Are all series connected?
 

So i originally thought all the series had nothing to do with each other. With the exception of movies which just didn't care about continuity. And ignoring Decade because that was his shtick.

But are the series connected? Are only some series connected? Or all they all separate?

I always considered Kamen to be like Sentai, where every series is a continuation of the last one. Maybe soon they'll be a Gokaiger-like Kamen Rider :o

Decade is the Kamen Rider equivalent to Gokaiger. Apparently the Heisei Riders are all separate series. Only crossing over in specials that ignore continuity. Decade visits dimensions with those Kamen Rider though. Only Showa era riders had actually any continuity connections to each other.

showa series, ichigo-rx are all connected. kuuga-kiva are all seperate. even the movies for ryuki-kiva are not even kanon in their own series. except of den-o. as for decade onward. i think the jury's still out on that.

^Pretty much what he said, though with the exception that Agito is a sequel to Kuuga.

Every sentai is not a continuation of the last one. What gave you that idea? If you mean what you saw in Gokaiger, that was done that way for the Anniversary show. There has only been two instances where two different sentai's were in the same universe series wise. The VS movies are also AU.

I think it's safe to say that W, OOO, and Fourze are broadly in continuity with each other - I'd actually interpret the recent appearances of the older Riders as a strong implication that the various Rider shows are gradually being merged back into one cohesive, if fairly loose, continuity.

What's the other one? I know about Denjiman and Sun Vulcan, but hadn't heard that another pair of shows were connected.

Kuuga-Ryuki are connected Faiz-Kiva are separate. Decade tried to combine the worlds buuuuut yeah, that show gave no answers to anything at the end lol!

I see the Kuuga-Agito connection, but they're connected up to Ryuki? Explain! lol

I have heard that Ryuki is in the same universe as Kuuga and Agito... Might not make complete sense but I think it's a neat concept, but anyway, here's how I see it, all the Showa shows and W, OOO, and Fourze are one universe, Shin, J, and ZO are one Universe, Kuuga, Agito, and possibly Ryuki are one universe, and then the rest are their own universes, specifically for that series.

There's a Hyper Battle Video special where Shinji dreams that he meets Agito. That is the only connection between the two shows.

Wasn't the Den-O/OOO movie's entire plot being how all of Kamen Rider was connected? :p

Yeah trust me that ones so far out of continuity I even question it for Den-O. Nothing about that movie could ever possibly be canon to any other show or universe. No matter how awesome the battles may have been :( In the end that one was just one big long love letter to the spirit of Ishinimori.

Well, Decade and Den-O would be in the same universe, right?

I grew up in Hawaii and my 1st exposure to Kamen Rider and Sentai was V3 and Goranger. I have always enjoyed the transition from one show to another. It starts off as the new hero/heroes pops in and saves the ass of their predecessor. A cross over or two in the new series and the cycle starts all over again.

Fast forward to today. As much as I love the Heisei era, it's mess from Decade going back. For people that know the history,take the Kamen Rider name out of Hibiki and it could stand on it's own as a series. I also agree that OOO, W, and Fourze are connected.

The Den-O movie "Climax Deka" should be the role model to modern Kamen Rider continuity. :D

Just by a cameo in the Final Episode movie (can't remember what version) by the S.A.U.L. team and Shouichi.


In one of the W movies it leads right into OOO. I thing the bad guys are connected somehow, I stopped following it lol!

Im not sure we can trust hyper battle videos as being valid. I mean Decade had a cardboard bazooka in his after all :lol

That, and the fact that this all happened in Shinji's dreams. :p

Just watched the HBV.
My god, how I've missed Shinji and Ren. As characters they were nowhere near as developed as the likes of Shotaro or even Eiji, but they endeared themselves and it's always nice to see them again :D

Goranger and JAKQ are in the same universe.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I don't count that as being a continuity link because a) there's no proof that the actors are playing the same characters (although the G3 team comes real damn close) and 2) Episode Final isn't even in proper continuity with the series.

It's not. People just think that because of the Ryuki VS Agito special.

in all movie cameos it's just the actors, not the characters, so no connections.

I know what you mean, but the Final Episode is an alternate ending replacing the last few episodes of the series. So it fits, unlike most of the Rider movies these days lol!

Well in terms of kamen rider, i think that they are all connected, considering what happened in the den-o/ooo movie and tomoko in fourze showing a video of ichigo on her tablet, i felt like they basically un-did everything that decade set up.

In terms of sentai, yeah they are all definitely connected.

But is it Decade's fault?

I've always kind of figured every movie W is in is canon to his own little universe, and that said universe just happens to be inhabited by alternate universe versions of the other Riders. Except Let's Go Kamen Riders, because nothing in that movie made any sort of sense that wasn't its own special kind.

No, but it had Miho, which more than made up for it.

yeah it did. Everyone dies, Ryuki and Knight fly off into the sunset to die while fighting against things they can't beat. Oh yeah and something about a cake and a suicide.

Open endings are the best endings :)

I didn't like the ending in the series lol!

Eerie but I love that ending. Besides, I see Final Episode as the "real" ending for Ryuki cause you get the last of the 13 Riders who were not in the series.

Decade broke the Rider Universe, he truly is a destroyer of worlds lol!

Did anyone one watch that though? Because no one who was paying any attention would think the Ryuki HBV puts Agito and Ryuki in the same continuity.

Hey Decade fans! Do you consider the Decade "All Riders" movie in the Decade continuity? I find it hard to believe that Decade's final form is a giant belt.

I can consider it in continuity I suppose. It is possible after all, I mean Decades' whole schtick is crossing between worlds so you can think of this as an interim between episodes. Or something..... Yeah something.... It's his fault so in the end.... Uh. Yeah. :lol

This is the toku fandom you are talking about. People in this fandom believe random rumors from Japanese fan forums are legit sources of information from Japan. This fandom also believes that fake subs like RRR and CSC are real and such. I am not surprised by anything anyone believes anymore. You think 90% of this fandom pays attention to anything?

I could have sworn the purpose of Decade was to retroactively bring all universes together into a single unified one. Continuity issues are just minor technicalities :D
