Super Hero Taisen Discussion
Alright, I had no idea what fourm this should go in…but given that the Gobusters have a prominent role in this movie…I figured I might as well put it here.
The Raw has been out for a few days now and on youtube…hopefully this means the sub won't be too far behind. |
Great to see Eiji again as OOO ^_^. I was all hyped to see the Gokaigers become the different combos, but felt disappointed that they were only used in (a pretty epic though) Gokai Galleon Buster finisher. I hope the Director's cut actually has a fight scene with them using it and have OOO join in finishing Silva off
|
Now I need to go back and get the previous OOOs Forms for my Gokaiger display…even though I don't think the OOO mould is the greatest*sigh*
Least the first Four forms go for sort of cheap on mandrake…it's just PutToTyra and TajaDol I'm not to sure on |
Yeah, I agree on the OOO scene. I enjoyed the movie. There are things I would've liked to have seen more of, but I'm satisfied with how it turned out. I'd really like a figure of The Big Machine. An SRC would be nice.
I bought my GataKiriBa from Toyarena and plan to get the others from there too. They're sold out of TaJaDol and PuToTyra. I got my TaJaDol off of amazon relatively cheap. Under $40 shipped. I've got PuToTyra on the way from MutekiSales for $58 shipped. |
I skipping around to watch fight scenes. Cool fight scenes. That's about it. I assume I'll hate the story once I know what they're saying because I've yet to see a movie including Decade that didn't end up hating. On the other hand, I've yet to see a Gokaiger movie I don't like.
PS As I've said in another thread, Tsukasa's new haircut is hilarious. He looks like an emo Doc. I can't look at him without laughing now :lol |

ha! yeah right ;P Hina has more screentime than Fourze + Busters combined. |
i want a putotrya figuart to pose as ahim, gonna make something to badass look so girly

Watched it tonight. Surprisingly easy to follow even without subs(mostly just fight scenes, really). Didn't catch everything though. Why was Captain Marvelous evil? Was he evil on the show? I understand Decade sort of was, so his characterization made more sense.
Should I just watch Gokaiger? |
i liked it it feel like they left it open for a standalone decade film now due narutaki still a live a kaito got decades henshin card
|
Marvelous isn't evil. He's just a take what you get, get what you want done, take no bullshit and challenge anything kind of person. He's a daring fighter and a risk taker. It's why a lot of people like him. He's a young badass, but shows soft spots for his team, and has shown bad decision making to get him into tough spots, though he learned from it. In Gokaiger, he was always up for a challenge and a battle. The whole reason he wanted to treasure hunt was to do something other pirates couldn't.
Four out of the six Gokaigers had very complex character development, with Gai and Doc getting the short end of the stick. Doc had generic reasons for being on the ship and was roped into it by Marvelous. His big moment was learning to fight with what he had and gaining enough confidence. Gai was pretty much Sentai obsessed all season and his lessons centered around the morality of being a hero. |

Funny to see Long being Marvelous's henchman. He could've floored everyone in that room if he wants to.
|
So tempted to just take the plunge and watch this raw.
|
It's not that different, the story is messed up and easy to follow.

I feel like all of my favorites went out like bitches and that was disappointing. I had no idea that Joe and Kaito were essentially the main characters moving the plot along. It was still awesome seeing all these guys interact. I'm going to have to watch the subs to understand the whys a bit more, but still fun.
|
Let's just call them "cannon-fodders that look like sentais and riders" :lol
|
Checked out the raw. All I really got from it was Marvelous looking cool, Diend awesomeness (although I don't know what on earth going on in the end), silly matchups, even sillier Tsukasa hair, lots of colour and plenty of action to make up for the lack of plot.
Pretty much what I was expecting then. It also made me realise how much I've missed Fourze :( EDIT: TAAAAAJADOOOOL CHARGE! |
Someone link the YouTube Raw, I don't have the time to go searching it down unfortunately.

Pretty rad! It kinda went slack in the middle (which made the fights at the end a bit jumbled), and I wish there'd been more of the scenes with the Riders and the Super Sentais combining powers to fight the bad guys, but on the whole I was satisfied.
And Tsukasa combed his hair at the end! Who said Decade doesn't get a happy ending? |
Who was the silver robot bad guy from the zangayck? What show was he from ?

has this film left it to a stand alone decade movie due to narutaki still around and kaito took tsukasa henshin card
|
I gave a little squee at the Maskman & Kamen Rider Black combo, especialy when KR Black yells out: Don't do this, Nobihiko! And Shadowmoon saying something with the words: Black Sun! :D You know, KR Black is my top Showa Era Rider! ;)

I know that he has nothing to do with that episode, but it's all I can ever think of when someone says Bioman :p |
My favorite scene was Urataros hitting on Geki Yellow and Momo getting pissed off about it ... Classic imagins
|
Watched the raw and loved it. It did feel rushed by the end, but I expected as much.
The main characters being Kaito, Joe, Doc and Hina was surprising but I ended up liking it. It felt rag-tag and made sense, since Kaito and Joe are close to Decade and Marvelous respectively. The fights had me giggling like a school girl. The first Gokai Red/Decade fight, the combined Rider/Sentai team-ups, the Decade-Ryuuki-Blade Gosei finisher...they were all fantastic. I'm sure once we get subs the story will come off as somewhat convoluted, but I'll gladly watch it again. |
One question. One brought up by HenshinFever!, and I'd really like an answer to.
Gokaigers. Why change into five different OOO's combinations if you're just going to use the GokaiGalleon Buster? |
Because Tajadoru CHARGEEEEEEEEEEEE ! :lol
|
they should have used decade complete jumbo formation. and they had no excuse with diend having a decade card.

Wow, what a disappointment. We just watched my Super Hero Taisen Blu-Ray that arrived yesterday and it was a major let down. There was hardly any Kamen Rider/Sentai action in it, the big baddies of the movie were taken out way too quickly, Joe was completely out of character as he was far too emotional for some reason instead of cool headed like he was in Gokaiger, the OOO forms were pointless, and nobody really did anything with each other. There was no chemistry between the casts at all.
Oh yeah, and they ****ed up the spurs on Shadow Moon for the costume in this movie. They were way too thick, were placed too high, and most of all, they did not even move. |
OT has it subbed now, BTW.
EDIT: Watched it. Was it good? No. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Me, being super critical minded and well versed in my disdain for Gokai and Decade, I'm not going to bother with any sort of full review, so I'm gonna keep it short. First off, the name is a lie. The only Riders with any sort of prominence are OOO, Fourze, and Decade (The opening with the Legendary 7 hardly counts as prominent appearance), and the only Sentai are Gokaiger and Gobuster (Only towards the end). Marvelous and Decade's war wears thin when, outside of group shots, the only time we get to see Riders/Sentai in action are when it's Marvelous or Decade doing so (That or they get killed off like chumps. I saw you Kabuto, just staggering around until you got absorbed into the purple dimension). As for the character themselves, it's not actually a betrayal. Joe's emotions controlling him isn't out of character. His actions regarding Cid/Barizog were quite similar, and Marvelous is essentially filling in that role again. His best friend, mentor, and ally being turned against him. Kaito's actions at the end were freaking retarded, but I guess when Decade was his only friend, he was just trying to show what it's like to be hurt. Hina was just Natsumi ver.2, and Don was there too. The action itself was decent, but this movie made it painfully obvious when the losing character was going to get hit (You know, when they spread their arms out wide and just stare at Decade/Gokai Red until they get slashed and sent to the Ooze). The climax (Or rather, the first one, with everyone showing up) was great, and seeing a rainbow of an army charge was awesome in the Legend War and it was awesome here. Speaking of, that climax was great. I DESPERATELY wish we got to see more Rider/Sentai interactions. Seeing Urataros try to seduce Geki Yellow made me guffaw with laughter, and watching Hibiki and the Magirangers take out a group of enemies was just awesome. The OOO Gokai Change was wasted and pointless, and Gosei giving Decade, Blade, and Ryuki their cards was brilliant (I loved that part). The actual Climax (Involving the Big Machine vs. Go-Buster Oh and Fourze) was decent, and the ending with Gai's spastics was fun. Overall, it's a fun film that takes itself too seriously, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun while watching it. (Also, Long was totally in this film. Despite the fact that he's not dead...And out of risk of spoilers, I'm not saying who Long is and which series he's from) |
Alright just finished watching Overtime's subs.
It wasn't a bad movie….but man is it…boring. The whole thing kinda feels like a rehash of All Riders and 199 Heroes, that said there were a lot of cool fight scenes too. I liked pretty much all of the Decade VS Gokai Red fights. A few things that stood out about this movie that really bugged me: 1: Fourze and Gobuster parts almost feel pointless, why waste time introducing them if they aren't going to play any major key roles? That whole beginning part felt like a waste of time…and it was pretty much the exact same scenes anyways. 2: Joe was painfully out of character throughout the whole thing…he's suppose to be the cool guy for cryin out loud, but he acted like a damned pansy. 3: The sound mixing in this film SUCKED, I could hardly hear the background music through the rest of the noise. 4: Where was Natsuki and Navi during all this? Did the writers forget they exist or something? 5: Diend's betrayal…that seemed to come out of nowhere …also doesn't really seem like the thing Kaitou would do, so…I dunno what to make of it. |
Just finished it, and it was what I expected. Not sure if it has any rewatch value, but for the most part I enjoyed it, I only had one major problem which was Diend's betrayal. I would have also have liked to see a Kabuto/Boukenger team up during the big fight. Also, I feel like an idiot for not noticing that Doctor G was Narutaki until about an hour into the movie.

2. I was fine with Joe actually, he just lost his closest friends and he probably takes that pretty hard given his relationship with Sid in Gokaiger. 4. I have a feeling Hina's role was originally for Natsuki but they weren't able to get her actress. Good point about Navi though, she should have been there. 5. I was fine with him creating and taking the Big Machine, he is a treasure hunter after all. My problem was with his heel turn and suddenly deciding to attack everyone. He should have just taken his prize and been off. |
Before I take the time to find this thing.. Exactly how much are the Goseigers in it?
