Wizard Episode 10: "National Security Agency Section Zero" Discussion
1. Where are they taking Wajima?!
2. The Gargoyle Phantom attacks! 3. Kizaki wants a Wizard ring? (Don't we all? XD) 4. Can Haruto handle it? 5. Discuss! PLEASE! |
Wow. Did Kamen Rider Wizard lose steam?
|
It would be boring if he just used Flame Dragon every ep to win by Kabuto-style "god mode"-ing everyone, but the preview looks like he's going to still use Water and Air. Plus, he used land this episode, albeit briefly.
Looks like they're starting a new arc with this National Security guy and teasing that Wajima might make a new ring. Still wonder how they'll use it without another belt . . . |

EDIT: I just watched it. Really good episode! Some thoughts: - Phoenix's resurrection scene was spooky! Speaking of which: - The episode felt a bit more stylish than normal(the Gnome two-parter was as well), but the staging of the dramatic(talking) scenes was off. They seem to be a bit of an afterthought in this series. - The ring Kizaki wants made, that's for Beast right? So he should be showing up in a few more episodes, after the next movie comes out. Or is it for Hurricane Dragon? - I enjoy this show much more when the plot moves forward. Every revelation makes the premise more interesting, which is why it's a bit of a bummer when it's a straight MOW two parter like they've done too often already. - Rinko is the least assertive police officer in history. How'd she ever earn her pant-suit?! - I thought the Donut Duo would be up to some hijinks in the background in that one scene, but they just seemed to be over-elaborately giving a girl her donut. - Didn't we hear last episode that Haruto shouldn't use Flame Dragon too much? He slapped that ring on pretty quickly against Gargoyle! |
I think that the Ring that Kizaki is having Wajima make is the Beast Ring, and they already have the Beast Belt ready, and Kizaki will become Beast. Or maybe it's just for Hurricane Dragon, but I have no idea why Kizaki of all people would want that made.

Great episode.
-Glad to see them get back to the police plot. -Kizaki seems to be this show's Hojo! I love characters like this because they are meant to be hated. How I hope this guy sticks around for awhile. He only needs to become a Rider for one episode and then run away while pissing in his pants and the reincarnation Hojo will be complete. -Gargoyle is all kinds of awesome. Him turning to stone was a fun visual. -I like the Haruto activately hunts Phantoms. They've touched upon it before, but it's still nice to see. -Seems Dragon mode enables Wizard to use spells on his sword/gun that he couldn't before. Could be wrong. Eitherway, big sword is big. -I like that we got a flashback to see Phoenix rise from literal ashes. -This episode had very little Shunpei and that's a good thing. :D |
I've only seen it raw so when I saw a green magic stone I thought Hurricane Dragon Ring. I need to see the sub before commenting any more on this episode.

I think that if Haruto keeps using Flame Dragon, it would allow the phantom in him to gather strength and be able to fight to control Haruto.
Kizaki kinda looks like Hiro Nakamura of Heroes. |
That was a good episode. I knew Phoenix would come back, I'm wondering if there's a hitch with his ability to revive himself though. Haruto seems to be a bit cocky based on his recent victory, I can see that coming back to bite him in the ass later.

Good episode, Haruto seems pretty confident in his ability to use the dragon powers without losing it so I wonder if that'll come back to bite him in the ass sooner than I thought it would. Probably around the time All Dragon style debuts I guess.

A pretty decent episode. I also assume the ring Kizaki wants made is the beast ring. Potentially he could become Beast? Probably not though. We always seem to get new characters as the secondaries now :(
|
Looking at Beast's ring design I'm thinking it's not for him, and it is Hurricane Dragon's stone. The Beast ring is mostly gold with just the green eyes breaking that up - the stone in this episode is far too large. They'd be wasting like 99% of it. And looking back at those recent magazine scans Hurricane Dragon is next up as far as Dragon modes.
I figure Kizaki will get over his antagonism to Wizard, or try and fail to use the ring, and hand it over. It doesn't seem like they know what the stones do until the ring is made, so I don't Kizaki is intentionally trying to get the Hurricane Dragon ring made. |

I actually doubt that its hurricane. And the size doesn't matter at all. Remember the Flame Dragon stone that the white wizard had dropped off? That thing was massive compared the ring made from it. I don't think size plays into this. And yeah they may not know what the stones do before they're set but I doubt that they'd be the ones in possession of the of the dragon stones. It appears the white wizard would be the one who has those. I could have it entirely backwards though :lol

And I do think the size of the stone matters - those Wizard element mode rings have HUGE stones. Yeah the Flame Dragon stone made a ring relatively smaller, but this huge green stone would literally almost entirely be wasted to make the two small gems on Beast's ring. It just doesn't make sense. I think Beast will show up having been Beast for a while. He's showing up with too many gimmicks/modes already in play. If he were being created in the show's storyline they'd draw those out more imo. EDIT: BTW I'm totally convinced White Wizard is Wiseman at this point. Him showing up in episode 9 sealed the deal for me. Dramatically, having two mystery characters at the same time doesn't make sense, unless they're the same person. If they reveal that they're two different new people, that's not interesting at all, because that's what they've been suggesting all along. It'd be playing the same trick twice after telling the audience you're going to do it. The only way that gets resolved in an interesting way as two separate characters is if one or both are people from the supporting cast. And the cast is a bit thin for that to happen. |
Glad they picked up the Section Zero thing again--I'd nearly forgotten about it.
Pretty good episode, even if it was pretty much 80% setup. Gargoyle is a pretty awesome Phantom and it should be awesome to see what happens next week. |
It sucks when your main character is the least interesting in the whole room (Guess this is how Kabuto haters must feel, eh? :lol)
I'm actually more interested and invested in Naoki and Kizaki's whole situation... |

I read all these comparisons between Kizaki and Hojo of Agito, well I'm watching Agito now, I'm on episode 12 and well Kizaki is nowhere near as horrible as Hojo. Hojo's seems like a pure jerk while Kizaki, I think, experienced fighting a phantom and losing his mentor and he wants to protect the kid from them as much as possible.
