Ron Wasserman's In-Progress Redux of Classic Power Rangers Songs
 

Hey Power Rangers fans!

If you don't know who Ron Wasserman is, allow us to educate you for a moment. If you watched the entirety of the 3 season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and found yourself nodding your head to the beats of some of the songs, including the theme song, then you're a fan of Ron Wasserman as he was the composer of all that juicy 1993 goodness.

Recently at Power Morphicon 3, Ron Wasserman announced that he was doing a "redux" on some of his favorite songs - not for any official reason, just because the songs are 19 years old now and he wanted to go back and "redux" them. He has since posted some samplings of the tracks (although very rough, no special effects, no mixing, all straight from the board) for all of us to enjoy.

Enjoy the samplings of the classic songs - 5-4-1, Fight, We Need a Hero, and I Will Win ... as long as the beginning of his redux version of the longer version of Go Go Power Rangers.

very nice, but there is no improvement on "Go Go Power Rangers" to be had, it was written and recorded over night as a placeholder song for the pilot, now it lives on forever.

i love the newer versions not better then the original but it still sounds awesome

also please Credit Retroranger18 as well due to with out him posting it on a facebook group i would of not post it here

Unless they end up sounding way different by the end, I don't see the point.

These are just straight from his board. What you hear is what Ron hears. No edits. Ron is just recording these songs using today's technology. These are all just rough cuts. The completed versions will sound slightly better.

Improving sound quality, mainly.

You guys obviously don't know how music works :p

There are no effects on these tracks. There is no real mixing on these tracks. There is the music bits, the vocal bits, combined, and posted. THIS IS NOT CLOSE TO A FINAL VERSION.

So yes, it sounds "bad" or "unfinished' because it IS unfinished. I am stoked that he's redoing these, not just remixing. Can't wait to hear them!

I like what I heard. Its definitely a "harder" sound to them and I personally like it. I can't WAIT for the finished product. My friend and I think of his music as the ULTIMATE sparring themes to have in the background.

Huh, and here I thought this was gonna be for Megaforce.

if you email sabanbrands or power rangers .com and get heared they might concider it

I might be in the minority here, but I wouldn't particularly want to see "Go Go Power Rangers" used as the Megaforce main theme. It was changed up for Samurai, so I don't think it should be done again soon. If they do use it, I'd rather an epic continuation of it much like Zeo was to the MMPR theme.

Hell, either way Wasserman should be involved. I'd love to hear some of these redone fight sequence songs in there.

A Zeo-style remix of the classic theme will be very much appreciated by me. :)

That Go Go Power Ranger remix. :cool: I missed Ron Wasserman's music, and it's good to know he's making remixes to the old songs. Can't wait to see the finished product!
