's considerably less than Figma cost now, and most come with much less.

Oh right, that Jiraiya. Now I get it. Yeah, I would take on of those.
