Let's Watch Wednesdays Week 11 Gekiranger 31-33
 

Last week we saw Mele obtain the precious SoJyuTou for Rio, in doing so she also broke her own personal code of honor and from that rage obtained DoRinki.

Now the pair have traveled to JyuGenKyo in order meet the Jyuken God and obtain it's power. But the fully assembled 7 Kensei stand in their path. Maku will also attempt to stop Rio's quest for power.

And everyone's favorite gattai GekiRinTouja will make a rare appearance!

So Let's Watch Gekiranger 31-33!

I love this arc. I muscled through pretty much the whole thing in one sitting because I couldn't wait to see what happened next.

Also, Mele is hot.

Also also, fucking Edo set! :mad:

I want to say this was the year the Edo set debuted. Between Ore Tanjou! and episode 33.

The edo set, the time travel in general for these episodes, was utterly pointless. 100% unnecessary.

I don't see what's so wrong with the Edo set. It's the Edo set, if it doesn't show in the series proper than it isn't an official series.

I believe Den-O said that it has been around at least since Gaoranger. And I vaguely recall seeing a similar if not same looking set during the henshin in Time Vs. GoGo.

Really? I don't remember it cropping up Magiranger, Boukenger, or Kabuto. Could they not think of a reason to use it in those series?

It may not have been utilized during those shows but that damn set has been around for ages.

That was atrocious.

If SaiDain is God in Gekiranger, how does religion work in Sentai? I mean, if there was no continuity between seasons at all, a mechanical dinosaur god, angels-in-training, Magic Heaven and a god rhino wouldn't clash so much, even though Gokaiger and the Vs Specials force paths to collide.
So many continuity snarls...
