EDIT: Looking through the raw, Haruto has a Naruto moment and talks to Wizardragon.

Flame Dragon looks a lot better in action than the still pics made it look.

Just watched the raw and I'm still not sure how I feel about flame dragon's look. Not the color of his cape or anything, but the material it's made out of. I know it's a nitpick, but all I can see is a shiny raincoat. Land Dragon is going to make him look like the girl off the Morton Salt cans...

Anyways, still curious as to what the WizarDragon had to say. Anxious to watched the subbed.

The subs are out and it was a really good episode. The dragon sounds freaking awesome and I love that he grins.


PS Wizard does not air next week. Next episode is 11/11.

I love the Dragon. Such an evil know it all :lol That was a good episode. I didn't think Phoenix would go out that easily either. Good to see that he survived.

More than just survived, he looks unscratched. And I still don't like the color.

Some thoughts

- When Phoenix jumps on the plamo kit it almost was more painful to watch than when he was killing the kid's parents in that dream sequence.

- Speaking of which that spoilered scene, wow pretty dark for what's meant to be a kid's show!

- Whenever I see Rinko my first impression is that she's dressed oddly, but then I realize it's just that she's the only person not wearing an extremely colorful/ridiculous outfit.

- Did anyone compare the sound of Wiseman's voice against the White Wizard's? I don't keep the episodes on my hard drive after I watch them a couple of times.

- Flame....DRAGON was even better than I expected. I liked the implied built-in limitation.

- It occurred to me that with all the Dragon forms, you can basically create your own all-male Super Sentai Wizard team. Hopefully his final form is black!

- I wonder if a Kamen Rider whose human form was a little kid would be popular. Like a Kamen Rider Shazam!

I've seen worse in Kamen Rider. Example: Kuuga had decapitation and it wasn't a dream.

It's been done, but only in Decade and only for a short time.

As this is the first KR title I'm following on a regular basis, is ep. 9 the earliest that a Rider uses a power-up in a series? I had gotten used to seeing Super Sentai getting power-ups in at least the mid-20s.

That was good, I like how he couldn't use the ring right away and had the talk to WizarDragon, which was pretty awesome in itself that the dragon has a personality. Haruto also showed some great emotion in this episode, and the dream he had I actually thought was real

I actually really liked that the dragon approachaed Haruto while looking just like him. It really shows that these Phantoms aren't just monsters that kill you and take your skin. They are a part of these people. The Dragon IS Haruto as much as Haruto himself is. And this has kind of an awesome Naruto feel to it. Giant evil monster that lives in the body of the hero. And said hero can tap into evil mosnters power but at a cost.

Good episode, Flame Dragon Style, Water will look better, blah blah blah. Am I the only one who thought WizarDragon and the White Wizard had the exact same voice?

This episode was further proof that dragons make everything better.

So weren't some people weirded out by how early the Dragon forms were coming? Because this episode has the feel of the episode in the 30-38 range of a series where Riders get their final toy. I'm honestly kind of worried Wizard will stop being able to top itself at some point, because this was straight-up epic.

This is probably my favourite episode of wizard so far.

I'm not sure. The revelation of Dragon and etc felt timed relatively well alongside Haruto's initial backstory.

What I AM afraid of, though, is that there will be other forms. Flame Dragon form would be undermined by other forms...

I'm expecting to see a Final Form around ep. 30 or so that has the Dragon side take control and send Wizard into a berzerker rage.

I did wonder about that last week, but other denizens of the board told me that since OOO and Fourze, alternate forms got rolled out a lot earlier.

I had no way of knowing that, as I'd only recently finished W and Extreme doesn't roll out there until about episode 30. I guess they space them out sooner to keep interest in the show.

I loved this episode. Haruto showed a lot of feeling, and every actor did an amazing job. Wizardragon showing up as Haruto shows how twisted these phantoms are while still remaining a part of their humans. Overall there were a LOT of great things in this episode, definitely my favorite yet!

Oh, I wasn't complaining about the timing or anything, like I said, the episode was sweet, and Flame Dragon'll be pretty buried by the end of the show, I'm sure.

The thing that makes this different from, say, Elek States, is that Wizard already had 4 forms, and how "big" an occasion it is. I can't really describe it, but hopefully someone else who's watched 9 Kamen Rider shows in full knows what I'm talking about.

Well, for those two cases, it was more on what accessory they acquired-

-Episode 6- Due to Eiji being able to gather the Kuwagata and Kamakiri Medals from Uva in their last fight, he was able to access GataKiriBa
-Episode 9- Due to Kougami giving Eiji the Lion Core Medal, he was able to access RaToraTah
-Episode 12- This episode was easy for Eiji, stand up, punch Gamel, and take the Sai, Gorilla, and Zou Medals all at once. Enter- SaGoZo.
-Episode 20 (Midseason Upgrade)- Eiji's given Kujaku by Ankh and Condor by Kougami, giving him access to TaJaDor.
-Episode 24- Thanks to having the Unagi Core and gaining back the Tako Core from Uva (who kept it with him), Eiji only needed the Shachi Medal, which he got from Kazari. Access to ShaUTa.
-Episode 32 (Final Form Debut)- Medals fly into Eiji. Access to PuToTyra

Fourze
-Episode 6 (again lol)- Gentaro had already obtained Switch #10- Elek, but didn't get to use it's full power until then. Access to Elek States
-Episode 9 (Again lol)- Gentaro decides to use Switch #20- Fire. Access to Fire States.
-Episode 20 (Midseason Upgrade, again (see a pattern?))- Having obtained Switch #30 and #31 (N Magnet and S Magnet, respectively), Gentaro is able to use them together when they are properly integrated into the NS MagPhone. Access to Magnet States.
-Episode 32 (FINAL FORM KITA!!!!)- Gentaro is revived by the power of Friendship and the Cosmic Switch. Access to Cosmic States.

It's been a pattern between them getting their respective powers. Midseason Upgrade means like a new form that is significantly more powerful than the ones he already obtained (TaJaDor has the TaJaSpinner, Magnet States has the NS Magnet Cannons) but every expected Flame Dragon to be the Midseason Upgrade for Wizard. Guess that means there will be more forms than originally anticipated.

This episode reminds me of Bleach. With Ichigo talking to his hollow self and using its power.

And another thing that NSA chief that will be appearing next episode isn't it Long from Gekiranger? When I first saw him I thought he looked familiar but couldn't place where I saw him before. I guess the hair color threw me off.

Well remember, a phoenix is a mythical creature that is constantly reborn from its own ashes. Phoenix was destroyed by Flame Dragon Style. So when we see him in the end looking completely fine, that means he was pretty much reborn.

So in a way, while he can be defeated, he's still somewhat immortal in a way.

I feel like an idiot for not putting that together. When he came back at the end I was like, what the heck!? But, yeah, that totally makes sense.

I know man. I just facepalmed too :lol

This was another terrific episode. So far the show has only had one average episode while the rest have been fantastic. It is already better than Fourze but still no where near as good as W.

Im gonna fry for saying this but i prefer wizard over W.

I think it's to early to rate Wizard againist other shows. Unless you mean just the first 9 episodes of W, in which case I agree that Wizard is better. W didn't really get great for another few episodes.

Well that and I'm just not a big fan of W. I saw it, found it to be overrated.

And here I thought I was the only one who felt that way.
