SH Figuarts Kamen Rider 1 (Sakurajima Ver.) Pictorial Review
 

Popular toy blogger Hacchaka has posted an extensive pictorial review of the recently released S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider 1 (Sakurajima Ver.). The third release of this mold, this features Kamen Rider 1 in an alternate colorscheme that appeared when the character first returned to the original series after passing the torch onto Kamen Rider 2!

The review also features pictures alongside the original Kamen Rider 1 release, Kamen Rider 2 and the New Cyclone bike.

No, you guys. He's talking the difference between this and The First (Not the present day version, which has a comparison, but the movie, "Kamen Rider The First", version).

While I personally know the differences, that's what Sentai was asking.

If that's the case, then capitalisation goes a long way :lol

I was asking what was the difference between this version and the original Kamen Rider 1. Show-wise. Because I've never heard of this version before. But judging from the look, I think I'll save up and try and find The First instead. I liked that move.

What does Sakurajima mean?

Anyway, the Rider Punch effect piece should have come with Nigo since he does the punch in the show.

Darker colors do suit KR 1 much better than his first. If I had the cash for it, I would totally buy this.

This is the costume he wore when he returned to the series after having been written out because the actor was injured in a stunt. That episode took place on Sakura Island(Sakurajima) an active volcano. The figuarts we already have of this character was from later in the show's run. This is actually the second costume he wore, the original one was like this, but with the colors from The First costume.

Thank you, that was the answer I was looking for. I do like the darker colors, but I still think I'm going for The First. I just like it better.

Man, I need this guy. And Stronger, and V3...

That's pretty cool, makes it feel a lot more than a standard repaint.

I was originally going to skip over this and just pick up the original release, but these pics are making me reconsider. Those darker colours are so much more appealing.

For some reason the hair in the back of the helmet is making me rethink a purchase.

Considering that you probably won't display him facing backward, I must ask why.

I love little details like that on figures that you normally would never notice. I love they took the time to work out that detail, sculpt it, and kept it in the final product. I love little things like that.

And I would display him backward. With a nice over the shoulder look pose, so you can see the detail.

Man, this looks good. I've got some money left over from Xmas, and I'm seriously thinking about getting this for my first figuart.
