Have you ever seen Goseiger?
 

Den-O brought up something I've been thinking about for a while now. How many of you people who hate and don't like Goseiger, have actually watched it? And be honest. No one can see who voted for what on the poll.

I saw until the point when they got the super mode. Was already getting bored of it and the leaked pics of gosei ultimate just made me quit.

Saw a little under half the series as it was airing. When I get to the pearly gates I am going to file for a motion to be sent back to Earth for those ten hours as I am fairly certain I deserve to get them back.

For me at least the plot was moving so slowly, and to think i got into decade at the same time. How ironic.

I watched the first several episodes and random episodes afterwards and just could not get into it. The ranger cast just annoyed me to no end, as did the kid and his father (and their arcade bot) and I found the villains to be extremely lackluster. I did like that they were named after movies though. The costumes were cool but the mecha were even worse than the Origamis of Shinkenger.

However, my biggest issue is that I was just bored. Each episode felt like it was an hour long.

It's really a good deal Sentai... you only have to watch 13 episodes of Akibaranger, we have to watch, what 48 Goseigers?

It was my first complete Sentai series and I'm pretty darn indifferent. I didn't particularly hate it, but it wasn't really that great. The characters were mostly bland, the plots were dull, and some of the later designs (IE: all of the obnoxious gold) were total garbage. There were some fun episodes, Gosei Knight was well-designed and had a great VA, and the base designs were pretty cool. It was very generic in a franchise with enough generic to go around.

I liked it hope they do good with Megaforce though

It's an adequate series that does enough good for me to give it a thumbs up. Gosei Knight, Brajira, the concept, and the overall tone outweigh the bad.
That said, I can't defend the bad whatsoever. The toy shilling that comes in the form of constant weapons and upgrades, the lackluster villains that don't really have any form of connection, the bland rangers who rarely receive meaningful character development, and a story that does little to actually set up the twist at the end.

Gosei is a mixed bag, but, in my opinion, it's not as boring as everyone says.
Then again, after fighting through 4 episodes of Sun Vulcan, I've grown a new found respect for watching grass grow and paint dry, so my perspective on what's boring might just be due to tolerance.

Gah. ... .. Fine. I'll watch Akibaranger..

Only reason I want to even watch goseiger at all is the glory that is gosei knight

god I can't wait for that figuart to get here this week :lol I may hate goseired with a passion, but i can stomache him i guess to see gosei knight in action :lol

and if it gets Sentai to watch Akibaranger, its worth it :p

I do plan to watch Goseiger eventually. Outside of Gekiranger, it's the one I want to watch the most.

I was going to follow it, but gave up after just the first two episodes. I know it really wasn't a lot to go on, but at that time I was influenced by naysayers on the internet and decided not to go for it.

Goseiger overall wasn't bad. I remember episodes feeling very long and dragged out. Over time I think I came to appreciate everything more. I will say the crossover movies helped. Both with Shinkenger as well as 199 heroes. I've developed a taste to where it becomes really hard for me to hate any Sentai or Rider show. Some just rank lower than others, but there isn't really a series I can hate.

Since I gave it 2/5 when I reviewed it, I guess that qualifies as me not liking it?

It looks great, and Brajira is one of my favourite Sentai villains, but I can understand why people find it a chore to watch. The main cast isn't particularly likeable, the villain groups underdeveloped and the bulk of the episodes boring.

I don't actively hate it by any means and I'll probably watch it again someday, but it's not a series I'd go about recommending to people.

But.. Moune! Moune man Moune! And Gosei Knight! Gosei Knight and Moune!

I've never seen it. The meka doesn't exactly turn me on from the still pictures I have seen but I cannot judge the series one way or another.

I watched every episode last summer, it was my second super Sentai series with the first being shinkenger, so it wasn't that bad to me but I did prefer shinkenger better. I also prefer gokaiger a little more, however I don't like gobuster that much.

Goseiger is easily the weakest Sentai series I have finished.

The characters are flat and undeveloped; they don't evolve or change at all over the series.

The villains are mostly uninteresting.

The stories are utterly generic.

And the cast seems just as bored as the audience during the show.

Watched every episode.

Because that's not the point of the poll. It's about whether those that hate Goseiger have their reason justified by having watched the entire show.

I'd just like to note that I am in no way taking part in this offer.

Despite what any haters will say, I absolutely loved Goseiger as well. I may not be as fanatical as Sentai is about it, but I do love it. It's easily one of my favorite sentai. For those who watch a portion of it and make a judgment based on that, I suggest you watch the rest and make a more informed decision.

I actually found a YT channel that has the first ten episodes subbed. I'll watch those at some point later today, and then go from there.

Wow, could you have made any more of a horriblly misconstrued poll? The options here are sad. There is such a thing as middle ground.

I have not seen it and have no real opinion on it. So I will not vote.

From what I understand, the poll is only for people who hate it.

Again, the point of this poll isn't a well rounded investigation of people's opinion of Goseiger. It exists to tally people who's dislike for Goseiger is justified by having seen the show, and people who's dislike isn't justified from not seeing it.

Which is just silly. You lose meaningful data with the loss of votes from people like me who choose to then not ote, and very much worse still, change the results of the other data with people who feel forced to vote an extreme because that is the only option, even if that's not how they feel.

I will give input on the one thing I think I can without having watched it - mecha design.

The Headers were lazy and throwing them all over the place looks silly to me. So that'd be one negative for me I suppose.

I love Goseiger. I'm on epic 33 right now, and I've loved every episode.
