Whats your worst and best Power Rangers video games
thanks to topic that came up from sentai and ljacone i thought this thread need to be made. what are your best and worst power rangers video games and on power rangers.
|
I do like making lists! Best to Worst ones I've played!
1) MMPR The Fighting Game - It had a great line up, awesome mechanics, amazing locations, and freaking Cyclopsis! 2) MMPR The Movie - Another great game. A good side-scroller, and the boss/zord fights were perfect. I loved how you could choose between NinjaMega, Falcon, and Falcon NinjaMega. 3) Zeo Racing Game - Not a Great Game. But I liked playing it. It was a decent way to pass an afternoon. 4) Power Rangers Super Legends - God... Where do I begin. The story was lacxking, you couldn't choose what Rangers you started as. It started you out as the OO Rangers for God's sake! And the Zord Battles... a rhythm game.. Really Bandai? Really? |

I kinda liked the fighting game. I question how many fighting games Sentai has played if he's saying it had awesome mechanics, but it was fun nonetheless.
Not so much the rest. Was never keen on side scroller beat'em-ups, and I never touched Zeo racing. |
MMPR Fighting Edition for the SNES is the best fucking PR game ever!

If it gets released on XBLA/PSN/WVC with online to tie into the 20th anniversary, I'm totally picking it up. |

Can I count a Sentai game?
The best ones are the MMPR Game Gear game and the Carranger SNES game. The worst I'd have to give to either the Zeo racing game or the Lightspeed/Time Force N64 games. |

MMPR and MMPR:TM for Game Gear are both excellent. I still play them to this day. They are fast-paced Fighters from Banpresto. The controls are tight and easy to learn, using the 2 buttons of the Game Gear very well. Both have unique special moves for each character, bright graphics, and good 8 bit sound adapting music from the show.
Each has their strengths and weaknesses. MMPR has a better and bigger cast, including all 6 Rangers, Megazord, Dragonzord, Dragonzord Fighting Mode, Goldar, the Putty Patrol, King Sphinx, Nasty Knight, Shellshock, Polluticorn, and Cyclopsis. The story mode follows the general layout of the monster's episode -- IE, if Goldar was in the Ranger battle with the monster, you'll fight him as a sub boss in one or both rounds of a stage. It also has two stages devoted to Green With Evil. In the first stage you fight Evil Tommy and then GIANT EVIL TOMMY like on the show. The second stage starts with fighting the Dragonzord and then fighting Evil Tommy, again like the show. After that stage, Tommy becomes available as does the Dragonzord variants. MMPR:TM's big improvement is a Super meter and a Super move for each character in addition to their three special moves. Also, the life bars are now clearly segmented, so you can see how many units of health you have left. The cast, however, is smaller, with only 15 characters -- the 6 Rangers (White replacing Green of course), Thundermegazord, Ninja Megafalconzord, Goldar, Z-Putty Patrol, Beamcaster, Jaws of Destruction, Ooze Men, Hornitron, and the Ivan-Ectomorph. The story mode cutscenes for the Lord Zedd stages are lame, with the same dialogue reused each time. But the movie cutscenes are much better. White Ranger's sprite has Saba with him constantly, so most of his punches are actually sabre-slashes, which is neat. The Super Moves are great, as a general rule. The two Megazords' Super Moves are their finishers from the show, for example. Both games are really strong, overall. More later... |
the worest one i played was was dino thunder on ps2 it was boaring no ranger fights all in zord fights

I had a lot of fond memories playing the Lightspeed Rescue ps1 game and I Have Vague memories of enjoying the Timeforce PS1 game. Worst would be the Dino Thunder PS2 Game, That was just plain boring.

I never even knew there was a Dino Thunder game.
Super Legends was pretty bad, but the concept was interesting. Right now I'm hoping for a MUA styled PR game, because that would be boss, with customizable attacks, leveling up, etc etc. Oh, and can a mod please fix the typo in the title? Please? |

Just played a bit of the Game Boy Color Lightspeed Rescue. I have enjoyed this game from the first time I played it despite some clunky controls (typical of Natsume games) and a poor Megazord fighting interface.
The "rescue civilians" and "fight Batlings" portions of the stages are cool, especially the rescue parts. On some of those later stages you will need every second to rescue all 20 civilians so you had better know the path you want to take. The Megazord fights look impressive for the hardware but are hampered by the controls. Each one is more of a battle of attrition than anything else. But at least the cinematics before and after are cool. I may be a sucker for LSR because I love the series so much but this is a good game. |
Ive been playing Samurai for X-box kinect. It makes me realize how horribly out of shape i am. :lol
4 levels in and i had to fight Deker and afterwards i felt like i had just been in a fight with a monster. It's still a lot of fun though! |
I think it was on the Sega that it had came out on or maybe the n64? Either way they made a fighting Megazord game based on the MMPR-S3 Zords for one of those system and I played the heck out of that. Then there was this one game that came out on the PS2 where you were able to play as the zords from DinoThunder and eventually you can unlock past season zords like wild force to play as..Totally forgot that name, I thought it was cool because I was in the phase of "GIANTS ROBOTS ARE AWESOME" when I was young so I didn't care at the time for rangers..lol

Remember that 3d Godzilla fighting game from not long ago? God I wish there was a ranger one coming out with the past 20 years of Megazords in it.lol |

I enjoyed Super Legends to some extent. Wasn't the best, but it certainly wasn't the worst.
|
BEST: MMPR The Movie for the Genesis.
WORST: Super Legends for PS2 |
Best: Dino thunder game cube
Worst: Samurai for kinect. |
Honestly, I can't remember any of the original games. But I played the Dino Thunder for PS2. It. Was. Horrible.

I miss the day's when Power Ranger games were awesome & rated T for Teen, the 90s & early 2000s were the best; but now, the Power Ranger games of today are not even worth my time or my money.
|
Is the Super Megaforce 3DS game any good? I want a game and I like the fact that it uses the ranger keys.
