The pace was a little to fast for my liking but a very strong start for the series. I'll post more once the sub is out. Will say this though loved seeing the grunts dancing in the closing credits. Don't think we've had that since Kakuranger!

There was credit-grunt-dancing in Abaranger.

I think Blue and Red are gonna have alot of big brother type moments,which is cool.I also think there's a secret behind Torin,but I wont be 100% sure till I see more episodes/subs.

I'm gonna go out on a limb now and say that Torin looks evil as shit. Whose bright idea was it for a giant man bird monster to be the mentor for dinosaur heroes? :lol

Watched the raw. It's already pretty fun. Good music, just kind of a fun vibe throughout. Reminds me of Fourze but without that moody bitch Kengo.

I liked that the main villains' colors correspond to the Kyoryuger colors. Wonder if that means each like color will face off throughout the series. They villains are creepy as hell though! Not even just the clown stripper monster. The skull face boss dude is legitimately scary. Excellent creature designs so far.

Is Torin supposed to be an Archaeopteryx? That'd be cool.

The T-rex mech is cool as hell. He's almost like a big labrador retriever. In the file marked "Things that will never ever happen," Bandai would have plans for a giant SHF version.

Also the uniforms really do work better in motion than I'd expected. Black still looks best but Red and Blue are nice as well.

Brids evolved from dinosaurs. So Torin is sortof the DinoZords greatgreatgreat gransson/bird/thing

Red's whole thing with riding the avalanche he caused and letting GabuTyra swallow is the kind of awesomeness I demand from lead rangers.

I had a LOT of fun with this. Can't wait for the sub.

I am a sucker for scenes with both ranger and zord in the same frame. Dman you Toei, you knew that'd keep me around.

That said, I'm getting my bitching out of the way right now:
1) Dance to henshin is still the most moronic (for lack a stronger word that doesn't insult the mentally disabled) thing I've ever seen. It has no rhyme or reason to exist.

2) Dear morpher/narrator, shut the fuck up. You make my ears bleed. You sound like Mickey Mouse trying to talk like Krang while impersonating Tomokazu Seki. You ruined an otherwise awesome role play toy.

3) This one's not nearly as annoying as the other two. The opening theme wasn't used very well in the fight. They used the slow part when the fast part would've worked a lot better.



Now for some good:
1) Action direction. Oh Sakamoto, will I ever tire of you? The T-Rex and Red fighting together was a lot of fun to watch. The T-Rex's finisher (fighting the big monster) was insanly awesome.

2) There's at least some since of character in this episode. Blue looks to be a lot like Flynn mix with some Ziggy. Green looks to be the quiet guy that doesn't like guns. Black seems to have a huge ego (and I think he's suppose to be American...in which case I have to ask where the cowboy hat is). Pink is "the girl." Red...all I really got from him without subs was that he knew the mentor and was naming attacks before he gets powers.

3) The villain generals are just as goofy as they look. The head guy looks strangely like the Statue of Liberty. I'm pretty sure the location that Black fights near the first is suppose to be the base of the Statue of Liberty. It's just odd. Hope the subs help that. Also, the Ice Age themed monster was a great design.


I'm not exactly sure the team forms at the end, but that's something the subs will clear up. I'll be back when the subs are out and I know what's being said.

PS The first line of the show spoken by a human is "What is that?!" To that, I have to say good question. I have no idea what the dumb troops are suppose to be. They look like Jamaican amoebas. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I just wanted to say Jamaican amoebas. :p

I realy like the opening it is cool and catchy. I also enjoyed the episode I don't think we have had a sentai were they had to defeat their zords to get control of them so fare Ryu is my favourite.

That ending is freaking wonderful. I can't wait for subs. I love this sentai, methinks.

I still haven't watched the raw as I'm finishing up Season 1 of Game of Thrones, and I figure at this point, the subbed version will be out in a few hours.

That was enjoyable. Kyoryuger get two thumbs up.

This show just might end up being my second favorite. I loved everything about it. I can't wait to see it subbed. I'm going to try and limit my purchasing of merchandise from this line.

Havent seen it in english yet but I like what I saw, I think. I like how the Trex was an active member of the episode

WOW. Just watched the full raw and damn. That was one hell of a fun ride. I can already see things to like in each character, and these battles are going to be zany and awesome. Gabutyra shooting Red out of his mouth at a bad guy so red can perform an over the top attack? Yup, Toei has succeeded in creating their epic and super powerful team that they wanted :D

I'd also like to give a shout-out to the rather crap English actor yelling "what is that!" in a very flat, kinda way.

Loved the first episode, interesting to see the others aid him and not reveal their identities to him. Gonna love this show :)

Was it as bad as that english guy congratulating Kai for getting the balloon from the first episode of MagiRanger while he was eating?

I have never understood why Toei will get these English speakers to speak in the most slowest monotone voices ever. In fact, half of the time, any English speaker seems to speak English much poorer than a Japanese actor speaking English.

Hey those white american actors aren't nearly as awful as the Japanese actors in black face during the scenes with Daigo. That was pretty bad Toei.

I wonder if it's like it used to be for old Kung-Fu flicks and they just rounded up whoever spoke English from Government House and had done with it. :)

That said, KyoryuPink's English? Adorable. :) I watched the raw yet again just now and I can't get over how much fun this show is. The notion of combining batteries, dinosaurs, and samba is the kind of thing that would usually get one committed, but it worked here.

Y u no have subs yet!?!

Well considering overtime just put out another episode of Yoshihiko we know how they're using valuable time for Kyoryuger :( Should be out tomorrow or so though.

No subs is probably because it is the first episode, which always takes longer due to the fresh translations for songs and character names and such.

Anyway, I got impatient and watched the raw. It wasn't bad, but I was expecting a lot more comedy than it had since it was said it was going to be comedic. I did like when the one villain started to drool over the pink ranger's color. The opening theme was pretty good, but the ending theme was just awful. Their dancing did not fit at all with the music, and they seemed to be energetic while the song seemed to be low key. I am definitely going to have to watch this thing subbed though, because this is the first Sentai episode in years that I have not been able to follow all that well raw. Finally, I will say I am tired of seeing red rangers be a T-Rex. This is the third time now and it is redundant. They could have at least went with either a Raptor or a Spinosaurus if they had to go for a carnivore. At least they didn't make blue a triceratops again.

All in all, not a bad premier, but I was expecting a little bit more. Nevertheless, I look forward to the subbed version.

Considering they went way out of their safe zone and gave Pink the Triceratops this time I'm actually surprised that Reds' first mecha is a T-Rex. Though if you look at the upcoming batteries he's definitely going to get at least one other main mecha that's not a T-Rex. But still
