You Adapt a Kamen Rider series to the United States
Congratulations!
You've been hired by Saban Brands to adapt a Kamen Rider series over to the United States. Unfortunately for you, they've given you COMPLETE control of the series. You can pick any actors you want, change the story however you want, but at the same time Haim Saban has told you to keep the budget under control and really look at the ability for merchandise tie-ins when picking your series, as the toy sales will help you keep your job for a second season. So here you go! You can adapt ANY Kamen Rider series not already brought over to the United States. But you have to follow these rules: 1) Pick the series 2) Must use at least 60% source footage from TOEI 3) Movies and crossovers are available but cannot bring in characters not already adapted (ie: MovieMax with Fourze wouldn't work because you didn't adapt OOO or W) 4) All Kamen Rider characters must be assigned to an actor/actress 5) Tie it all together in your post as a sales pitch (why you picked the series and the actor, how the merchandise is going to sell well, what you need in terms of original footage, etc.) Ready, set, go! |
Okay, I would adapt Kamen Rider Kabuto as a new Beetle Borgs series. It'd be called "Beetleborgs Zect". The reason being that since the last two KR adaptions have been low in ratings & popularity, calling it Beetleborgs could potentially bring in fans of the original show. I would also try my best to give the show some depth & maturity to keep said fans interested but not go so far as to lose the kiddies.
The plot itself would be similar to Kabuto's, where an insect-like alien race with the ability to shape-shift has infiltrated our society & is secretly trying to overthrow humanity. And the only organisation capable of stopping them is ZECT, with their state of the art "Zecter System". Now, in my version here there wouldn't be anything like the Shibuya meteorite, & the worm definitely wouldn't kill as many people, also ZECT would be a whole lot less shady & more like MIB. I'm not going to go into huge detail about the characters, but I'd keep the Tendou-Kagami relationship mostly the same, where you have the inexperienced rookie being taught in indirect & strange ways throughout the series to follow his own path & do what he thinks is right by a jerkass who happens to be an essential part in defeating the alien threat. As for the other riders, for the most part I'd have them all on the same side, but with some, less-than-perfect personality traits. As for actors, I don't know, whoever does well in casting. And for footage, well since they're largely on the same side I'd cut the stuff with the Riders fighting each other, I'd want to shoot a scene where the 5 main Riders (Kabuto, TheBee, Drake, Sasword & Gatack) are on screen at once, fighting a common enemy (which never happened in Kabuto) & I'd want to shoot an episode with the Movie Riders where it's a future episode where the worm won & they're the resistance. |
Ladies, Gentlemen, Good Morning. As you know we've been given the go-ahead to devolop a new Kamen Rider series for America, given we find common ground on story. Well. I'm here today to give you just that.
His name is Kamen Rider Cell. We've adapted the original source material from Kamen Rider OOO, and changed the story enough to suit an American Audiance in our target demographic. While, much like we have for the MMPR 20th, also keeping our MegaFans in mind. Our story will take place in a fictional story named Red Reef, and revolve around four different main characters. Tyler - The High School Intern at the local Museam who accidently frees the Greed trapt inside, and is charged with stopping them as Kamen Rider Cell. Ankh - The masqurading Greed who's watched over the coffin since it was burried, and later become the scientist 'studying' the Box when it was accidently unearthed. Malcom - Masked Rider Proto-Cell, our version of Birth, and soldier for Cell Corp. The finacial backing behind the research into the box in the first place. Wallace - Masked Rider Proto-Cell Red, our version of Birth Prototype, also a soldier for Cell Corp. And older brother to Tyler's girlfriend Samantha. The source material. Though we don't want to follow the source the material directly, we are keeping some elements alive for the sake of using source footage. One thing are changing are how the Greed produce their soldiers, the Wraps. Instead of putting coins into people they'll just pull the Wraps free from inside of Greedy people. And when it's defeated the people will wake up, and learn a lesson relatable to our audiance. One thing we are taking out completely, as you can tell, is how Ankh gains a body. Instead of a cop dying we're having him already possess a body. Willingly. We are though keeping the Buisness Man benefactor element. Including his catch-phrase "Happy Birthday", and his obsession with baking cakes. And we'll stay to our goals for all of our shows. Teaching Life-Lessons Teamwork While also appealing to both our key demographics. One thing we will do, though, is with our deal with Bandai of America make new toys. They will be similar to our popular Samurai Line. With a Rider-Builder System built into the Cell figures. Where you can mix and match different Cells, to match different combinations. We also have plans for a transformable Cycle Vendor toy, as well as DX SodaBots that help Cell throughout the series. (OOO is either going to love this, or run me over with a Ride Vendor :lol) |
What Sentai said. I think he nailed it better then I could.

hello every body i am here today about the new Show we are going to make from the source material called Mask Rider Space. this season will be set in Angel Grove and be with Angel Grove High School.
my plot New Kid comes to agel groves and keeping to fourze want to befriend every one in school, the principal will be the actor who played Dex in masked rider to keeping the process of an old kamen rider playing now a villain idea. Keiron will be the name of how befriend every one name and he meets karl the bout who makes the space switches and the Space transmorpher the english name for the fourze driver. so hope you understand what i said also we will not full use fourze plot but will bring back the brain was idea from Dino thunder who in are season will be Karls Uncle who wants to take over earth. name of the other chaaracters will be yasmen ower Yuki: she all obbssed in working for Nasada when she leaves school Mai ower miku : in last year and first president of the space club and also Cheer leader as well Sam are Shun: former Amrican Football Player Power Dizer pilot and bodygaurd Tessa: ower Gouth Girl for the season and lover intrest for mask Rider Meteor JJ: ower own JK and Richared Mask Rider Meteor and toys will be be same as jap toys but smaller apart form the Driver and the switchs. hope you enjoyed reading |
I'd bring over Blade. It's a show with a large, but not overly stuffed, roster of Riders that Bandai of America could make crappy action figures out of and the weapons and different belts would make for good roleplay toys. There's maybe even some form of CCG in the card gimmick if someone wanted to exploit that.
As far as the story goes, I would largely keep the same plot and characters from the Japanese version, but probably quicken the pace of the first block of episodes (I'm assuming this would be a ~30 episode series and not 48 anyway). The only major thin I would change is Chalice's gender - I'd make him female in this version so that we could play up the Blade/Chalice relationship as more of a romance, which I think would make the ending work more powerfully for an American audience. |

My fellow users; allow me to tell you all a tale... about the Masked Knights.
Long ago, a great evil came to Earth, seeking to conquer the little world. They were numerous, and led by a ruthless king. For a time, the Earth lived in fear of this new ruler and his army of monsters. But then nine brave warriors, who fought to see their world no longer in fear, stood up to oppose this king. They were Gouram, Tornador, Reddeki, Flastomir, Saberius, Ongek, Zecuto, Deeno, and Arival. A mysterious benefactor granted them with amazing power, giving them armor and weapons that made them the Masked Knights. They battled the king for nine day and nine nights, until, finally, it seemed the king would prevail. That is, until the nine warriors combined their power and destroyed the king. His army disappeared, and peace returned to the world. But not all was well. Though Arival stayed and was made Emperor, his comrades were sent out throughout the universe as a result of there final attack against the king. Throughout the time that passed, the people of Earth forgot about the nine warriors, dismissing them as little more than stories. In the present, young Jane is the granddaughter of a photographer who has a dream about a great war between the nine warriors and an army of Masked Knights and an unseen adversary. Not long after, she is approached by a strange man warning her about the return of the king. The man leaves, and Jane finds herself in a park next to a vagrant with a camera. He asks to take her picture, explaining to her how no matter what he does, all of his photos come out wrong, but she seems different. Before Jane can agree, the two are approached by an elderly Arival, who gives the vagrant a buckle, saying he must use it to save this world and the others. They are then attacked by monsters, with Arival assuming his Knight form, the vagrant fighting alongside him as Camderard. The battle ends with Arival telling the vagrant and Jane that they must find the new warriors, before he fades away. Jane asks for the vagrant's name, but he tells her he does not know. "How about Tracy?" The vagrant agrees, and the two return to Jane's home, her grandfather's photography studio. The grandfather takes Tracy in, just as a backdrop falls, showing a picture of Gouram. They find themselves on a new world much like their own, and are attacked by the new Gouram. Eventually, they realize that the evil from the past is returning, as are the nine warriors. Now joined by the new Gouram, the four travel across the worlds enlisting the help of other the warriors to fight the king's army. In their travels, they clash with Davy Jones, a treasure hunter who not only knows Tracy, but transforms into Difinalle. Eventually, Davy befriends the group, and they soon learn there's more to the legend than meets the eye- there were warriors before the nine who had previously fought the king and failed who are also returning. |

Yeah, mine is an adaptation of Decade. Right now, the idea seems to be written confusingly, but I'm still formulating at the moment.
But if you read the names of the nine warriors closely, you'll find that they do make sense for the Rider. Kuuga=Gouram (from "Kuuga Gouram"). Agito=Tornador (from "Machine Tornador"). Ryuki=Reddeki (Amalgamation of "Dragredder" and "Ryuki"). Faiz=Flastomir (Amalgamation of "Blaster", "Faiz", and "Boromir"). Blade=Saberius (from "saber"). Hibiki=Ongek (from "Ongeki"). Kabuto=Zecuto (amalgamation of "ZECT" and "Kabuto"). Den-O=Deeno (how I originally thought Den-O was pronounced). Kiva=Arival (from "Kiva Arrow"). |
heres a adaption for a rider serise it be like sherlock holme and USB memory sticks to fight poeple who become mosters by evil usb memory sticks.

4 friends decide to start a band. One day, they discover a song in an old pawn shop that had been claimed to be "cursed." Although they felt a bit uneasy, they decided to play it anyway. They accidentally unleash several monsters into the world, and to put a stop to what they cause, they return to the shop and obtain unique musical devices that allow them to become Kamen Riders.
Henry- The drummer of the band, and also the one who decided to make it. He transforms into Kamen Rider Echo, utilizing Drumsticks and eventually the AmpSword. Bre- The singer of the group, Bre used to be a member of the marching band until Henry heard her sing. In battle, she utilizes a trumpet as Kamen Rider Breath. Tommy and Zane- The guitarists of the band. Tommy and Zane are best of friends, and ended up picking the same transformation device. Tommy becomes Kamen Rider Roar, and Zane becomes Kamen Rider Rock. |
Double post, my bad.
