gokaiger power up forms
ok so gokaiger dont have there own power up forms but in the ened arnt there power up form really just using the power up form of past sentai
|
They didn't need one. They had enough power ups at their disposal.
Plus I'm kinda glad they didn't. Power up modes are very hit and miss. Deka's swat mode and Magi's Legend mode were awesome, but the Shinken, Gosei and now Go-Buster power ups are kinda meh. EDIT: Just so everyone knows, I didn't forget about Geki's - I just have no strong feelings either way about it :lol |
They are so op they don't need any powerups
|
Gokai didn't need powerups.
They were lame enough as is. Quote:

I think Gokaiger got enough on their hands without needing a powered up form. |

It's really hard to top Goseiger's power up modes. They were super badass looking despite how anybody may feel about them. Sure beats a lame ass white trenchcoat....and i love Shinkenger!
|
Technically they did have one- Gai/GokaiSilver's Gold mode
|
What are you guys talking about? The Shinkenger super-coats were cool! Sure it wasn't much, but it gave those suits just a bit of added style & slickness.

I wouldnt really call the Acceltector pack a power up , its only there because in the show the gun has so much punch to it that it almost kills one of em
and ComicGuy you are not alone on the whole Geki thing, Ive always thought the Super Geki suits looked so much better than the normal ones |
I think you like the Super Geki suits more because the normal suits make use of their primary colors more than other teams. The white breaks it up a lot.
|
ok i was more on about near the ead of gokaiger where they ened up transformering in tot he past sentais super forms
|
Super Modes are very hit and miss. For ever Shinkenger Coat Awesome there was AbaraRed Over Powered.
Gengaman - Miss. They were just belts, arm bands, and some weird hand/claw thing. Not to mention the impractical chest plate it gave Galaxy Mega. Deka - Hit and Miss. Hit because it made sense. You'd expect a police force to have SWAT. Miss because it didn't do much. They got flak jackets and new rifles, and a megazord that could become gun.. as Megazords do. Abara - Miss. Super Dino Mode was alright, but how many damned power ups does one Red Ranger need?! Super, Triassic, and a Battlizer? I won't even get into the fact his Battlizer's weapon was a freaking Yo-Yo! Magi - Miss. They were fugly, face it. Bouken - Yea. Den, you're my buddy. And I know you love Bouken like I love Goseiger. But the vest didn't do much for me. It's a Miss. Geki - Miss. Just is. And it'll stay a miss untill someone explains to me how ninja masters magically gain rocket thrusters. Goseiger - Hit and Miss. Liked the Sword, hated the bulkiness of the vests. Gokaiger - Ah... Back to the topic of this thread. Tiger, they didn't need Super Modes. They were Super Modes. Switching teams is how they gained power, and when they did learn a new power it was for the Gokai Galleon. Gold Mode? I liked it, despite how doofy it looked. What a better topic? Useless Gokai Grand Powers. There's a discussion with no end. |

IMO the Magiranger legend mode was superior in every single way to the Goseiger upgrade. |

And who the hell doesn't like the Lights of Ginga? That's easily one of the best all team power ups there is. It's agile, looks cool, it makes total sense, it's just a solid power up. |

And I am severely disappointed that we didn't get a clusterfuck Megazord. Like, MagiDragon attaching to GokaiOh's back, Patstriker's guns forming shoulder turrets, GaoLion forming the legs, etc etc etc. |
I like how everybody ignored my comment about the Gokaigers at least having one power-up: Gold Mode. Granted, you had to jack Gai's GokaiCellular and Gold Anchor Key, but hey, it was a power-up
BTW: I LOVED MAGIRANGER, AND THE LEGEND MODE. Even if their staffs were just an old telephone dial on a stick |
gokaichristmas anyone?

I have to say, super modes would just further sour my distaste for Gokaiger. I don't think there's been a single super mode I can say I solidly like, save for the Super Shinkengers, simply because it's simple and it doesn't have an overly cluttered design.
|
And now we begin the descent into the Gokaiger is awesome vs it sucks argument :lol
I loved every damn second of Gokaiger and would have killed for the team to get a power up other than Gold mode. As much as i love Gai, Gold Mode was pretty funky. I liked it but I think they could've done better than that if it was for all 6 of them. |
:sighs, strokes the bridge of his nose: You people, sometimes, I wonder what you're collectively smoking.
I don't even know where to start. The Magi-Ranger suits were incredably bad. Especially the Rotary Phone staffs. The Ginga Lights were as amazingly underwhelming as the Go-Bust designs that started these two threads. And Geki.. Yea, no. Just no. And Gokai-Christmas isn't a Super Mode. Gold Mode is a Super Mode, and OOO I didn't ignore it. I posted it on this thread somewhere. Or the last one, I know I posted it. Goseiger = Best Super Mode. Face it. |
Quote:
If that's your criteria for best super modes then I'm surprised you don't rate Operation Overdrive's battlizer higher. Magiranger did all the things a super mode should. It actively changed the way the suit looked while keeping all the same elements, it visibly broke up the colour of the original costumes and, whether you like them or not, the weapons were a natural progression of what the Magirangers already used. Magiranger = best super mode. |
Quote:
How is the rotary phone a natural progression from a cell phone? It's a step backwards. The Goseiger Super Modes are an extension of their Miracle Headders. Thats why their on their chests :eyebrow And the 'gumball machine', as you put it, is a focus. Look inside it sometime and you'll see it has their Headders inside. Focusing the energy of them into an even greater power. Turning their wings into golden armored defenses through their vest. |
Quote:
Its keeping with the same theme, it shows their drawing on the power of old to gain even greater power. They get more powerful staffs, however they channel the magic in a more primitive way. |
The rotary part of the staff is a completely natural progression from using the Magiphones. I mean they cast their spells by 'dialing'. How is incorporating what they do with an external device, into another external device that can also be used as a weapon, stupid? Its a staff weapon just like the Goseiger ones but it has a plausible gimmick based on their preexisting one.

2. That one's awesome, silly Task Force. 3. Yeah, I always thought it was weird how BoA made a Battlizer for Dino Thunder when there was a perfectly better AbareMax that BoJ already made. 4. Per 2. 5. Agree. 6. Per 2 & 4. 7. Don't care for Super Goseiger(watchoutguyswegotabadassoverhere.jpg). Also, why you no mention Fivetector or Megatector? |
I should really get around to watching Megaranger vs Carranger so I can see the Megatector in action...
