Megaforce Toy Poll!
Alright Ladies and Gentlemen. You've seen the toys by now, some of you lucky ones even own them already. Time to judge all! .. Wait that's Tajador... I know, Time to Judge Toys! That's better.
Are they better? Are they worse? Discuss! |
im going to wait untill i find some first,

If we can judge by looks, then I'd rate them higher than Samurai.
Either things are actually better or they learned how to better present the toys, they just look better (This opinion might entirely be based on Gosei Grand's box having, you know, actual box art). And the in hand pics look pretty nice, too. |
I think they're much better. I loved the Samurai Zord Build toys, aside from the small Claw, Scorpion, and Light Zord. Those are abominations. But the rest were solid. But these? Like Matrix said they actually have boxart, and style, and awesome.
|
Really, unless the toy is so amazing to look at that you just have to see it before buying, then box art >>>> plastic window.

I don't have an opinion yet but Den-O made the Zords sound really bad.
|
The only toy I plan to get is the morpher and that's not even out yet. I might have to buy some of the toys though, unless the cards released with the toys are repacked into the card game boosters. If that is how they intend to sell those.

In all honesty, while i barely buy toys anymore (hell as a kid i was big into the megazords and i havent bought one since 2004 during Dinothunder) Gosei Great Megazord looks cool and i do like that they have Zord builder system for kids. My only real complaint is the figures that come with the cycles (granted being a kid of the 90's and the earlier toys can spoil you). i just feel like they are missing an oppertunity with the figures for the cycles being of shit quality

megaforce is way better and some what better than samruai
|
So far I think they're somewhat better than Samurai. I liked the Samurai line for the most part (although no emblem modes BoA? Really? It's only seen in the show a bazillion times...yeesh). However, the paint detailing is a defnite improvement and I actually think the toy line is a bit more fun to mess with than Samurai (granted, BoA isn't entirely at fault there since the Shinkenger mecha aren't that much fun either). Overall I like the line so far. Now if I could only find the Lion Mechazord in stores. Found the bikes at my local Wal-Mart this weekend but no Lion Mechazord...wtf?

i say better the samurai also we call agree zord builder is the mugenbine for power rangers
|
I'm saying 'way better' BoA learned from the samurai line's mistakes and improved on them. By mistakes, I simply mean sacrificing show accuracy in order to downsize. So far, it looks like the Megaforce line has remained much more faithful to it's BoJ counterpart while still taking some creative liberties with the design.

Besides, Kyoryuger is giving us motorcycles, too.
So it's big in Japan, too :p |
Mine are sitting in closets waiting for me to open them for Christmas, but I have messed with the 4" figures that my brother has, only red and blue, but they just.... Feel better than samurai. The legs feel different, and their bodies look better proportioned. And still have weird muscles, but definitely better than past figures.
The Megazords look great. I can't wait. Especially Gosei Grand, he looks really good to me. |
Given they kept all the features from the goseiger mechs I would say way better than samurai. No symbol modes WTF?

My opinion? If Gosei Grand is solid, I will be content having him as my first Megazord (though I do find the fact that each Mechazord is sold seperately). |
I think Megaforce is about the same as Samurai. Slightly better, perhaps.
While they horribly dropped the ball by cutting the emblem modes (which I reeeeeally wanted), Bandai excelled in making them affordable, strong (plastic/build quality wise) and gave us everything and then some. The Lightzord got shafted something fierce, but we still received it. Megaforce, on the other hand, pretty much does what the Japanese mecha do, and then some. (The foldable wings, the Hyper backpack) However, there are no plans for Datas Hyper (last I checked), so I'm sure some aren't going to be happy with that. Plus, the build quality is a bit off. The plastic's good, but things are separating at the seams. (Super glue could definitely fix it.) So...I'm gonna say it's right about the same. Quality's a bit different between the two, but one seems to have full functionality while the other didn't. Sometimes function over form works best. |
does anyone have a gallery for mini claw or scorpionzord?

Truth be told, I liked the mini-claw. Of course, it pales in comparison to either deluxe. On another note, just about to upload the gallery of the mediocre duo. |
Doesn't this belong in the toy forum?

They feel pretty close to the Samurai toys. I think most of everyone is seeing is the difference in the suit designs.

PS I'm still buying only 4" Robo Knight. Everything else is of no appeal to me. |
