Tamashii Nations has released the official images of SH Figuarts Kamen Rider V3. The figure is planned for release in May for ¥3,150. It comes with an effect part and swappable hands.

Damn thats nice. I can't get him though, if i do then he'll need his Showa brothers and i made a promise to my wallet to just get Hesei riders... which then turned into getting the main rider and a support of every series... dammit i'm going to get him aren't I? =p

I'm kinda new to all this... I see this guy is from the Showa era series- have they ever done a SH Figuarts for the original Kamen Rider?

Yep. Rider 1 came out last summer.

V3 looks awesome. Definitely want to get hold of this guy. I love that they included a hand for holding the V3 Hopper.

Bandai released Shin Rider 1 & 2 (the more well known version) a few months back if that is the one you are referring too. The original one though, with dull blue gloves and boots, nope.

Yeah, I was wondering about the original one; what is the distinction between him and Shin Rider 1 (I've seen the figure listed as Shin Ichigo?) is it just a newer costume??

The one released now is the suit that appears in all of the movies now, if anything it might be Tamashi Web exclusive.

Is it still supposed to be the Takeshi Hongo character?

Yes, "canonically," Hongo has sliver gloves and boots now.

It's just a costume. "Shin" Rider 1/Ichigo is the new suit that he switched to when he returned to the show after the actor recovered from his broken legs.
