UPDATE: First Image of S.H. MonsterArts Biollante!
1 Attachment(s)
UPDATE: Fresh off the presses from Tamashii Nation 2012! We have our very first, but certainly not our last, image of the upcoming S.H. MonsterArts Biollante! Please also note the bits of Godzilla cut from the right edge of the photo... suggesting that Biollante isn't the only titular star of Godzilla vs. Biollante to come from Bandai!
PREVIOUSLY: As many fellow TokuNation.com members and fans have noticed, the very first reveals of this year's annual Tamashii Nation event have begun to trickle through. Not to be left out, our friends at Bluefin have been joining in the fun, all but confirming mere moments before an image was revealed that Sailor Moon would finally receive some much-needed attention! However, Bluefin was also gracious enough to toss their tokusatsu fans a bone with a couple of cryptic but very revealing tweets from their official Twitter account that something else was coming. And she might be hungry... Know what "she" is? Totally befuddled? Don't worry, someone is sure to explain in our discussion! Expect more hints and, better yet, pictures from Tamashii Nation's 5th Anniversary event in the coming hours and weekend, and we'll have them all for you here at TokuNation.com! Clearly Biollante.
|
I thought it's Blue Rose from Tiger & Bunny
|
Hmm it could be, but that wouldn't be worth them teasing would it? They've already shown Blue Rose. Biollante is a genetically modified monster rose, crossed with Godzilla DNA. And female.

You only have to worry about one of these roses eating you. |
... I'm so confused. Wtf are they talking about?
|
I told you guys it was going to happen.
For those of you who don't remember, I made a thread about Sailor Moon Figuarts months ago. |

This thing is going to cost a fortune. Note the Godzilla arm in the foreground. |
After the initial surprise of finally seeing the thing, that's just what I noticed too! Bio-Goji!
|
... And I thought people wanting Ishatar were insane :eyebrow
|
Haha I think I'm drawing the line with SH Monsterarts. I don't need a giant plant monster that takes up an entire shelf and costs $150+.
(unless they make an Audrey II) |
Just as epic as I was expecting her to be :D
|
Now make Jaeger please.
|
I had a feeling there was going to be a Bio-Goji that would go along with Biollante. Great news to wake up to!
|
Wow, Biollante gets the SH MonsterArts treatment....sweet! But man its going to hurt our wallets on this one.
|
That...
is... going... to... be... my... first... Monsterart... |
Holy crap that is awesome. I knew she would be huge, but dayuuuuuuuum. Biolante is a big girl :lol. Also cool to see they are doing the Goji suit from that movie. I'm sure people will complaing about "Another Godzilla..." , but I think this is a good thing. Bandai simply could have just used the original Goji for EVERY Godzilla. But no. They made a new body for Burning, and now we have the Bio-Goji. That means if you like a particular suit of Godzilla from a certain movies, chances are it will eventually get made.

Jesus Christ. I feel sorry for the people that want to buy that. Packaging and shipping costs alone would be enough to bankrupt you.
