Go-Busters vs. Gokaiger To Feature Mecha Gokai Change
 

Scans from the latest issue of Televi-kun magazine have revealed that the forthcoming Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs. Gokaiger movie will indeed include a mecha gokai change!

As was seen in the previews following the last few episodes of Go-Busters, the mecha will be able to call on the power of giant ranger keys to transform into past mecha. Included in the magazine scan are Gaoranger's Gaoking, Magiranger's Magiking, Dairanger's RyuuseiOh, Flashman's Flashking, Zyuranger's Daizyujin, Boukenger's Daibouken and Gekiranger's GekiTouja!

In addition, the film will also feature new Buddyroid ranger keys!

It seems that in the new movie,Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger THE MOVIE,the mecha will have the ability to use giant ranger keys to henshin into past mechas!

I'm kind of amazed how like 2 of you mentioned that Gokaiger mecha battles would've been more interesting if they had Gokai changes, and now they will.

That's probably not what they're doing. I think those are just some special DX ranger keys they'll be releasing to go along with the movie.

EDIT: Aside from maybe Flashking, I've seen SRC releases or prototypes of all of them shown.

There isn't an SRC Gaoking either, but otherwise yeah.

Oh right. It just feels like there should be. Maybe my mind is just remembering the Retrofire shelfwarming. :p

Huh, I thought the pre-Gaoranger Mech costumes were all destroyed, seeing as though they were just photoshopped into 199 heroes. But guess not, that's awesome.

Ha! I said long ago it wouldn't be out of the question for Toei to remake some of the robo suits. Looks like they've done it, albeit kind of randomly. My guess is that the physical suits we see there may be the only physical suits used. All the other robos, if there are more than what's been seen, will most likely be shopped in.

Now why couldn't they do this in the show instead of idiotic opening panels and power spam?

Less toys to sell, remaking so many DX robos would be ridiculous feat even for an anniversary series :p

I think they also did the panels instead of this cause what would be the Major mecha they use if they did? Wait,they could've used the classic sentai's major mechas.....why didnt they do this?!

Why does everyone think the mecha costumes were only rebuilt for that scene? The Toei Museum has all of the mecha suits used on display. I can't find the pic, but I have seen a wall where all the suits are stored after each season. They definitely keep the suits.

I wouldn't say that. I mean, considering the rather specific line up of mechs, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that they maybe rebuilt Daizyujin and co.

Anyway, seeing GekiTouja without hearing "GEKIGEKIGEKIGEKIGEKIGEKI" over and over again is just odd :lol

Because those aren't suits dude. They were destroyed. The latex/rubber those old suits were made from seriously degraded over time, so most anything pre-Gaoranger is gone. The stuff at the museum is the models they used for each series. They're solid static pieces, not suits that move.

Not for me. That plays in my head whenever I see GekiTouja. :lol

I can buy part of the suit being unusable, but not the entire thing. The mech suits are definitely not all rubber and latex. I can see them taking what was left and just making new rubber and latex components though. Cheap enough to restore at least part of the suit. Toei seems like the kind of company to keep all of the molds and stuff needed for the suits in the event they have to recast stuff.

Toei doesn't really care about old stuff once it's series is done. While I don't doubt they'd destroy the Ranger suits, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume they'd get rid of the mecha. They'd be taking up space and keeping them in decent condition, fixing tears and attempting to prevent decaying would just be too much hassle (They love trashing and modding monsters, after all).
While I'm sure the suits wouldn't degrade entirely, thing is, why would they keep a decaying and tearing Daizyujin suit laying around for almost two decades, never being used? They'd probably destroy it rather than use money to restore it and rarely ever use it.
