Notice he hasn't publish review of polar bear and bull yet, and the whole combination of 5, Giant Braver.

So they give you the polar bear and bull even though you dont need them.Cool.Glad he put the ruler beside it.Was worried about the proportions.

Also really like how each of them have their own mode.Ape/Artillery platform,Shark/Ocean liner(or battleship,not sure),and Warthog/Bulldozer.

Actually, "Giant Saver" is formed by Ape Shark and Boar;
then bull and bear are the "upgrades", with all five together he's called "Giant Braver".

Also, each animal was meant to have some vehicle reference.
Ape - fire truck/fire fighting thing (thus the ladder sword and mask)
Shark - ship (does have a ship mode)
Boar - road grinder
Bull - bullet train
Bear - Timbersled snow bike

Makes sense.Favorite so far is definetly Shark till I see the others.Assault is looking like my favorite using the flying mechas and all.Now we just have to find a good site to buy them from.lol

Still not understanding the Gosei Megazord hate.

I quite like it. Its blocky and probably rather cheap as far as plastic quality is concerned but it makes up for it with those chrome pieces and a neat transformation.

It probably has to do with it's poor design and ridiculously low quality plastic :)

Man, that shark....If only it was zord builder compatible.

Man, those look fun. Love that there's a bit of thought given to the transformation, it's rather innovative. If these were available easily at affordable prices I might even consider buying a set.

I may have no interest in the Gosei design, but the toy looks very well made. Yes, I'm on your side for once, Sentai. Think of it as a Christmas present. :p






That said, this Giant Saver thingie looks awful. Not the design, but the quality. It looks like something I'd see at Big Lots.

I believe that's due to the camera quality and light setting and blah blah.

Seen real thing myself, plastic color's shiny, bounds light pretty well. Some plastic parts even look matellic.
Nothing dull as the Taiwanese photos at all (or maybe too colorful for many people).
Not 100% good as Bandai's sentai for sure, but not any bad as you thought, considering the price.

This looks good. Want to see the other sets in action too. But I'm definitely gonna try to get all three. I just hope the quality is good.

Could you tell us more about the plastic quality? At what level would you place it? For example, Transformers, Bandai of America, or Bandai of Japan?

My question isn't "How's the plastic?",Mine is "Where did you get it and can you ship us all one?"lol

Hmmm, about the plastic, I'll say 80% of Bandai's Sentai DX, for you can see much much more "flow mark" on surfaces.
However, this technically isn't a "plastic quality" issue: "flow marks" are usually due to not-as-advanced molding technics. And this is the unbreachable 20%.
If we're talking about the materials, they are pretty smooth, solid, clean edges, waaaay better than nowaday Transformers' plastic.

BTW, three other possible downsides if you compare to Bandai's DX:
1- Screws are generally larger, which break some of the detailings.
2- More hollow spaces. You know, Bandai's DX always have paddings to seal up inner side of an animal leg, bottom side of a jet wing etc. These Saver Robots don't.
3- Jointings are definitly not as good. I don't mean they are super loose, but just not shake-it-hard-like-a-mad-child secure.

Is it just me or is the red green blue combiner taking hints from Journey to the West?　I know most of the time Sha Wujing the water demon tends to resemble a Kappa but the way they have an ape, a boar, and an aquatic animal that is pretty vicious…．Just sayin'.

That sounds great, thanks for the information! Plastic quality that beats current Transformers is good news, Transformers hasn't really been top notch lately. Are the joints at least strong enough to support the combination?

They are. In three robot's basic forms (Giant Braver, Assault Saver, Crack Saver), they are fairly tight. You can shake and nothing falls.
But when you combine any of two team robots, their own weight starts to take Over. Some parts might fall if you shake.
Well, I'm using Hercules' standard here.

So how many combined forms are there? Is it more than the ones displayed on the box? Are they featured in the instructions? I've just ordered all three. My order came to $83 before overseas shipping.

Edit: May have been confusing. So how much combining can you do? I notice in your pic its got Gianty Braver combined with the blue lion (?) thing. Is hat a official mode? Is there other stuff like that? And you said they can combine two teams at a time?

Overall I think this combination is superior to first one we saw. The colors look great and I love the avian look of the individual mecha. The final combination reminds me greatly of Transformers' Predaking.

That final form looks,well,just bad.lol.I cant even tell where the arms are.Do like the over the shoulder cannon and the shield.I think My fav mech is gonna be Crack saver.

I really like the individual robos. The final combo is just... Its worse than anything Sentai has put out when it comes to clusterfucks. Even Samurai Haoh is more coherent.

Wait I got it wrong, the final combination I was referring to was Assault Saver. I still can't see the final combination so I don't know how this seeming monstrosity looks like.

I seriously thought the pile of parts with physics equations next to it was some sort of combined vehicle mode at first. Good grief.

Actually, the final combination in these photos was done wrong.
Imagine all those weirdly transformed official Transformer pictures we've been seeing for years XD
It's funny that this seller spent all the time photoshoping, yet didn't read much of the manual, and showed us that junk yard looking picture at the end....LOL

Ah. I'll hopefully find out how it REALLY looks soon :D. Does it look better?

It is still blocky, considering we have 12 animals together.
