Well since the first episode will air later (8 AM in Japan, which will be 4PM in the US), I decided to make the discussion thread!

I am too! Saw the preview for the second episode, which shows Haruto's first meeting with the White Wizard, who happens to also have a similar appearance to Wizard, but with a white cloak, a hood and an orange/goldish gem for his face

was a really good first episode. :D can't wait for the subs to come out

So it begins. I wonder how the rest of Wizard will play out.

Just finished the raw and this looks like it just might be really fun. Can't wait for the subs. :D

So I just finished the raw too. Wasn't too sure what I'd think of it. As soon as he pulled his bike out of a portal whilst sitting on a street lamp I was pretty much sold. Some very epic fights, looks like the series will have a good bit of action and Haruto seems to have to be badass and Has a kind of quirkiness to him.

All in all I enjoyed it and I look forward to the sub/to the rest, my only gripe was the amount of noise during his form changes. Might be better with headphones on though as the iPad speakers aren't the greatest.

Liked it. Definitely a great new Rider. His fighting style was unique. Much more dynamic when he was using his swordgun in sword mode. His robot dragon was better than I expected. Liked the villain designs.

The cutesy robots fit into Fourze better than they do here, but I guess you need kids fanservice. They clash with the rest of the show though.

I was a little skeeved when he used his belt without wiping his hands after holding that donut! Slob. ;)

So far so good. I usually wait for subs , but i watched the opening. I liked the use of portals for his bike and wizswordgun ( i think that is what it's called )

The action was great, he has a unique fighting style. The Phantoms have a good look to them. I am getting more of a Greeed vibe from them being kaijin with a human form rather then the opposite.

When do subs usually show up? And where can I find them? Hoping to make this my first Kamen Rider series!

Got impatient and watched the raw. Looks good so far. It's hard to peg it down exactly, but this show has an earlier Heisei era vibe to it. In particular, I'm reminded a lot of Den-O, especially with the monster trying to destroy a person's memories and the need for a gigantic CGI battle. I also liked how Haruto has a lot of his powers already; it's been awhile since we had a Rider show like that and it's a nice change from OOO and Fourze's gradual unveiling of their powers. Wizard's moves are pretty cool, too. It was especially nice to see Skyrider's old Rider Break move again.

Most importantly, though, holy crap, that lady cop is hot.

Over-time should have their subs up within the next twelve hours, twenty-four if they hit some delays. TV-Nihon will have theirs up in about a week.

That was actually an awesome first episode! I came into this with low expectations and have been pleasantly surprised. I like Harutos' actor alot, he seems a bit older which I like very much. That backflip rider kick was insanely awesome. And the fight scenes were really well coreographed. I think I'm easily going to love this series.

I only have one issue, and that's just how busy the sound effects coming out of the belt are. There's just waaaaay too much coming out of that thing with music in the background to really enjoy either of them.

Wow, two great things happened. First off, the first episode was pretty cool. I cannot wait to see it subbed because there were a few things I could not catch in the raw. Secondly, I just discovered my brand new tv can actually play unconverted MKVs. YES!!!

Anyway, I thought his henshin was pretty cool and I love his design. The coat is just all kinds of awesome. The designs of the Phantoms are really great looking as well, and I like how we have already met two leaders. That is all I'm going to say right now until I see it subbed.

A good first episode. I think I'm going to enjoy this series.

Man, awesome first episode, the fights were awesome, I really like his fighting style, Haruto's got this whole carefree attitude about him. I even thought the CGI fight was awesome, it looked better than a lot of CGI fights in Fourze. It does seem to have a slightly darker feel to it, with the phantoms killing a human and taking over their body, which reminded me a lot of the earlier Heisei shows. I think the last time we really had a Kaijin that killed a decent amount of people was the Ptera Yummies?

Wasn't too sure how I felt about seeing three of his Styles in the first episode, I was kinda hoping they'd drag out their debuts a little more, even if he already had mastered them. I am also surprised that we're seeing are second Rider in the second episode, even if he probably won't show up much, especially since I'm pretty sure that scene in the preview is a flashback.

Also, I wasn't to sure how I felt about the Belt and PlaMonsters at first, but after seeing the Belt in action, I was pretty much sold, and the I started liking the PlaMonsters once he shrunk down and rode Unicron to break out of prison.

I actually thought the Phantom designs were fairly generic. They didn't really feel original to me. Theyre generic looking enough that they could work as villains for any number of riders but they don't feel unique to this show. And the coat really bugs the crap out of me. Im ready to get some of that White Wizard action next week though! That design is awesome. Its the Gandalf Kamen Rider I always wanted without realizing it! :lol

We haven't had a lot of large scale human death in Rider since Decade. The shows since then have been really light on casualties, especially W and Fourze.

That I actually liked a lot. Let's pull out all the stops right from the start instead of the gradual power-up we get on most Rider shows.

I almost want the Wizardriver now. And I never buy roleplay toys.

My favorite part, oddly, is that he has to re-prime a side if he wants to use that hand twice. It's such a minor point, but I really appreciate that the belt follows rules like that.

^This. Having missed out on W and OOO drivers (still debating on Decadedriver, and not liking the Fourze one) I just might go all in on WizardDriver if the show continues to captivates me like the first episode.

I was gonna skip on this driver, but now if I get enough money, I may get one ^_^

I will agree they could be done in any Rider series, but I still thought they were great. Sometimes series have had a tendency to go from really cool looking villains to wtf was that ones after a few series.

I broke down and watched the raw. I still hate magic, but damn it Kamen Rider, I can't hate you. I even got my girlfriend to watch it because she thought Haruto was hot, so I guess it's a win-win situation.

Is that really win-win? lol I've lost potential girlfriends that way

I just noticed something awesome in the henshin. When the magic circles appear, they are in the correct cardinal direction of the classical element Wizard is using (For the unfamiliar: Five elements (Japanese philosophy)). Fire to his left (East), Earth to his feet (South), and Wind above him (North). He didn't use Water, but I'll bet a donut the circle will form to his right!

If they leave you to chase after some pretty boy fantasy of theirs, then they aren't worth having in the first place, bud.

Watched the sub.
The episode as a whole was okay. The fights were pretty good, but the character moments were a tad bit weaker. After being exposed to early W CGI, I guess I'm no longer as critical to CGI moments, but the CG fight in this episode was a bit weak.

However, something I did notice is that the monster was killed in this episode. Perhaps it won't stick to the 2 episode format as religiously as most recent series?

Anyway, aside from the belt needing to shut the hell up (There's a difference between being active and just blurting out sound effects for no reason), this episode was fine and I'm willing to stick with it because I'm curious how far Haruto's powers extend.

Well that was pretty good. The action is great, the world interests me as do the characters and I like Haruto quite a bit. The only nitpick I really have is it seems the Kamen Riders in this show won't be referred to as such, but that's minor. I have a feeling I'll enjoy this show a lot more than I did Fourze.

Okay, I was pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed that.

...Probably a little too much, because now I want the belt which I wanted to skip. The sounds sound a lot better now that I know what they actually, well, say.

I also totally just got the joke of the magic words being "Please" after my second viewing. I'm pumped for more, and I like that there appears to be a second Rider right off the bat. And considering Haruto already had the Land Style ring, maybe that yellow/orange ring the shop owner was grinding has something to do with it?

I doubt it, I'm pretty sure the other Rider is the White Magician, and that the scene in the preview is a flashback, I would think that the stone the shop owner is grinding might be for the Drago Land ring?

Oh, right, the spell rings are orange too. I haven't done a whole lot of reading on Wizard, so I'm completely in the dark on this whole White Magician business.

I guess I derped a bit there!

Just watched the sub and I honestly didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did. The effects were pretty nice (by Kamen Rider standards) and all in all I found it to just have a nice flow to it.

I'm not sure why though, but I did get a slight Tsukasa vibe from Haruto. I'm sure that'll fade as soon as I get to see more of him though.

Now all I need to do is get used to the lack of compound eyes.

You and I are complete polar opposites then. I just couldn't get enough of the damn thing! I kind of want to get the DX belt now. :lol

I really enjoyed this first episode. And with everybody complaining about the belt being to noisy I'll say that I felt the same way before I saw the episode and only saw the toy demos and now I really want that driver. I have a feeling that we are either going to see a lot more conflict with Haruto and the Dragon and maybe an episode or two where he fails to save someone. All in all I'm really excited for this series.

I just went through the opening sequence, and I must say that Kamen Rider Wizard really makes up for the lost time caused by Fourze. Will definitely follow this throughout 2012-2013.

Okay, so after watching it subbed, there was not too much I really ended up missing beyond that Haruto became a Phantom himself. The episode was still quite good but I swear, that is the most proper henshin device ever.

BTW, I have a question about Over-Time's release itself. Is anyone else having moments where the picture seems to get dark, then light, then dark again? It seems weird and is most noticeable when Haruto is in the jail cell talking to Rinko. Secondly, the subs seem to cut off and continue on the next line a couple of times mid-word. Did anyone notice this? For example, the last word on the top sentence will be pro and then the first word on the bottom sentence would be tect.

Kinda psyched to see Wizard's powered up form,which I'm guessing will be all his henshin rings on one hand.Love the plamonsters.Kind of thing going there.the little gadget machines from joker,the candroids from ooo's and the foodroids from fourze.The belt saying magnificent during the kick was hilarious.Really hyped about this series.

The first episode left a very good impression on me. Suddenly, the doofy hand belt doesn't seem as doofy anymore, though I got a chuckle seeing that the gun asks you to shake hands with it.

The CGI seems way better then what we saw in series past, thank god because Wizard seems to be using quite a bit of it. I'm liking a lot of the characters so far. Haruto seems way more interesting then Gentaro, at the very least he's not too overly obnoxious with the "I'll give you hope" thing, versus Gentaro's "I'LL BE FRIENDS WITH EVERYONE!"

I wanna see Haruto VS Homer Simpson now in a doughnut eating competition. :lol
