New Superhero Taisen Coming?
 

HenshinJustice are reporting that a reliable source has informed them that a second Superhero Taisen film, entitled "Superhero Taisen Z" will be coming next year. Not only that, but this film is set to include a number of previous Ishinomori heroes such as Kikaider and Inazuman.

Heck yes!!! Haters gonna hate but that first movie was pretty damn fun. And I love the other Ishinimori characters. They were welcome additions to Let's Go Kamen Riders and they'll be welcome here :)

... Can DiEnd not be in this? I love him, love Decade, but how the last one ended.. Yea. How about no DiEnd, or Toei learns to write an ending instead of "Screw it, DiEnd did it".

They could do this every year and I would be ok with it. The first was fun! I don't watch Toku expecting a Nolan movie. Make it as ridiculous as possible

I think the best thing to do would be use less characters. Toei need to learn that big scale doesn't always mean more characters.

I'm okay with this. If there's one thing I'd change. It would be more costumes in the massive battle scene. Though it was cool the first time, the lack of the expanded/extra heroes(like in 199 heroes) and not too many secondary riders sorta bugged me. I want everyone everyone. ALL Sentai and ALL Riders. Story wise, they can use or not use as many characters as they want.

Now, I'm fine with this.
HOWEVER. They need to get their act together. The writing on the first one was atrocious, and having Decade and Gokai Red start shit with their secret plan was freaking stupid.
Hopefully the next one we'll be able to see a fight that doesn't involve one of them...

I'm fine with fights involving them because they're damn fun to watch! But yes those 2 should never be the masterminds :lol

i had no complaints about superhero taisen, kaito better use that decade card he got in the next movie

My problem was that they were involved in every single fight.
It was Decade vs. Sentai and Gokai Red vs. Kamen Rider.
What I wanted to see was Legend War vs. Rider War...

Like I said, the writers need to get it together. The Diend climax was just dumb.

I enjoyed SHT myself.

The sheer badness of Decade/Marvelous' plan was hilarious as it was an incredibly stupid plan to begin with, and more importantly it got pointed out within the movie itself that it was an incredibly stupid plan.

And I'll be honest - I burst out into laughter at the end when Narutaki's involvement other than "same actor" became clear. Narutaki is the best character ever at this point because of the completely batshit insane lengths he'll go to to stop Decade; lengths that defy all logic and reason. (And yet, we still have no idea WHY Narutaki hates Decade so or even who/what the hell he is, which is the capper on the ludicrous insanity I love about him.)

Narutaki is the ultimate villain of Kamen Rider. I'm almost convinced he must be like Decades asshole son from the future or something :lol Maybe one day in some movei they'll tell us why he does what he does.

One of the writers of Decade wrote the first one, right? Let's see if a Sentai writer could make it not as awful. And maybe get Koichi Sakamoto to direct? Pleeeeeeaaaassseeee?

It's revealed that Narutaki is Ishinomori and his hatred towards Decade is because of his disdain of the direction Kamen Rider went.

If there's an entire movie based on Super Sentai taking KR's time slot, I really wouldn't put it past them to do something like that.

If the Net movies are to be trusted, it was written by a Sentai writer (Or director), wasn't it?
Also, god no, please. Sentai is boring and way too episodic. Unless it's Geki's writer, leave the writing to KR writers. I mean, there's a reason why double billed movies always has Sentai getting the 30 minute long shrug off movie. :p

Seriously though, I'll wait to hear who's directing, writers, and starring in this movie first. Until then, I have no intent to watch it.

Or you could just wait and watch just the Kikaider scenes. Would save you the hour and a half from watching and us hearing you bitch about it :lol

Also, I know you don't like Gokaiger, but I would be very happy to see the next film feel a bit more like 199 Heroes or Gokaiger vs. Gavan than what we got in Taisen.

Though, all would be forgiven if we get SUPAIDAMAN!!!

The less focus on the Gokaigers, the better. We have a movie that can literally feature any Super Sentai character, living or dead. But noooooo. You all just want more GOKAI CHANGE. :I

I actually agree with you that there should be less Gokaigers and when they appear, they shouldn't be able to change. I meant more Gokaiger-styled writing and less Decade-styled writing, not necessarily having them be the focus. Taisen's worst offense was that I was bored. Despite the good fights, despite the armies of heroes, I was bored to tears.

Then I'll bitch about how Kikaider was wasted (assuming he's just a cameo). Basically, I'm saying I'm going to bitch eitherway until they either stop making these movies or make a GOOD one. :p

EDIT: And the writer needs to be someone who has written for both Kamen Rider AND Super Sentai. I'll even take Toshiki Inoue for this (though there's much better).

No. Then the main character who connects the franchises would be a ballerina whose death would spur the two franchises to stop the fighting.

Must there be a new one? As long as DiEnd stays far, far, far, far, FAR AWAY then this might be good.

Keep Kaneda and Yonemura away from it and I may get excited about this. When (and let's face it, it's when, not if) they're announced as the director and writer I'm pretty much going to completely stop caring.

That would still be a step in the right direction, which is sad.

I agree with the fact that the Superhero Taisen movie that they need to make some major changes to the writing of the story as I'll admit, my enthusiasm was overwhelming when I saw the sub at first but then, as the film wore on, I was greatly disappointed to how things went and eventually ended. I kinda felt a bit cheated. DiEnd was the bad guy the whole time which didn't bother me since him and Decade have always had a pretty messed up history to begin with but for the whole film to revolve around them was the problem. Not to mention the lack of the Go-busters and Fourze plus Meteor who at the time wasn't even conceived yet. They may as well made this into another Kamen Rider movie since to me they got preferential treatment and the Sentai guys just got screwed over every chance they got.

This one better be a lot better than the first one or I'm gonna really give this up because to me, Toei cares about money and not much else.

Taisen Z should just bring Lord Zedd in as the big bad...and he takes ALL of the mecha and combines them with Daijinryuu (Serpentera), and yes I'm aware that Zedd has no Sentai counterpart.

I'm sorry but I just don't see the need to dial back the Gokaigers. That's the best modern series we've had for years and they have a great gimmick that sells the shit out of toys. Why would Toei not want to use them? The movie HAS to focus on someone at least partially. It can't just be cameo after cameo by 300-400 different characters. That doesn't drive a story. The Goakaigers and even Decade for that matter are best associated with anniversary type team-ups and such. And they know damn well that the Gobusters can't push a movie along as the main focus.

Go-Busters couldn't push along the small peice of the story they had in the last one. But I blame that more on being confused by the story like the rest of us.

And there has to be Decade and Gokai in the next movie. Like Den said they're the prominant Anniversary series', and Decade's story means he needs to be thre to combine the Rider worlds. So that there can even be a movie.

Stop hatin' on Decade and Gokaiger. Without them you ain't got this movie.

i agree i would like them to include gokaiger and decade so that what other side before are able to link the worlds due to it safe to say that sentai world is the shinkengers world. also i would like a decade own movie so that we can see more narutaki involed. also include akibaranger for one thing so that it a subspace and they all ened up fight with rider and sentai.

Give Wizard a new ring to open a portal to Sentai's universe, make use of the Den-Liner to bring the characters across time together.
There's many different ways to write this without using Decade and the Gokaigers as an excuse.
If neither Decade nor the Gokaigers could drive their own series, why would we put a movie in their hands?

I really hope this is a movie with a much smaller scale. Have it be like Decade in Shinkenger World: the current Rider and the current Sentai. I'm getting sick of Decade and the Gokaigers showing up in every other movie. If the Gokaigers appear in one more movie other than Go Busters vs. Gokaiger... ugh.

Yea. Because if it's one series that's unpopular it was Gokaiger. Man, Toei dodged a bullet when that series ended! :eyebrow

I don't give a flying fuck how popular Gokaiger is. It was poorly written, poorly directed, horribly paced with a non-existent story and was just a parade of flashy colors and bright lights.

Just because something was fiscally successful doesn't mean he likes it and wants it in every crossover movie.

Perhaps not but countless other fans DO want it. Those of us who adored Gokaiger were sad to see it go and be replaced by Boring Sentai Blandranger. That show had tons of personality and fun. Characters like that can drive incredible stories when written by competent people.
