Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad Finally Comes to DVD!
1 Attachment(s)
Probably the most memorable Power Ranger-wannabe series from the early 90's will be yours to own next year!
Mill Creek Entertainment the distributor for Cookie Jar properties has confirmed that Syber Squad will be released on DVD in 2013. Time to kick some giga-butt! :D |
Freaking Yes! It's about time.
|
Coming to a Walmart $5 bin near you!
|
Yes. Will buy and probably only watch a couple episodes, but yes.
|
Loved this show as a kid, too bad I could never find the toys in my backwater part of the world.
|
HA! I'm surprised this isn't coming through Shout Factory like everything else lost in the 80's and 90's. Cookie Jar doesn't make incredible products, I own their Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century collection, and it didn't blow me away. But I'll probably pick this up at the right price.

On a semi related note. My local Fox channel is airing Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills now in the morning.
The things you find when channel surfing on a day where you should be at work... |
Yes I Hope we get this in a full run box set.

So...sexy...

What Americanized toku show's left? Just VR Troopers and Mystic Knights?
|

VR Troopers is next month along with Beetleborgs and Ninja Turtles Next Mutation. PS Mystic Knights wasn't "Americanized." It was a 100% american original toku. |
I honestly can't remember if I had watched one or two episodes of the copy I found. Either way, my question upon seeing this is: Great, now when's Gridman getting subbed?

Never saw it, but does it include its original Japanese version?
Oh god, I have had enough of Mystic Knights. I had to reference that crap in my Sentai panel this past weekend along with showing a clip from it. I want to just forget that thing ever existed again like I had for the last 15 years. |
Neat :D
Never saw much of this as a kid because it always seemed to be on at awkward times in the UK, but what I saw I enjoyed so I'll probably pick this up at the right price. |
Awesome. :D
|
anyone ever notice some of the extremely moderate "sex" jokes SHSCS would slip in on occasion? it wasn't much but it was refreshing in contrast to PR "what? naw....Tommy & Kimberly aren't hooking up!"
|
I loved this show. It had some very cool monster and mecha designs, and the toyline was a lot of fun.
