Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters 2nd Opening Announced

Could this be the start of some heavy retooling?

Interesting. Is this the first time we've gotten two OPs for the same Sentai show?

So we have had..

- Low Ratings
- Producer leave/kicked off
- Gavan will be showing up for a few eps
and now a new OP.

Everybody panic!

Carranger had a remix of the original OP as a second OP from memory

some sentai shows got munti openings like battle fever j and zyuranger

But I love Busters Ready Go! D:
Oh well. I'll probably love this new opening too. ^^

I just hope it's not Hibiki level retooling...

Pretty sure none have had brand new theme songs though.

This is also my worry. Not that I've seen Hibiki, but I know what this implies :lol

If this retool does turn out to make things worse at least we'll have something to rip on. It's like someone wanted to make a Sentai like Power Rangers but instead of the good parts it's full of the stuff that's wrong with both.

Plus this series may make the later parts of Hibiki look good and that's going to be something if that comes true.

There's a preview for the new OP in the link provided. Sounds kinda boring. I don't know about the direction this is going, I like Gobusters as it is.

Yeah, that preview was incredibly bland.

I hate when series have new openings. It always annoyed me when Gundam Seed and Destiny would have like 5 different openings for its run. Even both FMAs did it which was annoying. I can understand shows like One Piece, but even DBZ stuck with the same opening from Episode 1 to Episode 291.

Just heard the preview. It's not bad, but it's no replacement for Busters Ready Go. It sounds more like an ending than anything. Still, it's better than Gokaiger's intro...

With that preview, the song could go simply anywhere. It might be the most amazing thing we've heard or totally suck, we don't know yet. At any rate I hope they don't keep any Engrish screw-ups like "4-2-3-1 let's go!"

The move is rather unprecedented though, and I wonder where they'll go with this. Go-busters will certainly be an interesting case study in the future.

True. I remember thinking Busters Ready Go was way better once I heard the full version. Still, I doubt this new song will top it.

Meh, maybe its just because I watch a lot of anime but that preview suggested the song was extremely generic. "Busters Ready Go" feels like a song for a spy-themed show, but this didn't really feel like anything at all. The full version could be better, but its going to need some great visuals alongside it to beat the first one.

In the wake of the disastrous ratings Toei will not sit on its hands and do nothing, so I think it's the start of some retooling by the producer to get the show back on track.

I doubt Toei wants to read this but I think having some time off from Sentai might do them some good. Get the creative juices flowing again while we get a new Gavan show. I find that when something's not going right I step away from it and come back later. Maybe that's what Toei needs to do too.

It's not awful, but it feels more like an insert song rather than an opening.

will i be the only ine saying this and say this feels like a super sentai intro and feels like it an opening thats means i like it

I actually love that song. The new song plus the seemingly new direction that the most recent episode took have given me hope that this show could finally turn around.

Agreed, doesn't quite have the same energy that Busters Ready Go did.

I really like the new opening. Also, since the show is getting retooled apparently, does that mean that we may see Messiah get destroyed, and then another group of villains show up, in a similar manner as Goseiger? The only reason I'm thinking this might happen is because of Messiah Cell showing up.

I like the new song, but it doesn't make as good an opening as Busters Ready Go. I do hope the new opening features Jin and J more though.

Having just watched Mission 28 with the new OP, I gotta say. . .it doesn't help the "it's just kinda there" feeling I've had watching Go-Busters.
