Go-Busters Mission 31 discussion "Space Sheriff Gavan Appears!"
 

With Vaglass defeated, the Go-Busters are surprised to be alerted to the appearance of a strange energy in the city. When they investigate they find a robotic woman named Shelly who says she is the partner of Space Sheriff Gavan. The Go-Busters and Gavan work together to stop Rhino Doubler from causing trouble in the city.

In this episode, we will get our first look at the brand new Gavan, seeing as we won't get to see the movie in which Gavan Type G makes his debut in till later this year!

So, what if instead of a sixth ranger…we end up getting Gavan making semi-regular appearances?

I would be perfectly fine with that, cause more Gavan love is always welcomed

In Power Rangers he'll be called RoboBuster :p

or if they make a new metal heroes series (God toei better), they can use it as a way to relaunch vr troopers, the second most successfuly Saban produced tokusatsu right behind power rangers

Given all the Gavan hype lately, it won't surprise me at all if we see a new Metal Heroes series down the pipeline.

Liking Gavan so far, having no real knowledge of his background.

And I'm quite curious where they're going with Vagras now. Heck - I want to know why of all the researchers, Jin's the only one with a physical body (this seems INCREDIBLY suspicious to me the more I think about it)

Man, Gavan came in and owned everybody, didn't he? I got quite a kick out of seeing him in action and them using the old music and a remixed version of the show's theme. :)

Was a good episode, I'm not completely sold on the new Gavan yet but I expect he'll grow on me when I see his own movie. Hearing the theme tune again is always welcome though.

But to be honest, I'm more interested in knowing more about Enter's return than anything else.

And not a single penny was wasted that day :lol

That was another really good episode. And I think I can easily get into the new Gavan. I loved classic Gavan but Geki is a total badass. Very interested to see what Enter is up to. I knew he'd be coming back.

I think I need a Figuarts Gavan type G to go along with the Gobusters now.

New theory on where the series may be going:


The long shot of Enter in shadow at the end seems to imply that he's a physical entity now, instead of just a projection. Could Enter have stolen Jin's body to revive and return???

His hair and a few facial features did seem sort of different.

It's like the Jidai Geki set they made for the Go-Onger summer movie. Gotta use it enough to justify having made it in the first place :lol.

What else was that set used in? I think it was in the Go-On/Geki crossover...

His fingernails got longer to. They look more...feminine...

I'm going to be honest - I noticed that and then spent far too long going back to prior episodes to see if I could find evidence for it being an Enter/Escape hybrid. Wasn't able to see anything conclusive given he already has black fingernails to begin with.

Whatever the case, Enter is goddamn creepy, if only because HE'S SUDDENLY SERIOUS. When a villain like Enter, who loves the flowery dialogue and is full of arrogance, stays in the darkness and says absolutely nothing, especially with his hair looking that disheveled, that's when the villain red flags start popping up like there's no tomorrow.

In addition to the Bunny suit Enter wore earlier in the show, weren't some of the others the ones worn by the Imagin back in Den-O? (Maybe it's a hint at another two episode crossover in Go-Busters? :lol )

Anyway, pretty great episode, and Gavan is pretty awesome. And also, I too am wondering about Nick being able to fly xD

Good episode, Gavan Type G is cool(though honestly not anything I haven't already seen in Gokaiger Vs. Gavan), yada yada yada. But honestly, the thing I liked the most about this episode was hands down the Metaroid. His design is way awesome. It's like if you took the silhouette of a Spawn design, but removed the scrap metal-organic detail and the lizard-tarantula face. Effectively making him look kickass. And he has a gun. And a sword. And his own motorcycle(he has more equipment than most other sentai members!). If somewhere in the sea of stars, there's room for one Metaroid to get a Figuart, please make it Kickassaroid(I know he's unnamed in the episode, but I don't care, he's awesome \( '-')/).

I have to say, having seen some of the original Gavan I was pretty disappointed in Makuu Space here. In the old shows that stuff was incredibly bizarre and trippy, here there were just a couple of doors to different places and some furries. Not even a color filter on the camera to makes things look more unearthly.

I'm more impressed with it here than I was in Gokaiger Vs Gavan. All it did there was bring in previous sentai villains. At least here there was a sense of misdirection and danger.

Nick is like r2-d2. He always could fly , he just kept it secret. Besides, his sense of direction sucks. Atleast on the ground you can ask for directions or read street signs. He would just get lost up there! :lol. P.s. - Gavan is awesome , more please

For a second there I thought I was watching a Kamen Rider show, suddenly everyone has a bike! :lol

Lesse: Shinkenger(can't remember the exact episode...), Shikenger Returns, Gokaiger vs Goseiger, OOO Wondeful Shogun, and Fourze Kyoto trip.

Increase evildoers power by 3-fold.... Seriously, that's pretty freaking op.

It was pretty much just the Space Sheriffs' version of making a monster giant.

Then what's the heroes's powerup ?

The Space Sheriffs usually had access to some nice vehicles - space ships, motorcycles, even some jets and tanks. Mostly, though, they just didn't need a power-up.

Just a thought... How did they escape Makku Space in the end. The portal shut, so...

Isn't Gavan equipped to travel to and from Makku Space?

They got Battle Kenya and DenjiBlue to help. :p

Usually when their swords went all "laser blade" that meant, triple-boost or not, the monster of the week was gonna get they wig split.

Loved this episode (and the last one) and I am anxious to see where this series goes from here. Gavan rules and I hope he gets his own series after the movie. He definitely has the best theme song ever.

Shaider was the only Metal Hero show I saw so if they re-launch the series I'd be happy to follow it too.
So that was Shinken Yellow as Shelly? So you got Shinken Yellow, Yellow Buster and Magi Yellow on one show? A lot of love for the Yellow Warriors.
