Hopes and Dreams in Magic
 

Alright, I'll be first.

What are we hoping for in this new series? Based on what you've seen, what you've heard, what you want different than other Riders.

Personally, I'm hoping they find a way to make that Henshin belt less goofy. I do those like the rings. My hope is that his villians match the Zodiarts and give us truely epic battles.

I hope Foundation X plays a bigger role in the grand scheme of things.

I hope Double shows up in the new Movie War movie.

I hope the show will be consistently good and that the henshin sounds will not be as ridiculous in context as heard in the previews.

I hope I'll fall in love with the opening theme song immediately.

Most of all, I hope for another self-sacrificing, heroic Rider as has been the norm recently. I'd much rather not have a anti-hero jerk; if they simply have to do one, make that the secondary rider.

I'm the complete opposite.
I desperately hope they stick to their movies and leave the main series to the actual villains.

I'd like a female second Rider like they tease in the trailer.

I think we may have to wait until the tenth anniversary of W before we get Foundation X as the big bads. Right now it seems too soon for them to start being as active as the other villains right now. It would be pretty cool if we got a series with FX using all the intell they got from the other Rider foes to make their own kaijins.

I'm of the same mindset if they continue using FX as they have been in the past few series (IE: some representative pops up randomly to say that they're tied into it). However, if they'd actually establish themselves as something, as this overarching villainous force, it could make for some great crossover material or what have you. Of course, it'll never happen as I wish, but hopes and dreams.

Agreed. Although if they do appear in the show I'd like it to be a bit more than their 10 second pointless appearance in Fourze.

I read a theory on another forum (can't remember where) that the reason Wizard is going to have so many forms is because that way they can play around with having a main character female rider and it not affect toy sales so badly. Would be awesome if its true.

Now this would be very awesome if true, after nearly 40/+ years I think its about time they had one. =]

I wouldn't mind another female Rider. Maybe that's why they introduced Nada in Fourze, a kind of Female Rider testrun maybe? "Well if she works, then yea. But if she doesn't we'll just keep going."

With a few exceptions, it's more or less tradition to have skirted female Sentai warriors, I think they also serve the purpose of hiding the fact that the females are played in-suit by male stunt actors. (Dekaranger's non-skirted female warriors, with the exception of Dekabright, were played by stunt actresses.)

Goodness, make it so! I would love a female secondary Rider, maybe after this they can make a solo female Sixth Ranger in Super Sentai too.

I think, at some point, he should get some kind of dragon. Like Dragon Redder, but one that becomes a more cohesive set of armor/weapons.

He has one, its either his bike or bits of armour that attach to his bike I think (I'm not sure). Its in the preview for the first episode anyway.

I'm hoping for more than just a quick pointless Foundation X scene. I want to see something really unique come from them like we got in W.

I'm hoping for a really nice nod to magic and a cast that is not on full retard like the MagiRanger cast was. In fact, since this is a rider show, I'm hoping to see a magic themed toku that is serious about its subject material and takes advantage of its themes.

Lastly, you can't have a show about rings and not talk about the Green Lantern Corp. :-p

Magical Girl secondary Rider.

...What? I mean a Magical Girl like a Precure who can kick your ass DBZ style or like a character from Nanoha who can nuke the shit out out of you with magic laser spam. ...Don't judge me.

It sounds cool.
Then you have to either give her the idiot ball for 99% of the series, risk making Wizard look like an ant compared to her, or kill her off before she makes every fight a joke.

I'm not against a female Magical Girl style rider (Though, full armored suit. Not mini skirt and school girl top with a bow on her cleavage). I am against a character who can "Nuke the shit out of you with magic laser spam", however.

Hell yeah. Hope you don't mind, but I am so going to put that over a picture of Wizard.

I don't remember who it was, but someone suggested that the secondary rider be a technology geek that doesn't believe in magic. I'd love for something like that.

But yeah. I still kind of hope for that kind of character.

An anti-magic rider would be freaking awesome. It'd be a nice foil to Wizard being that he's a more (obviously) magical rider than the usual. Kinda like Birth is to OOO.

I hope he's actually a stage magician outside of his transformation and there is no real magic.

Also I want The Final Countdown to blare every time he changes.
(This series is gonna end up my first Rider series just because of all the Arrest Development joke potential)

Well, the Nanoha franchise also has skilled close combat weapon users in addition to the long range weapon users. I was just using the nuke suggestion to make me sound not crazy :lol.

Maybe they could get Yoko Honna to be the Magical Girl rider. She was the little girl from Black and RX who went on to be the seiyuu for Cure Black(who is a shout out to Black). It'd be coming full circle.

Anyway, I don't have any real expectations for Wizard, I'd rather just let the show happen, and go from there. Of course, I'm terrible as a critic, so maybe I should raise my standards a bit.

Loving that. All she needs is some kind of staff, and then someone explaining to me why almost every female warrior in Japan has one. For serious.
