Gokaiger 25

My computer crashed and once again I lost what I was typing, so here's the short version: I recognize the villains from their Ninja Storm counterparts, or their father's Ninja Storm counterparts, I should say. I liked Gai's non combat use of Gokaichange when he used Bokensilver's weapon to find the chestnuts.

Speaking of which, turning people into chesnuts then converting them into a missile to to shoot at the Earth and turn it's entire population to chestnuts is an amazing villainous plan. Hurricaneger cameo was cool. Oh and Kelzacks/whatever their sentai counterparts are called. Didn't expect them!

The Hurricanegers were pretty cool, defeating those foot soldiers with their swords alone. But Marvelous, Joe, and Luka are trapped in some ninja subdimension! And of course, this being a two parter, it doesn't' look like the Hurricanegers are willing to give up their great power so easily.

It was kida cool that Gai stood up to some of his idols as well.

Gokaiger 26

Well leave it to the three more amicable Gokaigers to let the guest starring Sentai team to have their powers back, at least for a while. And Marvelous, Luka, and Joe are trapped in...a quiz show. Man... space ninja powers are kind of ridiculous. I guess that's why they needed experts on it to save the rest of the team there.

And so the rest of the team will have something to do this episode, Barizorg and Insarn decide to attack. Boy am I completely lost on this quiz though. Hurricanegers seem to have had enough as well, still unimpressed with the three toughest Gokaigers, they rush in to save the day.

They get captured, when whathisface reveals he still has the people-chesnuts, but they gain respect for the Gokaigers to reveal they avoided answering the questions to not harm the captured people, despite the Gokaigers claiming the opposite as usual. so with a headbutt of respect, the Hurricanegers challenge clown guy jr to a quiz of their own.

I have to say, I like the Hurricanegers quiz a lot better. Then...team up! The hurricanegers are pretty popular right? I know they had that reunion special not too long ago and I heard they were among the most well remembered Sentai. I can kinda see that, given they're the only rangers to have their guest appearance be a full team-up episode, not counting the Goseigers in the movie.

Anyway team up was pretty awesome, I like the massive group final wave. I also like how Shimazu's counterpart jr addressed the audience before he blew up the first time. And here's the Hurricanegers' great power. Hurricane Gokai-Oh. Then it's group pic time as the Goakigers and Hurricanegers chill out in the ship.

All in all an awesome two-parter.

So...when does the Ghost ship movie take place anyway? Or can I just watch it anytime?

I usually watch it after 28 since that is how the BDs work.

You can watch it whenever. But to be honest, its kinda meh... You're really not missing anything if you can't track it down.

Akibaranger 03

I feel dirty. That should be the tagline for this show. "Akibaranger! You'll love every second but leave feeling ashamed of yourself!" :lol

The absolute best part of the entire episode was when Red and Yellow's delusions kept battling each other in an endless loop of slash fiction and Malshiina innocently blasting him away into more slash fiction. Everytime Yellow collasped, I laughed :lol

Samurai Sentai Shinknger 09

Great episode, and it introduced Human Juuzou nicely. Though, I admit, when he first became human I was expecting Rick Medina :lol Mouduka seems alot more laid back then he did in Samurai. He just relaxes, downs sake, and pervs on Dayu.

Goseiger Episodes 18 & 19:

Gosei Knight is awesome, and now I'm even more confused as to what his mecha is supposed to be called. The voice says "Grand" but the card says "Ground"... WHICH IS IT!!!

Akibaranger 04

I am getting more and more jealous of Akagi's Sentai knowledge.. I am finding. Because, mostly, my name's Sentai and I don't have that knowledge!

No, that's Gai's first episode. Basco's first episode is 15. And sense we are talking about that area of the show, 199 Heroes goes right after 16.

I always go with the pronunciations, not the spelling. As there are lots of things in English which are spelt very differently to how they are actually pronounced.

I really don't miss that Gosei Mecha though, it only got worse as it went along.

It's supposed to be Groundion to represent Landick, but its pronounced and written as Grandion (グランディオン) likely as a mistake in translation from "Ground". The other two mecha are Skyion for Skyick and Sealeon for Seaick, so "Groundion" makes the most sense.

Getting through Hurricanger, as great as I remember it.

Yup, it's Groundion. The pronounciation can be misleading, but see for example Magiranger, were it was supposed to be Green Ground but it still sounded like Grand- that's because the Japanese language can't properly mimic an English "ou"-sound.

I finished the end of Gokaiger the last 7 episodes, and I loved it. It ended very, very well. So many cool scenes and a very good ending. Great to see a lot of the actors come back at the end (Shouji from Dairanger hasn't aged at all lol) Joe, Doc, Gai, and Ahim are some of my favorites and Marvelous was really great at the end and Luka is awesome too. I love all the characters by the end. Probably going to continue another Sentai with my friends after this one.

Akibaranger 05

I feel I should've been warned, and I blame you all. Without warning my funny, lighthearted, crazy-ass, Unofficial Sentai show turned... The feels -_- I won't ruin it for people who haven't watched, but damn. I need to go give Moegi a hug.

Didn't I tell you to watch that episode last year before writing off the show?

And Akibaranger had it's Moriarty becoming real moment (Star Trek: TNG reference, wtf?!). Was a really good episode though. Mitsuki learned how to be a Sentai, Akagi .. didn't get anything :lol, And Moe was awesome as always.

Plus Malshina in fishnets, when is that a bad thing?!

Watched Gokaiger 27, 29, and 29 but the summary I wrote got lost so here's a quick version.

27: Pretty funny episode, Luka and Doc's actor are pretty good at portraying one another in a switched bodies. Interesting plan from the Zangyack this episode. Aha too bad for Doc he can't hold the attention of the girls Luka set him up with while in his body. Funny how he straightened his bowtie and everything before talking to them.

28: This was an interesting episode. Dunno much about Jetman, but I kinda like this Yuuki dude. I didn't quite believe Gai at first when he said they were the most eccentric Sentai team, but if he he meant in terms of personality then I suppose so. Wonder why Gai couldn't see Yuki's ghost though? Is it 'cause he was a sixth ranger when Jetman had none? Or just because it was funny.

The monster was pretty cool, though I thin he could've been built up more or something. Also is there any context for Yuuki in neon bar heaven or is that just something they set up for this episode?

29: Haha, this was a weird one. The first time the cameo characters role had been fairly small, I guess. Didn't know Zangyacks could catch a cold or that Gai's Gokaicellular was a camera phone as well, but why not? Ahim having a wacky plan to defeat the enemy was...weird. Entertaining though. And at least it worked.

And this is the Abarepink thing I've heard about. The transformation at the end when they noticed all late that she had some goofball costume was pretty hilarious. Also...what was with those weird eyecatches during the wedding part and at the end? Was that an Abaranger thing or something?

And the second part to Abaranger's great power is revealed! Combining Kyoryujin with Gokai-Oh. Nice to see them all in a mech cockpit together.

Akibaranger Ep 07

... What in the hell is going on?! Malshina somehow pulled a Moriarty and came into this world, she was created along with the Z-Cune's by Hakase's father. ... And I'm confused. My fun happy show about delusions and upskirt shots turned into whatever this is.

... Sentai is confused.

Eri sucked. Eri sucked because - unpopular opinion - I don't find sentai a particularly strong storytelling medium, so I was blown away by how interesting and complex Goseiger's characters were. But then there is Eri, she is just there, her only detail is she is really peppy, oh and she is a girl. What a fucking waste, it's like she was added in post. And it's even more depressing that the utter stain that is Megaforce, actually made Gosei Pink into more of a character.

So Epic on the Movie. Some people love it, others absolutely hate it. What do I think?... It's okay. I'll admit the plot was a tad rush in introducing the whole Horn of Ragnorok plot point but then again what Sentai summer movie isn't incredibly rushed with it's half hour run time? Gosei Wonder was cool (Please tell he's not a movie only mecha! :D) and the alien lady was interesting. Now that ending... simply beautiful. All in all, not bad but not great either.

Next up, Epic 23: Burn Goseiger!... This one won't end well.

She was given a task and she wanted to make sure it was completed to keep the boy (and in turn his family) happy. Protecting the earth is an angle's duty after all and that includes protecting the smiles of it's people, no matter how small they are.

... besides, I'm pretty sure the other Goseigers and Gosei Knight were more the capable to handle the monster and she still managed to get to the battle and finish the cake didn't she?
