SIC OOO PuToTyra and KT Rising Mighty Kuuga,Rising Beat Gouram
 

Thanks to recently leaked Hyper Hobby magazine scans we can confirm that SIC Kamen Rider OOO PuToTyra Combo will be released in May for a whopping 6,500 yen! However the price appears to be well worth it as PuToTyra, first seen at Tamashii Nations 2012, comes with a pair of giant tail and wing effect parts to replicate his most powerful attacks!

Also revealed in these scans are SIC Kiwami Tamashii Kamen Rider Kuuga Rising Mighty and the Rising Beat Gouram! The only pictures provided are of prototypes and now release dates or pricing have been confirmed for Kuuga or the Gouram at this time.

Something about OOO lends itself really well to the SiC treatment. I don't know what it is, but between PuTuTyra and TaJaDor it's made me a believer in the SiC.

Storywise, it makes a ton of sense too. To me, this is OOOs full on greed form.

Well I was already locked in on these SIC's anyway. OOO is the only rider I wanted to collect in this style since the designs lend themselves really well to this interpretation. That being said, even if I wasn't already going to get all of them I certainly would now.

If the BeatChaser comes with the Beat Gouram I am probably going to skip the TryChaser. This is the Kuuga bike set I've been waiting for. Also where's the info on Rising Mighty Kuuga? The picture just has regular Mighty form.

Woot! Been waiting for the Gouram armor. Wasn't expecting it to come in a nice big set like this though. Very happy the BeatChaser is included because now I can skip the TryChaser without worry. Nice to have a Rising form to. It's a simple repaint afterall.

According to the original article this info came from there's supposed to be a Rising Mighty Kuuga to go with the Gouram. They may just be using regular Mighty as a place holder.

There's something I've been wondering though. What's the story behind these SIC redesigns? I swear I remembering hearing that there was a reason for their more monstrous and detailed appearance, but for the life of me I cannot remember.

The idea behind SIC, as I understand it, is to do these designs the way Ishinomori would have - much more monstrous and insectoid than the suits used on the shows.

The very first SIC was Kikaider, not a Kamen Rider. If you've seen what the Kikaider suit looks like, you can see why they wanted to redesign it. The idea was to redesign it to be closer to the original concept art while adding a lot of detail. While Kikaider is a robotic design, Kamen Rider is based on a bug. The "monstrous" design comes from the bug motif found in most Riders.

I'm not a fan of the over stylized and detailed SIC, I perfer accurate figuarts but whatever. PutoTyra though looks like if OOO was dropped into the world of Darksiders and stylized in that way. Completely badass.

I'm still waiting to get my TaJaDor. I got my replacement TaToBa already. I can't wait for GataKiriBa and then PuToTyra. They look amazing. Oh and the effect parts set.

It really does. I only think PuToTryra is ok, but I think the SIC looks awesome! I have a question...can yo switch around combos like you could switch forms with the Double SICs?

Yes. It was advertised with either TaJaDor or GataKiriBa images IIRC.

No, I think it's...eh. which is wierd...he has wings, and kind of a trenchcoat-y look, and purple and white is a color scheme I really like, but I think the SIC looks awesome.

I'd say it's the same reason the more bug themed riders always look nice. The organic SIC style brings out the animalistic features.

According to Tendou Toys this will actually be a set. The Rising Gouram will include Rising Mighty Kuuga.
