Minipla Shinkenoh Reissued in Asian Power Rangers Samurai Toy Line
 

The Minipla Shinkenoh set has been reissued in the Power Rangers Samurai toy line by Bandai Asia. Unlike previous Bandai Asia Minipla reissues, which were made in China, this kit is made in Thailand. Each box comes with the parts runners, sticker sheet and instruction sheet in English. Sadly, there's no ramune candy available.

The Minipla Samurai Megazord is available in the Philippines for Php 349.75 (roughly US$8.35) each or in 4-box set for Php 999.75 (roughly US$24.00) and is available at all toy stores and major department stores under the Power Rangers section.

What's the quality like on them?

What Zeo said =p If they're pretty much the same as the Japanese ones, and I can find them easy enough on eBay, I'll probably pick them up. Loves me some minipla =p

I'm in the middle of assembling/painting the Shishi Origami (a.k.a. Lion Zord), and so far, so good. The parts are shinier than Japanese Minipla parts, but they don't feel brittle or flimsy like the Chinese Minipla kits.

arnt all the shinkenger stuff get resold under power ranger samurai in the Philippines

These should be standard releases for Power Rangers worldwide. I wonder if Bandai would ever consider releasing preassembled kits as Megazord sets? Advertise them as "super-articulated" or something.

i miss the days when bandai realsed the 10cm i think action zords some had nice acticulation and incorperated the gimmic as well for what it need

The Zeo Megazord and Red Battlezord they did were great. If they updated those with some better articulation they'd be fantastic figures.

My Red Battlezord will permanently be in my display until we get an SRC of it (which will probably be never).

i had the time force and the solar max zord the solar max as in ryans zord was good it had good articulation as it was like mini verstion of the DX one but better articulation

I've always liked those Zeo Megazord figures. They fit in well with my 5-6" robots. Currently have my Revo Blade Liger playing with the Warrior Wheel (yes, I like the Warrior Wheel :p).

how good where the sales on thoes figures due to i never under stood why bandai stoped making them

Hey this is great. Might look into getting a set of these to replace my broken Saru Origami if they are cheap enough.

we all know saban is marketing the hell out of power rangers, and there were some gashapon shinkenger stuff released over here because of such demand of product

what do you think the chances are of this showing up in america?

Is the 1st time that these kits have been in pr samurai packaging?

yea there it looks like the Philippines get the the shinkenger stuff and well bandai asia in there area in make the packagin in the look of samurai

In terms of solely Power Rangers Samurai, the Philippines probably has the best selection out there. Very impressed with the ridiculous amount of Shinkenger stuff they get repackaged under Samurai, and the packaging art is always beautiful.

Also, wow, only $25(approximate)? That sure as hell beats the $50 minimum on eBay right now... Eh, why am I complaining? A few months ago I couldn't even find them. XD

The hollowed bits could be a concession, surely. :lol They're not meant to replace the DX figures after all, just offer an alternative. Honestly I think kids would eat them up, especially if they're pre-painted.

I dunno man. I mean, the Minipla are meant to come apart... And the pegs are all weak... The idea of them being pre-built, and painted, in a singular box, with a plastic tray, is just really bizarre to me. Especially since half the time they're not molded in the right colors... I really think Minipla should just stay where it is.

Ah well, perhaps you're right. I guess I was doing a bit of wish-fulfillment back there; I really love the Minipla but my horrendous painting skills ruin most of them.

I'd still settle for Power Rangers releases of Minipla, though. :)

Finally assembled the set and I'm roughly 70% finished painting it. Compared to Gokaioh, the Minipla Shinkenoh is a bit underwhelming, as it suffers from a lot of loose joints and the head has limited mobility. And as with other Minipla kits, the stickers are cheesy. But overall, it's a fun build and it gives me a reason to pick up the Minipla DaiTenkuu set that's been sitting in my local hobby shop for years.

Yes, this is the first Minipla to be marketed as a PR product. All previous Super Sentai Minipla kits retained their original Japanese packaging on their Asian reissues.

Actually thats wrong. The Minipla Kyuukoku Daizyujin set was repackaged as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Ultrazord and Megazord/Dragonzord Fighting Mode. I think some Megaranger and Ohranger stuff may have been repackaged too. These were mostly likely only available in asian countries though.

After seeing those pics, suddenly the Gokai Marine being originally moulded in black doesn't seem so bad :lol

Indeed. I kinda want that minipla combinable Daizyujin at the bottom. But prices are insane.
