Beast has made his presence known to both Phantom and human alike! So far he seems to be a stand-up kinda guy

But Wizard and Beast are having trouble setting on a way to deal with the Phantom problem!

They even can't agree on how to eat doughnuts! Just what won't Beast put mayonnaise on?

Of course the Phantoms aren't just going to sit and twiddle their thumbs while these two are fighting. Can our two heroes find common ground before it's too late?

I liked this episode. Brought up the argument of Beast's needing to consume Phantoms and the fact that, since no Phantoms are being born, there's only so much he can eat before the well runs dry.
It also showed he's not a one track mind, giving Haruto an opportunity to give a counter argument than the Phantoms.

I'm curious how this will be resolved, what he'll do around the 40's, when the Phantoms numbers will be thinned significantly, and what's up with that guy with the stupid hat.

Oh, and 2 episodes in and we've got motivation and backstory for Beast. Best character? Best character.

OK so. Just finished watching the ep with Over-Time's subs.

While I am sick of the whole "secondary Rider is an enemy to the main Rider" deal, I kinda can let the writers get away with it since Nitou isn't another brooding Rider with a personal agenda.

I mean, he's just an unlucky mayonnaise-loving schmuck who happened to stumble upon the belt while doing college work. This is his life we're talking about.

Hope he can bury the hatchet with Haruto soon (which seems to be happening in the next ep) and this whole rivalry doesn't last for too long.

Darn straight.

Loved this episode. I enjoyed Beast's back story and the fact they brought up how eventually he's going to run out of meals if Wizard keeps running around the way he is. Will be interesting to see how he manages to get out of his arrangement with Chimera.

Speaking of which, its good to see Chimera might be just as bigger dick as the WizarDragon is.

Hopefully by the end of next episode we'll have gotten the whole "The Rider's must fight" trope out of the way. That aside I want to know more about the Phantom who gave Koyomi the magic stone, and I'm hoping Chimera and Dragon will have some sort of interaction in the future as that could be interesting.

Great episode. Enjoyed getting to know Beast, how he came across his driver, and what his motivations are. Really like his character, he may be at odds with Haruto presently, but he seems like a legitimately likable guy, and he has his reasons.

The fact that they actually bothered to address the issue that if Haruto succeeds there will be no more Phantoms to sustain Beast also was very welcome, as everyone else has said.

I am really digging Kousuke, he reminds me a lot of Date from OOO. His interactions with Haruto are fun, too, but I hope they don't stay adversaries. I prefer my Riders to be friends, not enemies.

My interest with Wizard was starting to wane a bit but Beast rekindled my urge to watch it on a weekly basis. His character is so much for lively and dynamic than the others. He's had 2 episodes and I'm already more invested in him than Haruto, Shunpei, Rinko, or the rest of the cast.

It is nice to have a part of this show to be really interested in again. Beast has a neat albeit vague origin. And I love his gimmick and costume to death. However the lack of proper communication between Haruto and Nitou is already reaching Faiz proportions.

To be fair, it's not like they're intentionally withholding information. Nitou is constantly interrupting Haruto.
Nitou is brash and impatient. And now he's eating for two and the second will kill him if he doesn't feed it.

If you mean the guy that gave Koyomi the Magic Stone,the first thing I thought when I saw him is "My God,they got JK from Fourze! He's evil now!"lol

Also couldn't help but laugh when Haruto showed up to fight the Phantom in the episode for the first time,Kousuke starts to argue with him and Haruto pokes him in the stomach and says "Bang".lol

I think goofy fadora phantom (which I recognize as his official name henceforth) is Wisemans human form. That's pure specualtion but I think it's just as likely that goofball there is Wiseman as it is that Wiseman is White Wizard.

Pretty strong episode. The comedic parts were funny, the way they explained Beast's circumstance made it valid why Beast would act the way he did. He just adds more dynamism to the show overall. And Koyomi now has the magic stone for Land Dragon so that would show in the next episode or so.

I wasn't sure how I felt about Beast as a character last week, but I do now. I hate Mayonnaise (I don't care what his real name is, he's Mayonnaise now). 50% of the episode is him interrupting people to listen to himself talk about how great he is, but lacks the charisma and intelligence to pull it off. The entire plot hinges on him doing this to Haruto every time Haruto tries to speaks. This is the worst way to do the misunderstanding fight because it only happens because Mayonnaise is an idiot that doesn't listen for more than two seconds.


Now I know people will fight me on this, so before that I will say some things good about the episode.

I did like the origin story. Simple and direct.

I liked the Mayonnaise joke. I want it to continue for the rest of the show.

Also, Haruto's "bang" made me laugh. Wish Haruto would do stuff like that more often.

That was my gut feeling as well.

I think Chimera is lying to Mayonaise about him dying without eating Phantoms mana. I think there's some hidden reason that both WizarDragon and Chimera need the Phantoms dead, and it has something to do with the White Wizard.

I also loved how everytime they fought together,Haruto always said "Hey,here he comes" and let Beast fight him.Hilarious.

just saw the ep subbed. It was pretty good. Speculation wise that unknown phantom might either be wiseman or a perhaps a phantom thats working separate and wants to help Haruto. Also i do believe that chimera isn't lying about the need to consume mana, however if beast gets some form of an upgrade (which he better) it might just fix that problem.

It wasn't that Beast would die without their mana, it's that Chimera would kill him if he didn't sustain him IIRC.

I double checked and I guess it could be seen both ways.

It might be a translation thing but 'we have become as one' and 'your very life will be extinguished' seems to imply Chimera wouldn't be doing the killing. I think it's meant to be a symbiotic relationship and Chimera is saying Mayonnaise will die if he doesn't keep Chimera going. Could be wrong.

I like that we're sticking with calling Beast "Mayonnaise".

That's what I got from it too. Chimera became one with Kousuke for whatever reason and as a byproduct of that Kousuke needs mana to keep them both going.

I think the same about the mana situation.Kousuke,since first debuting,has always done things or assumed stuff without getting all the facts.He didn't know about the belt and just put it on without studying it or any knowledge of it.We also don't know The Chimera's motives and why it needs to feed on mana.

First, love the name and second, I dont think he is White Wizard, but I do think that he is a Wizard. I hope KR Wizard dose get a good in series Wizard, and if it is goofy fadora phantom then that will be fine whith me

Well...right now it seems that he needs to to be able to survive. That does, however call into question how he survived all those years being buried. I'm sure we'll find out later. they can't tell you everything right away.

I thought the episode was good, it did make me realize something though. What was the point of hiding Wiseman at the beginning if they just show him now? That aside though, I liked how we got some backstory on Nitou. I wonder why the Phantoms are just giving Haruto new magic stones, granted one could argue that the Water Dragon one was taken rather than given, but whatever. Kinda sucks that Nitou was so easily tricked, but I can understand why...since he assumed right from the beginning that Haruto also consumed mana. It's interesting how his powers are very limited like Zeronos, except that with Yuuto it was his entire existence rather than his life. Oh yeah and Chimera was neat to see.

Also, I can never hear the word "bakemono" without thinking of KamenRiderOOO. :lol

Well, I know this is Wizard, but there are some small things that reminded me of OOO in this episode-

Using Liquid UnderWater- ShaUTa fights
Beast's belt eating the mana from the Ghouls- has the same sound as when the MedaGabryu "swallows" Cell Medals

But the Chimera never says it will kill him,he just said Kousuke will die if he doesn't provide him with mana.I think it's gonna turn out the Chimera is using him to get meals,not because he's gonna die but because that might be the only way he can get mana,by having a "vessel" defeat the Phantoms to get the mana.I also think the Chimera is the one that summoned the monsters when Kousuke first found the belt to force him into agreeing.I think down the road though the Chimera will change it's mind about Kousuke just like the Dragon did with Haruto.

And no,I realize they can't,I'm just speculating.:D

I'm still not convinced that Dragon changed his mind. He allowed Haruto access to his power because he fount it amusing, entertaining. He may even respect Haruto to a degree. But at this point, without any further dialogue from Dragon it's hard to say whether or not he's using Haruto like Chimera may be using Nitou.

I just hope we get more on Dragon beyond that brief interaction when he got the Flame Dragon ring...

That's what I meant to say.Right now,yeah,I do think the Dragon is still using Haruto,but for what? As for Nitou,the Chimera probably still sees him as just a lowly vessel.I think that's how he'll get his second form as well,by earning the Chimera's respect.(I'm still waiting to see Nitou offer the belt some mayonnaise.lol)
