At the present moment, there is no official TokuNation podcast. For a brief period of time there was some recordings made, some practice sessions done, etc., but due to time constraints and "real life" getting in the way, it was shelved for the time being.
We (TokuNation) are interested in starting up a podcast, but in a time and format of our choosing, as well as deciding the crew. We will not settle for anything less than professional quality work, and what we had in the works was pretty damn good ... just sucks that the people involved (a longtime toku fan and website owner, a comic book colorist, and a toy designer) had real-life obligations take that free time away. |
*raises hand* for what it is worth...graduated with a radio broadcasting degree...

I think you guys need to align on a couple of things first. The format can be worked out at some point and the cast can be rotating but you need to be able to first get anyone really interested to go online and conversationalize in the same hour, hour and half. Considering I see guys from different timezones on your locations I'd say that will be your first major challenge.
After that comes editing which is another challenging aspect. Despite the informal nature of the WTF@TFW podcast, they actually do a very good job of editing. I'm not sure if they do an editing duty rotation but for any show you guys need to record, you will need at least 3 guys who know how to work sound editing softwares and uploading etc etc... Not to daunt you guys but its great that so many people want to volunteer but just talking about Toku isn't going to make a podcast great. A lot of behind the scenes work needs to be ironed out too. |
yes this is true but first I think we need the mods ok it advertise our podcast here if it is not the official tokunation podcast.

You guys are free to start your own podcast (cannot be an official TokuNation podcast, but you're more than welcome to advertise the site in your podcast and post updates about it here), just please keep in mind that if it begins turning into a rival website/message forum that we will have to close the door on it. It is a network wide rule that we don't allow the promotion of "rival" websites or forums - if news comes from there and such it's fine, but we don't allow the "HEY COME CHECK OUT OUR TOKUSATSU WEBSITE!" type of stuff. Signature advertisements for websites, etc., are allowed though.
