Kamen Rider Similarities Battle Round 1: Beginning of an Era
Copying areaseven's idea but for Kamen Riders. Rather than just motifs, similarities will be explored here.
For the first battle, we see the Riders that started the Showa and Heisei eras Kamen Rider Ichigo (1971) Kamen Rider Kuuga (2000) Who is the best Rider to start their Era? |
Kamen Rider 1. Everything flows forth from Takeshi Hongo.
|
I voted Ichigo solely because I like Bleach. And strawberries.
|
Even though I started with Kamen Rider Kuuga, I voted for Kamen Rider 1.
|
Kamen Rider Similarities Battle Round 2: Wishes or Desires?
Copying areaseven's idea but for Kamen Riders. Rather than just motifs, similarities will be explored here.
Here is a battle between the two Riders whose powers were fueled by monsters that fulfilled desires or consumed desires- Kamen Rider Den-O (2007) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi..._Rider_OOO.jpg Kamen Rider OOO (2011) Who is the superior Rider? |
Den-O cause I've seen(most of)it.
|
OOO. All the way.
|
I've seen all of both. I really like them. This is a very hard choice. I'll have to think on it.
Edit: I'm going with OOO. As much as I like time travel, OOO has a lot more going on. |
Kamen Rider 1 doesn't need different forms to kick ass
|
Man, this is a hard one. I love the original Rider 1, but Kuuga is a fantastic show, too. Both characters are great, the effects are kind of dated but effective, and they're both justifiable icons. I guess I have to go with Kuuga, if for no other reason than it was the first Rider show I watched more than one episode of and really got into it (even if I had to wait a long time to finish it subbed). Also, he's just a Cool Guy. :thumb:
|
Ohhhh tough choice. I love me some OOO but Den-O is my boy.
|
I like them both but I'll go with OOO - the suit design is better and I have to give Eiji props for being able to fight under his own power instead of needing to be possessed.

Kamen Rider Similarities Battle Round 3: The Odd Man Out
Copying areaseven's idea but for Kamen Riders. Rather than just motifs, similarities will be explored here.
This time the battle is between the Odd balls of the two eras, plus another odd ball from the movies in between the two eras! Kamen Rider Amazon (1974) Kamen Rider Shin (1992 V Cinema) Kamen Rider Hibiki (2005) Who is the more Superior of the oddballs? Amazon and Hibiki will be in another battle |
No contest - Ichigo wins this one. He's badass because he's got the best henshin pose and a kickass theme song that he himself sings.
|
Tough call, but I'll have to go with OOO, as you can't go wrong with a Driver that has Akira Kushida's voice.
|
Ohhhhhhh I really like this one. I think I'd have to say that Hibiki wins the oddball race. If only for the first 29 episodes right Switchblade? :lol

Kamen Rider Similarities Battle Round 4: Our enemies use similar methods
Copying areaseven's idea but for Kamen Riders. Rather than just motifs, similarities will be explored here.
While our heroes use powers, these heroes have enemies who use similar methods to transform themselves! In this battle we see- Kamen Rider W (2010) Kamen Rider Fourze (2012) Whose series reigns supreme? Both riders will be featured in other battles |
Gotta give it to Fourze.
Lord knows everyone else is gonna vote Double anyway. |
AAAA
MAAAA ZON! Seriously, Amazon is freaking awesome. "KI KI KIII!!!" |
Two words: Dai Setsudan.
|
"cyclone! Joker!"
|
I love Fourze and all, but seriously man, it's freakin' W.
|

But yeah, Hibiki is one of my favorite Rider shows ever. Probably second only to Black. Amazon is a cool show and Shin is... a thing... but Hibiki rules my heart. |
Fourze for me, because I have watched more of Fourze and can't seem to keep watching W
|
Amazon or bust !
|
I legitimately did not anticipate anyone else voting for Fourze...
|
Looks like I get to break the current/temporary tie. Hmm....I haven't seen much of Fourze at all but it looks most entertaining. I'm finding W to be very good too.
Hmm........... I'll go with W here. |
Fourze Kitaaaaa!

Kamen Rider Similarities Battle Round 5: Femme Fatales
Copying areaseven's idea but for Kamen Riders. Rather than just motifs, similarities will be explored here.
Kamen Rider has had it's history of creating female riders only for them to meet there demise (except for one rider here), but they still managed to prove themselves to be pretty bad ass. Our ladies competing today are: Kamen Rider Femme (2002, Kamen Rider Ryuki) Kamen Rider L'Arc (2004, Blade) Kamen Rider Kiva-la (2010, Kamen Rider Decade) Kamen Rider Nadeshiko (2011, Kamen Rider Fourze) Out of our 3 movie rider girls, who reigns supreme? |
I haven't seen any of these in action. I'll go with Kiva-la just from a design aspect.
|
fourze ftw
|
No L'Arc?
I'm voting for Miho regardless because she's easily my favorite movie-exclusive Rider ever and one of my favorite Ryuki Riders in general, but still, L'Arc deserves to be here, too. |
Leo Zodiarts has won my heart these days but I will go with W on this one.

Reason for picking Kuuga: Watch episode 2.
|
DEN-O is awesome, but the whole thing with OOO having to keep his medals in check so that they do not get taken by the Greeds was a fun thing to see. Also, Goto's own hero's journey worked fine on the side.
