Jason David Frank Speaks About Power Rangers Megaforce
 

It's not that it's a slow news day. But when the most famous, and arguably most popular Power Ranger of all time decides to post regarding Power Rangers Megaforce, we figure a lot of you would be interested in what he's saying.

Jason David Frank, or Tommy from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Turbo, Power Rangers Dino Thunder, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, had the following to say in regards to the latest season of Power Rangers - Power Rangers Megaforce:

Man, in releases like these he seems....pleasant....
I once worked guest relations at a con that had a few former rangers....nice chaps......but JDF......everything about that man....attitude, body language.....it was like a rattlesnake....nature just had a way of letting you instinctively know to stay the EFF away.

also, greatest ranger? Heck no! thats still Austin St. John. a man who went from playing a Hero to being a hero!

I would have liked to see several older actors guest staring in Megaforce, but I also respect them if they turn down a role if they felt they would have been cheated. Hollywood is a different world for sure.

He need's to come back for Megaforce. Come on this is the 20th.

See, I've heard the opposite about ASJ. Like, he's a nice guy and all that, but I heard he was the one who was the ring-leader in the "We want more money or we quit" peace-conference. Pretty sure he was the one who stated the reason he returned to Zeo was because he needed the money (was living with his mom?), and that he would only come back at a certain $$ amount and guaranteed a spot in the next movie.

JDF came back to Dino Thunder as a FAVOR to Doug Sloan. So again, I dunno.

While I would love to see Jason suited up again and in action, the guy has a firm grasp on the reality that the fans respect him regardless of cameos and that the current market will go where it wants to. If he doesn't want to come back and jump through hoops for a few peoples' amusement then more power to him.

As a huge Tommy nerd i hope he comes back for an episode or 2. But ican see his side and not wanting to deal with Saban again. So whatever happens happens.

I see all his messages on Facebook and he comes off as a good guy to his fans from what I see. Sometimes he tends to go overboard with all the ranger references , but it's his bread and butter and what his fans want I guess?

I've got massive respect for the man but for fucks sake, proof-read before you post something like that, Frank!

I know I am not a shining example of spelling or punctuation. But his stuff makes me cringe sometimes. Then I realize he does get lunches in the head for a living.

Lunches in the head? That's where I insert my lunches too! Usually through the mouth and then on through to my stomach.

I was thinking at this point they season usually has already completed filming but perhaps. not. If he isn't already in the 1st season I don't think he will make an appearance.
I hope things work out that he ends up being on the show in more than a voice over or dubbing his suit role.

The cast of Megaforce have tweeted that they've just re-arrived in New Zealand to film the second half of the season, aka, "Super Megaforce". Chances are we'll get some spoilage in Twitter or Facebook in the next month or two if anyone is returning.

well, (and as always I keep my source anonymous) but Like I've said before I had a good long talk with someone UP there in the production way back in the day. and basically according to them, the whole "Leaving the show" amounted to A) The actors relative youth and inexperience in Hollywood & B) Their agent whisper into their ear that if they walked THEN production would bend and pay them more. (even though, while the show was MAKING a trillion dollars, MMPR productions wasn't getting any more money TO give them)

There was a SUPER-sense of "No one was offended, we just felt bad it happened" in the conversation. because the person I spoke to had plenty to say on...certain cast members, but ASJ got nothing but praise, and that has always spoke WAY more to me then any fan theories or "The other guys" side.

I think with all the hype for Tommy (JDF), the one person who could make a bigger splash returning than Tommy would probably be Kimberly (Amy Jo Johnson).

If I could hope for anyone in particular to return it would be SPD Red Ranger. I really loved his story and choice at the end of SPD. Either way we have an exciting 2 seasons ahead of us! :D

I want to see Selwyn Ward, The First Black Leader of the Power Rangers, return.
He's a pretty chill guy, from the looks of things.

ROFL many of his fans would go crazy for him going back to a ep of PR or more.I met the guy hes cool and does tell ALOT of stories from the older ranger days and so forth even the cast themselves.He did say that ASJ was kinda cocky at times but everyone has their own judgement of people

I hope he comes back. If not as Gokai Silver then has an American Aka-Red or something.
