Kamen Rider Movie Wars Ultimatum Writers Revealed
1 Attachment(s)
Fresh off the unveiling of Kamen Rider Fourze and Wizard Movie Wars Ultimatum yesterday we now have confirmation of it's writing staff! Returning to write the Fourze portion of the film, set 5 years after the series end with Gentarou as a teacher at Amanogawa, is the series head writer himself Kazuki Nakashima! Of course this would be unsurprising wouldn't it?
However the big reveal here is that Wizards' head writer Tsuyoshi Kida will NOT be writing the Wizard portion of the film. Kida is best known for his beautiful work writing the first 29 episodes of Kamen Rider Hibiki before the series had an abrupt shift and for better or worse Kida was replaced with Toshiki Inoue. Many fans had hoped that Kidas' attachment to Wizard would bring that same flare and originality to the series. So far it has. However the Wizard portion of Movie Wars Ultimatum will in fact be written by Yoshio Urasawa of such sentais as Gekisou Sentai Carranger and Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger! How does this revelation make you feel about the film? Is this a smart decision on Toei's part? What can we expect from Urasawa who has never written for Kamen Rider before? Join TokuNations discussion on the subject! Credit: Rising Sun Tokusatsu |
So basically it is going to be like the OOO vs W movie all over again. WOnderful, just ****ing wonderful.

man you guys give Tsuyoshi Kida way to much credit for Hibiki he only did 5 episodes solo and the rest were him as a partner writer.
also Yoshio Urasawa wrote Bishoujou Kamen Poitrine so he is perfect to do Wizard's portion if it involves her in my opinion. |
For something more recent, Yoshio Urasawa wrote both of the Jealousto episodes of Gokaiger. Most of his credits are comedies. Honestly, I'm not sure about this guy writing Wizard.
...Then again, there's a magical girl here, so going silly is probably the way to go. Quote:

Well that's....not quite I was expecting. Its good that Urasawa is wrote Poitrine I guess, but I hope the movie isn't quite as comedic as their resume might lead me to believe.
I'll keep an open mind though, after all I haven't seen Movie War Core yet :lol |
Aw crap, I hope this doesn't cause another OOO core. The writer of the series should write their section of the movie.
Edit: I see this guy wrote Digimon Adventure. He has my seal of approval. |
Never watched the OOO movie, but it seems to be a cringe-worthy thing for many fans so this comparison must be worrying. All I can do is hope that Urasawa does a good job of it.

Koichi Sakamoto's directing so it'll at least LOOK good.
|
Oh this is gonna be juicy. Primary comedy writer, you say? If you guys hated Shunpei now...
|
This could go either good or bad, I'm hoping it's the former.

Isn't this the same guy rumored to be the writer for Kyouryuger?
The fact that he's writing half of this makes me wonder... |
