Power Rangers Megaforce Premieres February 2nd at 1PM
 

TV Guide Listings have finally given us the start date for the new Ranger season!

Tune in to Nickelodeon on Saturday, Feb. 2nd at 1 PM and watch the Megaforce saga unfold!

Finally! I really hope they promote the heck out of this show. Can't wait to see what Saban has for us.

I expect not a single commercial before the premiere.

I agree. I watched samurai the other day and must have shown 4 previews for super ninjas in a half hour and not one for Megaforce. Nicks handling of power rangers is bullshit

Funny thing was that they were so enthusiastic during the early days. What happened?

I'm really not sure. Like you said in your other post, they went all out during Samurai's debut to hype the show. But I don't remember a single advertisement about its conclusion. And with February 1st really not that far away, I would have expected them to start advertising Megaforce by now. So I don't think they will too much.

I get the impression that nick doesn't care because they don't make as much money off it since Sabans name is plastered on the title. Look at Tmnt, nickelodeon's name is right above the title of that show. They prob just want whatever contract they have with Saban done and over with so they can use that time slot with something their name is on. It's just my theory

Do we know if Saban has any plans for their own channel? I heard something about a time slot called Vortexx?

It already happened. Comic, we talked about paying attention :lol Saban bought out 4kids.tv and took over the Cw's Saturday morning kids block. They show Justice League Unlimited, Lost Galaxy, things like that.

Well, you know me. :D But in this case, my question is still half-relevant as the Vortexx seems like a kids block, not a full channel like the Hub. I wonder if Saban would ever wish to expand to a full channel.

I'd support it. But for now I'm just hoping Power Rangers gets moved there instead of Nick.

Man this is a tough choice. On the one hand, having it on Nick means more non-US regions can at least have a stab at watching it. For example few Hub shows make it to Australia. On the other hand, it does seem almost insulting the way Nick is treating Power Rangers.

That's sooner than I expected, I'm hoping it will be good (or at least better than Samurai).

I really don't know if it takes that much to be better than Samurai. :lol Keep the good production values from Samurai, up the writing and acting by a bit and I think we've got a winner.

Considering the amount of time they spent casting for Megaforce, I'm confident that they grabbed a good set of actors. However, the director and how he/she directs the cast will be a different story.

Well lets see him on the show first before we jump to conclutions, but that was my first thought too.
