Power Rangers Megaforce Toy Listings
 

Online retailer ToyWiz has put up a series of listings for Megaforce toys!

No photos have been uploaded yet but these listings provide several details regarding the Megaforce equipment and weapons:

*Rangers will use the Gosei Morpher and Gosei Buckle while their robotic follower utilizes the Robo Morpher.
*The Megaforce teams weapons are Dragon Sword, Phoenix Shot, Snake Axe, Tiger Claw and Shark Bowgun.
*Additional Zord Vehicles are listed as Land Brother, Sea Brother and Sky Brother

All items currently have a January release date but of course all details are subject to change.

So I guess Roboknight really is a Stag Buster type of character.

I wonder if the additional Zord vehicles are placeholder names. Otherwise it seems like a pretty direct copy of the Goseiger names.

Real close to Goseiger on the names, wonder if that'll be a standard for now on.

This makes me so idioticaly happy. I'm loving they kept the names almost like Goseiger, enough to keep fans happy while changing it just enough for american audiances. Yes and thank you.

Funny thing with Goseiger: there's not enough fans to make it worth keeping them happy. :p

I love goseiger but I'm not going to love the terribly thrown together US adaptation :lol

And there is no way on Earth you could make me buy the horrible BOA versions of the toys. I will happily stick to my japanese Gosei Great, Ground, and Headers :D

I like the BoA versions. Besides, not all of us can afford the BoJ versions.

Actually, yeah you can. Have you seen prices recently? I got the pair of Great and Ground for $100 and all of the headers were $30 in one big lot on Mandarake. The prices for Gosieger deluxes have been steadily falling for about a year now. They're already down to what the US pricing will be at this point.

I can already tell this show is going to be better the PR:S because its doing something different by making Gosei Knight a Robot instead of an angel. Hasn't it been proven by Toku adaptations that the more different they are from their Japanese counterparts, the more likely they will be good? (Except for Masked Rider, that show is an exception to everything because of how bad it is.)

Gosei Knight wasn't an angel in Goseiger either.....

He was a Headder with power bestowed upon him by the Earth to become a warrior. A machine that could henshin technically. So Gosei Knight actually was a robot. This show (just like Samurai to Shinkenger) is an almost direct lift off of Goseiger.

The only thing I'm really interested in is the Gosei morpher, and that depends on how compatible it is with the card game.

Names all sound decent enough though.

Sorry about my last post, Power. Came out why harsher than I meant it. But yea. Like Den said Gosei Knight was a Headder, and had no human counterpart like the other Sentai. And it's kind of a mixed bag. We have amazing seasons like Mystic Force.. but then we have Operation Overdrive. Let's hope Megaforce is more Mystic and less Over.

Oh god please don't bring up Overdrive. It's a complete discgrace to the source material.

We don't know how close the show is to the source material yet. The names may be unoriginal but the rest of the show might not be. At least, that's what I keep hoping for.

Since I'm probably going to get into the card game, I might pick up the morpher too. Really depends on whether or not it's interaction with the cards is worth whatever it'll cost. I'm liking the Robo Knight character, so I might get his morpher too...maybe.

These would be the "cycle w/figure" assortment.

I love they did that. I do. I love they made the headder brothers into motorcycles too. Adds a level of playability.

Did they really have to keep the name Brothers in the Land Sea and Sky headers set? I found that kinda stupid. Also, what time should PR SS stuff be going on clearance?

When the Samurai toyline was upcoming, Toy Wiz was one of the first places to list preorders for the toys, but any name that wasn't referencing the Rangers themselves was actually taken directly from Shinkenger. I recall the listing for the Gedoshu in particular rather than "Mooger".

It sounds like the "Brother" Header sets are following the same pattern. I wouldn't expect those names to remain.

I really wish they'd have kept thinking. Mooger.. Oh god help me please don't let that name Loogie be true!

Anyway. You might be right about them not being Brothers.

My local TRU already ran buy 1 get 1 40% off and buy 1 get 1 60% off on all PR Super Samurai stuff. Right after I wasn't looking for anything anymore.

I like the name Moogers, it has a call back to the Puttys in MMPR. Simple name that anyone could recognize they are from Power Rangers without knowing about it.

Seriously, I don't think the name Orgs sticks well with the public.
