Zokuhen Sentai Kuraiger
 

I've been planning this for quite sometime, and only now do I have a solid and original aesthetic for my own team of rangers. I'm planning to have four, each wielding the power of one of the four elements as well as a knight of light, hey that rhymes!

So, here's a basic run down of the premise, or at least what I can say without giving too much away.
Borrowing the same format from OOO, I shall present each member side by side with their old and new incarnation and top it with a group shot once they're all done. First up, the teams leader and founder Kurai... Blue?

It's a pretty solid design. Some fan designs tend to be overly elaborate, but this one seems to have a strong "less is more" vibe and genuinely looks like something Super Sentai could use.

Could you tell us more about your team motif?

I just noticed, there's no animal eyes on the helmet. Gives me a real Gekiranger vibe. I like it.

The over all team motif is mythical creatures as well as the four elements. Blue is based on a wolf and ice (substitute for water), Red a dragon and fire, Yellow a great bird and air and Green a minotaur and earth. I also plan to add in a Knight character based on a lion and light.

Now the team will start as a trio but Green arrives later and then the knight much a kin to Gekiranger. I'm also working on mecha ideas. I've got the individual ones in mind, but not much on how they would combine into the title mecha Kuraijin.

Edit: Somehow I forgot this, but like Dekaranger the girls don't have skirts.

Try to give Red dragon ears (like in a way whith Blues wolf ears) or slim down the outer horns. But it is a good design overal, great work.

Bio: Born from the despair within Kurai Blue's own heart, Shira detests everything that Blue holds dear. Out of the four of Hakai's followers, Shira is the only one that can assume a human form, being born from a human herself. This is a talent that Hakai finds rather valuable, and exploits it for scouting to further the destruction of humanity. Shira can be thought of as Kurai Blue's shadow.

So is each Senshi going to have an enemy with a similar motif? If so, I dig it. Reminds me of the Greeed, as well the Gouma and RinJyuden(two sides to the same coin kinda thing).

Hey thanks, I actually did have San in mind and I also listened to the Princess Mononoke soundtrack while I was designing her. Good to see someone noticed.

Oh and just so you know, I am working on a few ideas for that request of yours, but it may take a while to get it just right. But that's mainly due to my hard drive getting messed up and me losing my ranger templates.

P.S. Princess Mononoke is my all time favorite movie.

You could probably reverse-engineer(so to speak) the templates from the two senshi you already uploaded.

I have thought of poses for each of them, but I'm not that good a drawing battle poses.

Now that the three heroes are assembled they need evil to fight. I've already shown the cold blooded Shira, and soon we'll meet the hectic Hurricane, the ultimate warrior Biter, the dragon Ryu-O and Hakai the Destroyer. Stay tuned!

Update: The three now feature their respective clan emblems on their chest ala Shinkenger.

Engineered by Kurai Blue herself from old Gaia Memory Radiation (GMR) scanners, these devices allow the three main heroes to resume the fight against evil.

How To Use:
Hit the button on the side to open the key pad. Hit the GMR Scanner at the top to transform.

Alright, now this next one will spark some confusion with a few people. Although I'm sure a few people might have qued in on this I might as well stop trying to hide it. The two stories that I'm currently working on, Kamen Rider Xtreme and Zokuhen Sentai Kuraiger have more then their fair share of similarities, simply because they are pretty much the same story. Well, at the very least Xtreme is to Kuraiger as MMPR is to ZEO, Turbo and In Space. Heck, Zokuhen literally translates to "sequel".

Alright now that that's out of the way, I now can finally give at least one of the Kuraigers a name and a face. She becomes the favorite of pretty much everyone I show my work to, the leader of the Kuraigers, Shiore Fubuki.

Out of all the characters that transfer over from Xtreme to Kuraiger, Shiore probably changes the most between the two, which is why I have both her Xtreme and Kuraiger designs represented here.

Bio:
The founder of Zokuhen Sentai Kuraiger and inventor of the Kurai Changers, Shiore is the last surviving member of the four clans. Though she may not say much, everything Shiore does say is deliberate and precisely worded. That translates over to her fighting style as well, each move she makes is calculated to allow her to survive long enough to fulfill a promise she made long ago.

Shiore looks really good. I actually prefer her Kuraiger design over the Xtreme one. Of course, I'm now utterly confused at your storyline, but then again I am when watching/reading most Sentai at first :Lol. Can't wait to see the rest.

To briefly sum up the storyline without giving to much away, Xtreme runs it's course and then Kuraiger begins with a power loss with three of the five riders, and those three (Shiore, Carter and Tara) take up ranger powers that Shiore engineers to continue the fight against a new evil as well as their stolen rider powers. Which is the reason Shira as well as the other henchmen share the same motif as the Kuraigers.

I was hoping to keep the identities of the Kuraigers a secret until they appeared in Xtreme, but I finally decided that the only thing that I would spoil by revealing them was things that were extremely obvious.

I think I just prefer the shorter hair, and the jacket beign around her waist instead of actually being worn. And now I understand what you're going for.

Oh, okay. Also, she's wearing a sweater not a jacket.

The emblem is made up of the emblems of the four clans much like Goseiger. From top to bottom we have the horns of Minotaur, the wings of Eagle, the wings of Dragon and the head of Wolf.

Bio: Tara is the wild cat of the team. Always charging into battle with the intent to make the biggest bang possible, she often has a tendency to get a little... carried away? With the help her best friend Kree, a small mechanical bird, she is gifted with the power of the wind and is sure to see her foes off with a graceful demise.

Age: 15 in Kamen Rider Xtreme and 17 in Zokuhen Sentai Kuraiger.

Bio: Although he can come off as somewhat rude, Carter can always sense a persons true intentions and allows them to see them through as they see fit. He might say much, but he speaks volumes when he acts whether it's charging into battle with maximum fire power or leaving a strong impact on a person with the smallest of actions.
