This is it.

After deciding to defeat the Zangyack without using the supreme powers of the Greatest Treasure in the Universe, and thus destroying the treasure to prevent temptation, the Gokaiger are facing off against the entire Zangyack Empire on their own in a climatic battle in this, the final episode of Gokaiger.

It's been an amazing ride and we're sure to get one more episode full of excitement and nostalgic nods to the past. Reflect on this episode here, and look for the final thoughts thread on Gokaiger to pop up after subbed versions of this episode are available.

Just watched the RAW.

I may not have fully understood what they were saying through my ears... But I felt it. I felt it!

Seriously though, awesome episode. It seemed kind of short, but maybe it's just that old saying "Time flies when you're having fun"?

I just watched the RAW as well. It was absolutely amazing. I have zero complaints. I can't wait to watch it again when it's subbed. It only felt short due to the extremely fast pace. It's technically longer since there was neither an opening nor an ending. It was quite different than the ending of previous Sentai. Most definitely a great proper ending for the 35th anniversary series.

With that said. I can't wait until the next one. Busters, Ready GO!

Gokaiger was my very first super sentai i've ever watched, and man was it an enjoyable ride. I loved every minute of it and it makes me sad to see it go, through it i've made so many new friends :)

Farewell Gokaiger, Thank you for everything. You will always be my favorite.

I watched the first episode raw, so I thought it'd be only fitting if I did the same for the finale. And all I have to say is....wow.

I'm really going to miss this series. As my first Super Sentai show, its been amazing to watch it week by week and it's changed my personal fandoms so much in the last year. It was a fantastic finale to an utterly fantastic series. I can't wait to see it subbed.

So many good Gokai changes, but the best? Dat super mode change at the very end. I grinned like a loon at that.

I can only echo everyone's sentiments. This was my 1st Super Sentai as well. I loved every minute of it! I'm sure Go-Buster will be great but I think after the SUB of this comes out I'll take a break and finish watching all the seasons of PR i haven't completed.

Fair well Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger! You were incredible and will be surely missed!

That final battle was like the finale of a fireworks show.
Gokai Change after Gokai Change, each one being more fanwaky then the next.

I loved this episode to bits. It was beautiful.
Gokaiger literally could not have ended any better.

Overtime has put up the sub, I'm gonna get some tissues (FOR TEARS!) and then watch the final episode :(

And so it comes to an end. And as always, the Gokaigers made a show of it. I know we still have a few movies left but this is a very satisfying end. I'll miss this show.

Man, that was a bittersweet ending. It was great, but I'm really bummed that it's over now (aside from the movies). I'm going to miss these characters and this show. I hope Gobusters can be even half as entertaining, but I've had a hard time getting into other Sentais so I'm not sure if I'll really be sticking with the franchise after this. :(

That was like.. The best ending to a sentai... in years.. And yeah if you get emotional with sentai, like I do, you'll need a hankie. The final battle was just all kinds of epic. I won't spoil, but that last thing you see at the end of the credits with a certain Red... That was SOOOOOOOOO cool.

Making up your mind about other shows before you even watch them is exactly the WRONG thing to do. You don't go into something expecting not to like it. Just watch stuff, see how it goes, and if you like it keep watching and vice versa.

That was awesome. The climax was so amazing that I can't properly speak about it.
The beginning though. That was so disappointing I was almost ready to pause it and put it off for later.

The ending overall, though. That was great. Somewhat bittersweet, but at the same time, very optimistic.

The fighting in this episode though. My god the fights. SO AMAZING.

I couldn't help but tear up a bit, I love how that they've never forgot who they are, Space Pirates, and just when I thought they didn't have enough time for all the cameos, they did it just right! And the final hand off? Again, never lost the feeling of who Marvelous is. I'm so sad that this is over :cry Gokaiger's next adventure, would they be the first sentai to receive a sequel? I sure hope so!

Also, I loved the 'Passing the torch' scene.

Hey, if Kamen Rider Black could get a sequel in Kamen Rider Black RX, who's to say Gokaiger can't have a sequel?

Hasn't happened yet though right? in Sentai history at least

I intend to, especially after having learned that lesson with Transformers Prime. I was able to do it with OOO and Fourze, but Sentai is still pretty new to me. I do like the looks of the designs, though, and Kobayashi is a solid writer. It should be pretty cool.


I can see Gokaiger going more of the Den-O route: 1-3 new movies per year. It's already gotten a record number of films (I think).

Sun Vulcan was kind of a follow up to Denjiman, but no, there hasn't been a true sequel.

Man this blows, I download Over Time's final episode since I do not want to wait to see the end and I have no idea how to play the file Five out of five machines will not play it, and one of the BD players I am trying to play them on is supposed to play all MKV files.

This will go down in history as one of the greatest tokusatsu endings ever produced.

And for those having difficulty watching Over-Time's fansub, download CCCP. This will enable your computer to play it properly through Windows Media Player.

Or get MPlayerX if you have a Mac, it works beautifully on that.

Gokaiger is now among my Top 5 favorite Sentai series.

I could not possibly have been more pleased by that ending :) I was all smiles and squealing in joy the whole time. That Gokai Change marathon they did in the final battle was BRILLIANT. And it's about time Gai got to be the star of the show. Special Charge baby!

I'm going to miss this show so much. In the meantime, here's 35 things awesome about the final episode of Gokaiger (mostly in order of how they happened with my 2 favorite bits to end it):

[SPOILERS from here on]

1. Marvelous slash the Gokaiger logo.
2. Title: “See You Space Pirate” pleases the Cowboy Bebop fan in me.
3. Gokai Shooting Star does damage. That’s a first.
4. Navi grave robs Basco’s ship and makes a show of it!
5. When in doubt, RAM IT!
6. Marvelous throws the Bird.
7. Ackdos holding his ground in a chair while fighting hand-to-hand.
8. Let’s find out if this ship can take out an armada. IT CAN.
9. Good use of Extra Rangers including some nice combos.
10. Doc is literally a tool.
11. Demorphed Rising Strike.
12. “We’re not aiming at you!”
13. Gai stabs Ackdos with his trident so Ackdos is left on the exploding ship.
14. Another new version of Final Wave. This attack never gets old.
15. Who the hell do you think we are?! moment where the Gokaigers make Ackdos realize he’s screwed.
16. Gai’s magic finger drives the message home.
17. Helmetless Role Call.
18. “One last time. Let’s give him a showstopper!”
19. Ranger showcase. At least 1 ranger from every Sentai is used in the combo.
20. Tomokazu Seki completes the showcase with the name call outs for every team.
21. Theme matching. Within the 35 combo they match up many team themes such as Turboranger, Carranger, and Go-Onger all speed attacking at once while Goggle Five and Fiveman hold Ackdos with ribbons.
22. SUPER RANGER. The team all go into a super mode of a different team, Gai into Gold Mode.
23. The Final FINAL WAVE complete with the Gokaiger emblem.
24. He’s not dead! Let’s shoot him some more!
25. SHOW-STOPPING WAVE at point blank range no less.
26. Gai, who has the most to lose in this fight, gets to head the final attack
27. Gokai Galleon is fixed. Love that ship.
28. What could be set up for Super Hero Taisen. Both the new goal of the Gokaigers and the fact that all Sentai heroes have their powers back.
29. Gokaigers still don’t like to admit they’re heroes. To the class featured in the first episode and 199 Heroes no less.
30. AkaRed is left wide open to return later. Did anyone really buy his “death” being off screen?
31. The Gokaigers all have good character bits in the credits.
32. Cameos! All the cameos you can eat!
33. Tsuyoshi Kaijo gets the final cameo of the series and ends with morphing in Akaranger.
34. “You can whine about it to your kid when you’re dead.” Marvelous gives the best burn ever.
35. Marvelous finally got his curry!

Truly a great series. I will miss it.

I loved that line.

Also I love the hand off where Marvelous continues to be a bad ass and punches Red Buster, and then Red Buster turns around to bow to Marvelous before getting on his bike, I had tears in my eyes at that point.

Okay. This officially beat RPM for the number 1 spot for me. This was a fantastic series, from beginning to end. I can't even sit through an entire season of PR (except for RPM) and I had never watched Super Sentai before this and it made me a permanent fan.

And yes, the dead line just rocked me. That was awesome.

The hand off was good, the overall feeling was good. I'm so floored and impressed by it.
If Saban does bring it here, it better be damned close to the original material because no one should be robbed of this experience.

I cried watching the raw and then cried even more watching the sub. I'm really gonna miss this show.

YES! I love how they addressed all that bending and folding actually hurts the person, can you imagine Gai turning into Gosei Knight and then turns into a headder?

Omigosh, WHAT AN AWESOME EPISODE.

My friend and I were watching it on a big screen TV that made it that much more awesome. The final overkill of the emperor was as glorious as it could be, with so much nostalgia of every single team in history. It could not be more awesome.

There's no doubt, this is a season to be remembered. I can't get enough of Gokaiger and will eagerly anticipate any of their future appearances.

Gokaiger was by far not my first sentai, nor my first to finish, I've been watching Sentai for a very long time.

I say this not to sound arrogant, or as some sort of "better Fan" but to try to add weight to what I say.

Gokiager was AMAZING, and those calling it the best ending ever are so correct! It took everything Decade failed to do and perfected it. It stayed interesting throughout the whole series, it had SO many guest stars none could complain. And It knew you do not show us ONE hurricanger, those three are an unseperable force of nature!

Hot manly tears do I cry for all this series accomplished. I don't think It topped Jetman, Hurricanger or Gekiranger but it's definetly earned it place towards the top of the mountain.

My only hope moving forward is that Power Ranger is able to capture even 1/10th of this magic. theres so much here for them to work with, and so much room for them to tell thier own stories by just drawing from thier own personal fictions (Can anyone imagine the potential Epicness of receiving the IN SPACE grand powers?)


Farewell Gokaiger, we shall see you again in your next 3 movies.... you served us well.

But for the first time in a VERY long while, I feel that the teams story is complete, that I can accept the next team openly just 1 week later, and I wholeheartedly look forward to GoBusters!

Gaoranger did a nice 25th, Boukanger did an "eh...it was OK" 30th, but they gave us AkaRed. Gokaiger trumped them ALL, and I wish we could jump forward 15 years and watch the 50th anniversary!

Man 50th anniversary! Will most of the legends still be around by then? If I had any kids I would hype it up!
