Kyoryuger Toy Listings Reveal Kyoryu Gold
 

Even though Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger hasn't begun to air yet, Alpha Hero Shock is reporting that toy listings for the 2013 Super Sentai series include news of a sixth member to the team - Kyoryu Gold!

According to these listings, Kyoryu Gold will transform using the GaburiChanger, a gauntlet, and his weapon will be the ZanderThunder, an electric sword. His robot will be the 6th Zyudenryu, Pteragodon, the golden pteranodon, that will transform into PteRaidenOh.

Meanwhile the main Kyoryuger team will receive a new ally in the form of Bunpachy, a black pachycephalosaurus. They will also have new weapons - the Fang Shot and the Shieldron Slasher. Finally, the toy listings note that a Super Sentai Zyudenchi set is planned.

It has been speculated that Kyoryu Gold's identity will in fact be Torin (the team's mentor), in a role similar to that of Dekamaster in Dekaranger. His announcement coming this early adds a lot of credence to the theory.

A new Gold Ranger you say?

Oh wow. I hope Kyoryu Gold isn't the last of the Kyoryugers, seeing as he is being introduced so early. Rather, given the large number of mecha they'll end up having, they could easily introduce quite a few more to go with them. Now that would be interesting.

Imagine if they break the record set by dekaranger in terms of rangers made combined with the massive amount of mecha supposedly going to be made, this could be an awesome series.

This really is becoming Abaranger with Samba.

since june doesnt have any 7th ranger listings, im guessing that if there's another ranger it will probably debut around 20 or 21 that's in july, so we'll probably a new ranger listing in july when we get the third quarter toys.

I'm getting kind of tired of Gold (and Silver). Not that there's anything wrong with Gold and Silver, it's just every team since Go-Onger has had Gold and/or Silver as the additional ranger(s). Just want a change of place is all. Much rather have a new Purple, White, or something else.

Hrm....Gold is going to look a little strange with the yellow sash that goes across the chest. Maybe KyoGold will have a different design from the other.

And I have to agree with Blade Raider, I would like to see a different color than Gold or Silver. Shinkenger had a gold, Goseiger had a silver, Gokaiger had a silver and Go-Buster has both Gold and Silver. There are other colors out there. KyoViolet or maybe KyoPlaid!

Excellent news about the 6th ranger, im assuming with the mech forming PteRaidenOh that could be an alt sentral unit in a combined form?

Cheers to Spada from mentioning the HLJ preorders, id checked earlier today and they werent up. Glad i got my mecha preorders in, doubt i'll touch the roleplay stuff, but who knows.

If they're going to go towards Abaranger again with this, why not another White? I mean if you're going for it, just go for it.

While this is cool I'm a little concerned their isn't a kyru yellow

I say that because hasn't every Sentai have a red,yellow,and blue

What I'm trying to say I guess is that I'm disappointed that my guess of 6th ranger yellow was wrong

JAKQ, Battle Fever J, and Changeman didn't have yellows.

Most people forget this because the last series without a yellow was in 1985.

I asked Scott Hardes of HLJ directly as to why their wasn't a KyoYellow and he said that very question was raised at the Bandai preview for merchants. The reason was due to the yellow pattern that runs along the ranger's torso. Bandai's costume designers said that it would look terrible since the yellow used in the pattern is the same yellow that would be used for the Ranger suit. They then made a mock up of it and internally decided to drop yellow from the lineup.

Also, it would be much odder to not have a Blue ranger. Every single rangers series has had a Blue.

I do like a good gold ranger.

It seems we've had some variation of Gold or Silver for the Sixth Ranger since Go-onger. It must be a successful formula.

So I decided to wait out the preorders for AmiAmi and got screwed. They can't have been up more than half an hour and they're freaking gone already :mad:

Consistently yes but it goes back even further:
Boukenger - Silver
Magiranger - Gold
Gaoranger - Silver

In the last 10 years (starting with Abaranger) there have been
5 Gold Rangers (counting DekaGold)
5 Silver Rangers
5 White Rangers (I'm including DekaBreak, DekaSwan & MajiMother)

I think we're running out of bright colors here folks.

If gold turns out to be the bird guy and another human ranger shows up later, iw would perfactly fine with it. Look on the bright side al lest its not a phone

That's because a Pink Ranger is likely necessarily a female Ranger by color, and lone female sixth Rangers are still considered too risky.

Really excited for KyoryuGold's Zord, hopefully it'll be pretty large and have it's own Megazord form like Go-Buster Beet's BC-04 and then be able to combine with the other auxiliary zords into another Megazord form like GaoIcaru. Hoping that it'll be more like Go-Buster's zord-combination style instead of simple limb swapping.
