Hot. Damn.
Today's episode was just awesome. I know there are a lot of people who find this show pretty bland compared to season 1, and while it may not be perfect, I still find myself enjoying it immensely each week. But this episode just had an absolutely fantastic battle. |
I'm actually quite looking forward to checking out this one. The ones not focusing on a Try Fighters battle have always been great.

I will say that I was wrong in picking the winner, but I will also say that I am happy the Academy won. It does make Lucas' character plot pointless, but it was a great fight with an amazing ending.
Plus, Haro Drones! |
The amount of SD love is great too, I wasn't into SDs a lot back then but the Winning's and the SxDxG are really neat SD kits.

D: why do some people hate Gyanko?
I see people say she's oversexualised, but, :T at least she's not in spandex all the time. |
I'm sure this came up before but people hate Gyanko? Everywhere I look she's by far the most popular character of the show.
|
I kind of love Gyanko so I don't get the hate either :(

Good fight and looking forward to next week's episode as well now. Really want HG transcient(?) gundam now

Superb episode. Actual stakes, proper team tactics, no clear winner until the very end. Other than Lucas ending up being a complete non-character this has definitely been one of Try's best moments.

So you can build gunpla to give other gunpla energy...bull shit.
Predictable, it is a word that I've been using throughout this season, and it returns here. That episode was more sub par nonsense with a predictable story and outcome. There was never any doubt that the Academy would win considering how built up they were. Lucas may be a champion, but a one note character only here to connect it a bit more to the original was bound to lose. The fight was predictable and filled with bullshit. I've continually said you have to leave logic at the door, but not here. Try is a series filled with too much BS in fights. From combining with a gunpla that can severely hurt you, to being able to make little helper robots to fix your gunpla, to making gunpla that can transfer energy to you, it's just nothing but BS left and right. The fight wasn't even that great. It was just "How's he winning, oh that's how, fuck him up." Just, ugh, this was just terrible. Try I went into you hyped as all hell, but all you've done is lower my expectations weekly to where I don't even want to watch you anymore. I want to finish the series, but after this shit episode I don't think I'm giving the show any more of my time. |
Yeah here I thought they'd have Lucas win when they had hyped him up so much or at least had Gunpla Academy pull out a win by the skin of their teeth.
But no they continue to be OP by roflstomping Team Nemesis. |

Actually yeah I take back what I said about there being no clear winner until the very end. I forgot that even if Transient had lost the Academy still would have won.
I still think the actual team element was pretty good for the most part. Lucas using his teammates as walking batteries was a pretty good tactic for someone arrogant enough to think he could win on his own. |

Once Wilfred figured out Lucas' strategy *like 3 minutes into the fight* it became a predictable curb-stomp especially since Shia and Saga only took superficial damage at-least team Try Fighters has had to earn their victories. |

That was a cool fight man
And those tactics from Lucas' side were actually really unique and creative Next episode looks fun though TRYON 3!!! |

That's the problem with tournament style animes. You know the main hero is either gonna win or come really close to winning, so all the fights before the finale are predictable.
That being said, I still like the show based on the premises of it. Model kits used to battle? Yes please. It gets children more interested in model building because they see these cool suits on tv and want them too. Yeah, it's marketing, but as long as a child picks up a gunpla kit and goes "Whoa, this is pretty cool!", I'm ok with it. Honestly, in my opinion, if they wanted to keep the series more based towards Sekai's struggle to learn about gunpla battling then the Denial would've handed him his butt. Not because it's my favorite, but it would lead to a perfect second season. Just picture it. Junya shows up out of nowhere claiming he has surpassed the Haoh school of martial arts. He proves it by using different styles to just run rough shot over team Try Fighters, having them lose and being eliminated from the tournament. That would lead the team to train more and get ready for the next season, which in all honesty would give them time to explain his powers and where/why they're there a little better. |
That was a fun fight, it actually had tension and proper strategy.
Shame we won't see skull boxing vs burning punches. Quote:
It's the same principle as giving some electricity from one car to another, they just needed the proper cables. That was the whole gimmick of the Thrones in 00 and the Strike used it's packs in a similar manner, so personally it doesn't bother me. |

Funny how the first build fighters didn't have any problems like try. :^)

putting them on the SD Sinanju that comes with the SD Neo Zeong is not fun. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B_NrvCfWkAEO7zm.jpg I've also built the X Crossbone Maoh and a GM. the Gm kit was fun. |

but this one to be precise. http://www.gundamplanet.com/media/ca.../020_GM_01.jpg and I don't care about the gold needing to be painted. I think it looks just fine UNpainted. |

I really wish Bandai would release an HGUC/MSV version of the Perfect Gundam or at least an affordable upgrade kit |
