Hey! Have you heard the hot rumors about Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger the Movie: Treasure of the Maid Empire? Well that's all they are! Rumors of an Akibaranger feature film were actually fabricated by the shows production staff! It was an elaborate gag that began as a joke on twitter and played out quietly at Tamashii Nations 2012. They even went so far as to produce fake movie posters, tickets, and an Akiba Red giveaway mini figure!

However, don't let this get you down as the rumor mill has begun churning again across the web. A certain reliable poster on 2chan is letting it leak that Toei is secretly filming an Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger Season 2! Think this could be too good to be true? Well this individual has leaked very reliable rumors in the past relating to Kamen Rider Fourze and the Eternal V Cinema. There's a chance my delusional brothers and sisters that this is happening! A chance for more of the fan favorite, critically and commercially successful, series to return! Stayed tuned for more info as it becomes available.

It's a shame that the movie isn't real. But it's totally trollific that the production staff made fake movie promotional material. Let's hope Season 2 is real.

Just saw this over on Jefusions facebook page. It's from the Akibaranger Episode 14 Stage Show DVD. A sub-group better get a hold of that DVD, I need to know where this awesome comes from

I think Overtime expressed plans for it, but that was months ago so who knows. I really want to see it now though!

Because it's just not funny. It tries way to damn hard to be goofy and falls flat on it's unofficial face. They're one step away from fighting the MotW with Benny Hill music in the backround. One half of one episode was enough to show me this sucks and needs to die a slow death.

I've never been so happy something ended in my life than when I heard Akibaranger was over.

How about you actually watch a few episodes before you write it off? I might not like goseiger but i don't want it to die. Akibaranger was an utter blast for me and i'm estatic for it to possibly continue.

There is no way for Bandai to put that much effort in promoting Akibarangers for it to just last one season, bring on more! My body is ready!!

All your hate is based on half an episode? We at least watched the entire season of Goseiger to say that it's not the best series... As for slow death? I agree, give us maybe 10 more seasons, that way Sentai can also suffer :D

Judging any series by half of one episode is just ridiculous. Watch the first 3 episodes at the very least. If you still don't like it, then it's fine.

They need at least six months.

Seriously man watch more of the show before you judge it. It took me about the first 10 episodes of Goseiger before I felt like I wasnt bored. And in the end I really loved that show. Aiba is only 13 long!

I like Community, and I love the Soup. Both because of Joel.

But ... No. That just is not going to happen.

Season 2?

Don't be trolling, Toei. I want a season 2 to Akibaranger, and to deny this would make me very sad.

I suddenly see the offices of Toei. And behind a large desk, in a large office, sitting in a large chair... Tendou. With Kagami beside him failing wildly "But the fandom'll believe it!" "Yes, I know. Would you like some Tofu?"

Your first impression was the right one. While it does get a little better and a has a few moments (some of which are ruined by the rest of the episode), it's overall an unfunny waste of time with very unlikable characters. The last part is what really does this show in for me.

PS For the record, I've watched all of Akibaranger and was thrilled to see it end.

Whatever happened to their radio show? Is it still airing? Somebody subbed the first 2 episodes but stopped after that.

This blows my mind. The ending was absolutely fantastic. Finding out that they are TV characters and the producer has been controlling theire lives? It's just incredibly imaginative, not to mention the show is actually laugh out loud funny and enjoyable. Not just the ending either but the whole show was just so enjoyable and fun. Ridiculous enemies, Giant-ish robots and all.
TVNihon subbed the first 2 radio shows but after that I don't know. Masato Wada said when he started it that he didn't know how long the show would last. It could have ended already :(

There were definitely more than two, the third one was where the Tomokazu Seki saying "Akibaranger" in the mobirates voice came from. Looks like there was a fourth too, but since TV-Nihon said they weren't interested in subbing it any more I lost track.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that episode. Jefusion ran an article about it and I awaited the TVN subs and they never came. Hope someone else picks it up. I need something to keep me going until episode 14 eventually gets done.

That's sad:(. I was looking forward to Honoka guesting in the show.
