Super Robot Chogokin Sentai
How big are these things? They are pretty expensive, but I plan on buying some in the future.
i got shinken-oh, it is a fantastic figure, highly recommended, i really want to get everyone they ever make but with the s.h. figuart gokaigers i got to wait
Not very big at all unfortunately. If anything their size is probably what lets them down the most. They are great figures though for sure.

I was IMPRESSED as hell to see that the SRC's have rocker ankles. The poseability is the primary draw, as is the diecast. Hope we see the Zyuranger mecha eventually. |
I have Dekarobo coming on my next AmiAmi box o' stuff, also tracking down GokaiOh now.

Too bad ShinkenOh didn't come with the Gaolion parts for GokaiOh :(
I heavily regret not picking up Shinken-Oh when he went down to $20 on HLJ. If Dekaranger Robo ever gets that low, he is bought as bought can be.
i think my Shinken-oh cost me $25 shipped from ami ami earlier this year, I was so impressed with it i know this is how i want to collect sentai mecha for now on, screw DX and Candy Toys, just keep making them SRC's
Got to snag gokai-oh and Dekaranger Robo when i can, and magiking when he comes out i want a SRC Muteki Shogun NOW |

^yeah once my friend buys my gokaiger DX stuff off me i'll grab them
I've got Gokai-Oh, and I must say, he's a great figure, I also have GaoGaiGar, but he's not exactly Sentai, but a great figure as well, I'll post pics compared to an S.H. Figuart soon.
I'd love to pick up Gokaioh, Dekaranger Robo, and Shinken Gokaoh but they're a little too expensive right now for me to pull the trigger. I'm waiting for them to go on sale like Shinkenoh did.

As for myself, I have Shinkenoh and Gokaioh and they are great. Really looking forward to MagiKing and DaiZyujin. |

Its a fantastic line but coming out when the yen exchange rate is at the lowest point in seven decades is probably hurting sales quite a bit.

The ones out now look cool, but it's going to take something that I really love to get me to spring for one - like Dragon Caesar, Ohranger Robo, or maybe Muteki Shogun.

Turned this into a generic Super Robot Chogokin thread... and to contribute, here's a picture.

These Super Robot Chogokins are really getting better over time. Really adore the newer designs but my wallet will hate me if I fall into this rabbit hole.
There are no photos of Dekaranger Robo in this thread and I feel it is my civic duty to correct this.

Well, I've got the three I set out to get, and I like them.
Considering I don't really care for DekaRanger (what I've seen of it), I like DekaRobo more than I have any business doing, and I think it's the winner. It seems to have the best overall posing. The joints all owrk well together and things don't get in each other's way. I like the gun, but really like the sword, and that he can two hand it if he wants. The little Patstriker is neat, plus he can dual-wield those guns, if he wants tiny tiny pistols. Shinkenoh looks good, but it has so few accessories compared to the other two, plus it's hands are kinda limited. Looks fantastic though, and I dig the sword. The posing is a little awkward at times. Gokaioh look pretty great, but the placement of the hands really limits the poseability, it's just kind of a dumb design. He has the most playability though, two swords, the starburst mode, plus the Patstriker bits from DekaRobo. It's interesting that compared to the other two his arms and legs are backwards, colorwise. I'd really like an add-on set for Gokaioh that has GaoLion, and maybe MagiDragon, though that mode's pretty goofy looking. but really, who cares what I have to say, pics are more interesting anyway. http://ryanlb.com/images/sentai/blog...enoh-src-1.jpg http://ryanlb.com/images/sentai/blog...robo-src-1.jpg http://ryanlb.com/images/sentai/blog...robo-src-2.jpg http://ryanlb.com/images/sentai/blog...deka-src-1.jpg http://ryanlb.com/images/sentai/blog...deka-src-2.jpg http://ryanlb.com/images/sentai/blog...aioh-src-1.jpg http://ryanlb.com/images/sentai/blog...aioh-src-2.jpg |
My Magiking arrived this week. Haven't had time to mess around with it yet(want to rewatch a bit of Magiranger first), but I'm really excited to have it :D.
I still need to order Magiking :( Hopefully it'll still be readily available next time I have some spare cash.
I have watched Magiranger's entire series plus its VS movie with Dekranger, and I really wanted a MagiKing afterward. IMO it is one of the best zord design in Super Sentai, and it really exhibit a sense of majesty with its wings and sword. Unfortunately, to get this toy would cost way too much money, which is something I don't have atm unless I can sell off my TF collection.

Nope, it's still in stock most places.

Just caved an ordered a Magiking, can't wait for it to arrive :D
Oddball question, anyone else interested in SRCs for the Megazords in Go-Busters? It seems like an easy money maker for Bandai to do that, especially since they could be an Army Builder. Maybe we'll see something at the next event or whenever they start churning out Go-Busters stuff in Figuarts.
I'd certainly be interested in megazords, but I'm still waiting for the Ghost GokaiOh that was revealed to get a release date. I'd love to see Dora Talos get an SRC too.
Yeah, I'd go for an SRC GoBusteroh.
I'd rather have SRC Go-Buster Ace, to be honest. He looks better than the full Combo.
I imagine it would be far more posable too, much like how they seem to be doing RyuuseiOh rather than jumping straight to DairenOh.
